Ordered out from here on Thursday February 20th 2025. We actually used the mobile app to order our food inside of going inside. We ordered 1 crispy chicken bacon ranch quesadilla, and 3 bowls. I had a bowl with Grilled chicken, the sweet chili sauce, White rice, black beans, diced onion, fresh jalapenos, and lettuce. My Mom ordered another bowl with Grilled chicken, the garlic parm sauce, brown rice,black beans, pineapple salsa, Cheese, ranch, corn salsa, sour cream, and lettuce. My dad ordered Hibachi shrimp with sweet chili, brown rice, pice de gayo, Fresh Jalapenos, cheese, lettuce, and sour cream. Said through the ordering system that order would be ready in 15- 20 minutes. Gotta say, ordering it through the app is easy, and it tells you if a sauce is spicy or not. good experience using the app i think. Easy payment too, as one all has to do is pick it up. Ordering was easy enough. First timer, I tried hibachi steak and shrimp with rice topped with jalapeños cheese sour cream and guac which they were pretty generous with which was cool. The meal tasted ok nothing to rave about but it was very acceptable. Shrimp and steak were ok, was cooked decently, was hoping for more flavor but the toppings helped . Also ordered sweet chili wings which literally tasted like the sweet chili sauce I buy at the store, really thought they had their own recipe sauce(s) so that was disappointing. Burritos are mediocre. Shrimp is awesome. Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. And during covid that is not good. I was the first customer there when they opened and there was literally poop and pee on the toilet seat, which clearly hasn't been cleaned since they opened. As a taco and burrito enthusiast, I was not impressed. I felt like the price was more than what you were getting. The food tasted good, but the employees were less than helpful as they understood they menu better than the person who was there the first time and grew frustrated if you didn't know how it worked. The serving sizes were good and again there was nothing wrong with the taste, but the price for the quality was not proportionate. As a small business owner, I never leave negative reviews as I am aware of how they can impact the business. My experience with this store has been terrible since they have opened. I have been a very frequent customer despite the constant negative experiences, as it's 2 mins away from the gym and their shredded chicken is delicious. I have been a customer of Bubbakoo's in Rockland County and other locations, and have always ordered the same item. A large side of shredded chicken. Every other location aside from Monroe NY location charges based on the container size. They charge by the scoop, and when I spoke to the owner about how it's not right to have inconsistent pricing, she said she's doing me a favor by allowing me to purchase a side without purchasing a main dish. Aside from the pricing inconsistency, the owner is a very short tempered lady. I give this small business a zero star rating. Give your business to people who actually care about your customers. To the owner, you should start treating your customers better. Instead of being a leader, and showing your team how to take care of your customers, you have taught them how to turn them away. If you want to have a conversation about how you can improve, I would be happy to sit down with you. Until then, this review will stay up, I will not be returning. read more

I ordered a chicken bacon ranch burrito to go to Woodbury Commons. I could taste the chicken, bacon and ranch dressing. The rice added a good base texture to the birrito. We found this place randomly online looking for a new spot on our way to our destination. I love the fact that there are tons of options and toppings to fit any diet you might have ! I do not eat meat or dairy (only seafood) so it was easy to customize my order accordingly. I got the shrimp burrito which I only could finish half of as I was also eating on the Cauliflower "Wings". My husband LOVED his fried rice and cheese ball with all the fixings. We ordered our food on their app which was very user friendly. I appreciated that although they have a designated area you can grab your online pickups they did not mind bringing our food to our car since we did not want to go in (hopefully they will not mind in the future as we would love to come back). The employees are all vaccinated to work there but I appreciated that they did not mind bringing out our pickup order and appreciated our business ! Definitely a place worth trying. I've gotten lunch here twice since they opened in October. Both were good experiences. The food is fresh, tasty and large portions. Workers were friendly. First time I had a Barbacoa beef burrito bowl, next time a grilled chicken burrito bowl. I also like the app, easy to use and rewards are always nice! I took off a star for two reasons. I do agree that the food temp could be hotter, although it's somewhat difficult to gauge because so many cold toppings get added to the rice and meat. Also, most meals are to go in the time of covid so it could cool down a little there. I'm basing this mainly on how hot my plate of food felt when I picked it up, as I expected it to cool down a bit in the 10 minutes it took to drive home. The other reason is the prices are a bit high, even higher than Chipotle which isn't cheap. All the entrees start at $9.50, and go up from there if you add guacamole, or meat upgrades etc. It is a good amount of food, and the store likely has a high overhead (I counted at least 12 workers the first day)... but I think that the price could be an issue for a quick serve place. A family of 4 is likely going to pay at least $50 for a meal, not including drinks, apps or sides. But I like having them in the neighborhood and I hope they will be able to make it long term! read more

I placed an order online and went to pick up on my break from work. Start eatting my "carnitas" bowl when I realize there is no carnitas at all. Literally only veggies and rice. How do you forget the carnitas? It was not even busy at all. I call them and they told me they can't do anything about it since they are about to close. Just asked for my name and number. I paid for carnitas you should at least give me a partial refund or attempt to fix the mistake that is so unprofessional! Service on my last two pick up orders from the manager were terrible. He did not want to be bothered on both occasions and on my last order simply directed me to just go get my food on the wall along with the others not even realizing it wasn't ready yet. Once the order was complete he bagged it and just left it on the counter while I was getting drinks and did not even tell me it was ready. I had my doubts about this spot because the pictures of the food that they have outside the establishment look very fake, almost like taco bell pictures. I went inside and was coldly asked what I wanted. I assembled a burrito and paid - almost $14!! It's kind of like Chipotle; the size and shape of the burrito is like that of a football. The protein I chose, grilled chicken was okay but the rest of the fillings were not very good. The peppers were thick and chewy, the "hot" hot salsa was mild and the liquidy sour cream was served out of a squeeze bottle. Overall I'm very disappointed. 2 stars for the burrito, minus another star for the price and cold service.
