Id not been here in a while. I always loved the food. So back I went. I wanted the garden salad. They used to have so many raw veggies you could put in it, e.g. celery, broccoli, onions, cauliflower and you got a nice piece of cornbread with your salad. No more. Shrinkflation has prevailed. No veggies. No cornbread. The chicken of course is always great. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap. lol. I didn't know I ordered a miniature wrap. If you're hungry remember to order two wraps. I didn't know they could be so small. Oh well. I'll get a nice crisp Diet Pepsi fountain soda. Surprise. No diet soda. They had Pepsi Zero. No one told them that diet soda has a very different taste than zero soda. Oh well. They say things change. I agree 100%. read more

I was reading most recent reviews within a month and they were all horrible but I said you know what I want to give this place a try. I am so glad I did. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. It was very clean inside the ambiance was clean. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Some people complained that they don't wear gloves. I could name several high-end restaurants where the chefs don't wear gloves. Gloves were a thing during Covid. We've been five years out of Covid. I recommend this place. I will be back. I ordered the quarter white chicken with two sides. The sides I got were stuffing and mac & cheese. It comes with a corn muffin they offer you any sauces. I came in for take out- 5 sides and two pieces of chicken. Points to note The young lady at the cash register was friendly. None of the workers handling food had gloves on. Got the food home and as you can see in the pictures the food was under cooked, slimy and FULL OF SALT. We threw out the entire meal. There was a horrible smell to the chicken. All of the sides were loaded with salt. The food was not edible. I called the store to speak with a manager. I was told there was no one to help. I went to La Rosa for lunch yesterday. I liked the selection of Southern style sides and chicken they had. The people behind the counter were very nice and helpful. I got chicken tenders with Mac & cheese, sweet potato purée, and a corn muffin. All were delicious. I got a side of honey mustard and their La Rosa sauce. Again: both were delicious! I have been picking up from La Rosa Chicken in Madison the past year every couple of weeks. The food has been consistently fresh and delicious. The Mac and cheese and tomato salad are great sides with my chicken order. Tonight they went above and beyond. I had never noticed they have a chicken rice soup. I asked the owner (assumed he was the owner) about it and he put a soup in my bag at no charge. Totally unnecessary, but just another reason to love this place. I will be coming back again and again! Update to prior review: Ordered a half chicken roasted meal on October 28. It came with an order of mashed potatoes and overly salted broccoli. I found it overpriced. Unfortunately, I had an empty fridge as I was In the process of moving. I picked up my order and once I was home, proceeded to have my lunch. Five minutes later, I was sick. Yes, it was the meal as it was sudden. I always found their chicken tasty and it's the only thing that I eat from there. But today, since I added an order of mashed potatoes and broccoli, I was convinced it was one of those items as I saved the chicken and tried it again the next day without issues. I threw out the mashed potatoes and the overly salted broccoli that I couldn't really eat. I've come to notice that they don't use gloves. I saw them prepping someone's sandwich a time before and the gloveless guy put the fixings on and pressed down on the sandwich with his gloveless hands. I should have known better. Since my chicken comes out of the rotisserie burner with tongs and chopped up, I figure no harm, which is why I thought the chicken didn't get me sick. If it was the chicken, I believe the symptoms would have been worse. I don't plan to dine here again since I moved from this area, but even if I didn't, I'm done with them. read more

If you like Boston Market, you'll love La Rosa Chicken & Grill! Some of their menu is pretty much the same, but the taste and prices are much better. I ordered via the website on a Sunday evening and it took less then 10 minutes for them to prepare my order. There was an issue with my order when I picked it up, but the staff handled it well and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. Everything we had was full of flavor and delicious! I knew when the ribs slid off of the bone that they were going to be a hit! The rotisserie chicken was moist and seasoned well! All of the sides were good except for the mac & cheese. If you like noodles smothered in cheese sauce, you'll love the mac and cheese here. I highly recommend the creamed spinach and the mashed sweet potatoes! The corn muffins (not pictured) were also very good!! This LA Rosa is located in a shopping complex so parking is no issue. Can't give this place anything but high praise for the service and the overall quality and taste of the food! My friends treated me to a birthday take-out lunch here and we drove all the way from Boonton to pick it up. I had the lobster roll sandwich which came with fries and was stacked high with lobster! It really looked like a piece of work from observing it on the outside. I think the only other lobster roll I had that topped this one was a $40 one in Maine that was more lobster than roll. Anyway, this place had a most-delicious lobster roll that was good with every bite! It was very fresh and full of flavor. Fries were also great, especially with the tartar sauce. Friends had the Reuben and the grilled chicken sandwich. They loved their meals and would definitely recommend. Service was extremely friendly and they were grateful for our business. I finally made it into La Rosa today after wanting to try it for a while now. It's a semi small place in a shopping center but there is a line of booths to sit in. It seems most people were getting it to go but you can definitely eat there. Nice selection of sides. I opted for the sweet potato which was really good and the rice. I ordered the quarter white meat and the additional ribs bc I wanted to try both. The chicken had a nice skin on it and was very juicy. The ribs were my type of ribs. Fell right off the bone and the sauce was delicious. I think I'll get those again next time since I love my ribs. I wanted to try a few other things but I'll wait until I go back. How have I never come across this chain until now?? Delicious chicken tenders, ribs, and sides! The chicken tenders come in mild or spicy and both are great - crispy and tender (multiple sauce options - I like the garlic parm and creamy buffalo). The ribs are fall off the bone tender and are really delicious (best I've had in the area and totally worth the price). My favorite sides are the creamed spinach, mac and cheese (it's ultra cheesy), and corn. I had never tried "roast chicken" and ordered it under the wrong impression that it is the same as "rotisserie chicken" and learned that they are totally different - I would describe it as more smokey and less salty. Would definitely recommend this place - odd to say this for a chain but it is one of my favorite restaurants in the area! read more

Today, we finally stopped by this small franchise and it was an experience with mixed feelings. We had ordered a crispy (spicy) chicken sandwich, a half and a quarter of rotisserie chicken with fries, corn, and broccoli. The best of the bunch was the spicy chicken sandwich. It caught me off guard and had to give it the top spot of the order. The broccoli and corn was good as well. Rotisserie chicken was okay, not wow in any sort, not bad either. Where I say it was the low point here is the customer service. The dude that was taking the orders looked as if he had no business being there. He kept rushing with the whole order and with the whole attitude, I was going to snap but nah, brotha was probably salty over something before. You can tell that the stuffing is a boxed mix, the gravy is bad and the Mac n cheese is similar to a kraft mac n cheese, just tasteless, same w mashed potatoes. Wanted to check this place out. Staff was friendly. Love seeing their rotisserie oven. I ordered the skirt steak platter that came with 2 sides and a cornbread. The steak had so much flavor and was juicy. The cornbread was really good, maybe the best cornbread I've had. It wasn't falling apart like other cornbreads I've had. Okay, a Boston Market knock-off with Greek flavor. Basically a saltier, more expensive version of Boston Market, almost all the same things, but the mac & cheese was grainy and disappointing.
