I went here at the recommendation of my sister and I'm glad I went. I ordered the three tacos with beef, lettuce, and cheese and it was very good. Being my first time there and, after joining the loyalty program, I got a bag of chips with queso dip. Every thing was delicious. I ordered take-out and the food was ready when I got there. Came in because I was hungry after grocery shopping nearby. I've had the bubbakoos in other locations so I thought I knew what to expect, but I decided to be a bit more adventurous and try the chiwawa. Don't recommend it... its a large rice ball and the inside was dense and cold. Even paying extra for queso, it didn't warm much of the rice up at all-may need multiple scoops of queso and a refry/bake after it was cut open to fix that. The outside was not crunchy either. But also giving it a 2 because the toppings they scoop universally for their dishes did not look great nor were they generous with scoopping it (but I still tried to get the toppings because I like my veggies). The corn looked dry and wrinkly, blended tomato salsa was too watery (I didn't see the chunky one available either). With a 4.8 google review and mixed yelp reviews I was pretty optimistic. So why not right here at the brand new Bubbakoo's in Livingston where they definitely got you covered for Taco Time!!   First visit over here I went with the Ground Beef Taco Trio Meal with Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, Pico, Corn, Pickled Jalapeños, Cilantro, and Sour Cream and I couldn't have asked for a better lunchtime meal than that. The service here was good. The staff answered all my questions. The place has lots of seating for those who want to eat in. It's conveniently located across the Aldi's supermarket. I got the nachos and the tacos. Both were quite good, flavorful and crunchy. The food appears to be freshly made, and they didn't charge me extra for the toppings that I asked more of. I loved the grilled chicken over the ground beef and shredded chicken. The one thing is that took away from everything was that the food was a little on the saltiness side. First time visit. I tried to use their app but it did not work, kept saying I had to choose a later time. I had the 3 taco special for $7.50, comes with chips. The shredded chicken tasted good and was hot, although it was too wet. All that liquid got my chips and shells soggy. The meat portion they give was tiny. There was hair in the order. The restaurant staff uses hair nets and there was still hair in my food. The manager had the audacity to treat me in a disrespectful manner and told me I placed the hair in the container myself. I had not even asked for my money back and I didn't want more food. I simply wanted to report a health sanitation issue and was told to go eat elsewhere because they were a popular franchise and my business was not needed. The manager even refused to look at the photo and began to gaslight me. So picture this: it was a restaurant I loved and recommended to others. the manager lied about the hair of her other staff,, treated me horribly, accused me of being a liar and planting the hair, refused to look at the photo I was showing her, Uber Eats refused to refund the order before I went to the restaurant in person to tell them what happened, the food was very well-packed, in fact one of the best places to pack food for delivery, but yet there was a long strand of hair well inside the burrito bowl and the lady has the audacity to say I was making this up. There was a police officer present and he didn't want to get involved in the matter but I showed him the photo since the staff refused to look at my phone, and he even agreed it looked nothing like my hair. A simple acknowledgment of their failure to meet food safety standards or their lying about the hair of their staff is just ridiculous and embarrassing. I have eaten at many different Bubbakoo's. This is my first time coming to the new Livingston location. My order was correct and ready at the promised time. The staff was nice. I agree with the other yelper that there is not enough chicken in my bowl. This is simply comparing with other locations. Also, the amount of guac in my bowl is less than the usual one big scoop. Please make sure you let your staff know not to give less than what it is supposed to be. I love Bubbakoo's, and this location is convenient for me. I will try one more time. If the amount of chicken and guac is still less than the location in Parsippany, I will go back to patronize the Parsippany location. read more

Overall it was just ok. I felt like it was very underseasoned and the protein was very little, especially for the $13 dollar price point. I feel like I get more protein when I go to chipotle. Overall I don't think I would return. However, the staff was really nice and friendly. read more

Only giving 2 stars since staff was excellent. I ordered a a Silly Philly to go. Was 70% rice 20% onions 5% peppers 5% meat. Not worth the cost of the meal. If I wasn't a to go order I would have asked for refund. Maybe they should call it the Silly Rice Burrito read more

The food here is tasty. My favorite protein is their crispy chicken, but there are many other options too. The service is very good and the staff is also friendly. They have tacos, nachos, burritos, bowls, quesadillas, and more. The place is very clean and they usually prepare the take-out orders very fast. We've been going here for a quick Mexican fix since it's opening. My daughter loves the taco trio and I'm a big fan of the bowls. I haven't noticed the lack of protein in these dishes, though when my husband got the burritodilla he did mention it was a little sparse on steak. The location is clean and bright and friendly. It's easy to order online and grab and go your pick up. We also have had their nachos which we enjoyed. Unlike some places, we haven't found the food to get soggy when we take out which can happen with chips/tortillas, etc. It's a good go to for us as a family and we find the prices extremely reasonable for a quick dinner. read more

The food here is great, I recently left a review complaining about the quality of some ingredients however I think they've addressed that! I have gotten a burrito from this location 4 times since that last review, and 3/4 times the food was great! One time they did put a salsa in my burrito that I didn't order, and I'm allergic to tomatoes so that wasn't fun. Other than that, the location is clean and comfortable. I've been to this location twice since they opened. The food is very average. Sometimes I go during the day on my lunch break out of convenience but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here any other time. I'd rather go to Chipotle on Route 10. The food doesn't look the freshest here. Looks like it's been sitting out for a while and isn't the highest quality of ingredients. If I'm absolutely starving, I'll eat it but Bubbakoo's is never my first choice. read more

Talk about highway robbery. Overpriced is an understatement. This place is basically chipotle, but double the price. Nothing jumps out at you that I'd say it's worth trying. Save your money and go to chipotle. I ordered a bowl with "extra meat." I'd hate to see what the non extra meat serving looks like because my serving was pathetic. There was nothing "extra" about the protein. It was 90% rice, beans, and condiments and about 11 tiny pieces of meat. I'm so sick of this trend. These folks really need to calm down with the pricing because it's not like you're getting anything original here. Chipotle beat them to it, and guess what, Chipotle tastes way better. Just to clarify, I spent just shy of 35 bucks, and all I ordered is one bowl, and an order of fried Oreos. Do the math. A family of 4 would theoretically come out to about 80-90 bucks for Chipotle quality food. Hard pass on this place. I'd rather eat Taco Bell. Stay away from this place. read more

We had this delivered at work. I ordered a bowl with grilled chicken, brown rice, veggies, salsa and added queso & cilantro. Delicious! My coworker skipped the queso and added lettuce & guac.
