Big portions, but food just straight up not good. Chips stale, salsa was whatever, chorizo queso was weird. Just chopped chorizo with a small amount of cheese. Carne asada was a plain tasteless flank steak. Refried beans watery. Even the water tasted off which is unsettling for a restaurant. Should have been first warning. Service was noticeably slow. My girlfriend and I were here on Tuesday evening, the place was not busy. We were seated right away and the service attentive. We ordered drinks(1/2 price) a positive for sure. Chips were stale. If restaurant ratings were solely based on interior, I'd give this place a 5. It's Mexican eye candy! (And be sure to check out the toilet and sink in the women's restroom!) But I'm giving the place a 4 - the food was very good (I got very good shrimp and mushroom enchiladas , my husband had the chicken enchiladas- both served with flavorful beans and rice). But the service was never-present - there seemed to be several servers but it was impossible to flag them down. We stumbled upon this place Friday evening. They have only been in this location for a few months so it wasn't very busy which was great for us. We started with super nachos and Queso derretido con chorizo. They were both great, filled with flavor! For dinner we got enchiladas Guadalajara and flautas. Both were good, the shredded chicken inside both was moist and the sauce that was on the enchiladas was tasty. We also got some tacos on the side two birria, one al pastor and a hard taco with ground beef. The birria were great, the al pastor wasn't my favorite and the hard taco with ground beef was good. I love that they don't use the typical hard taco shells!! For dessert we got flan and churros. Although the the desserts were good the presentation was not. They were both surrounded by mountains of whip cream, chocolate sauce and cherries. Basically turning them into sundaes. Which for me isn't appealing, I would of preferred to be asked if I wanted those things added. Overall the food was good, the service was great but the dessert could be better. read more

Everything was excellent! The ambiance is on point, the food and is delicious and the service was top notch.

My husband and I decided to stop here for a quick bit to eat and grab some tacos. Too bad we missed out on the lunch specials over all the prices wasn't bad at all. So delicious! Our family and church staff have eaten here several times and we always love our food. Last night it was a spicy mango margarita , burritos, Sopa de pollo, tacos, and chimichangas and everyone loved what they ordered. Always delicious, always great service, and a super cute interior. I've passed by this place several times, last night I was able to finally try it and I must say I am pleasantly surprised! Food was delicious, the ambiance great and family friendly. I had the bistek tres compadres, steak wrapped in bacon and topped with a rich creamy sauce, definitely to die for, it might sound overwhelming but it was not at all! The tacos were flavorful, the meat was well seasoned and cooked perfectly and the red and green sauces definitely delicious ! Give these guys a try you're gonna want to go back! Wow, why is this place not packed every day? The food is great. The ambience is beautiful and not overdone. The drinks are really good (margarita and tequila and good beer selection). They are building an outdoor patio, which looks like it will be ready soon. Can't wait. The menu is quite diverse for a Mexican restaurant. Everything my family ate was truly delicious and my son is a very picky eater. This was our second visit and I intend to go back often. I suggest you go there too and you will be pleasantly surprised. Jalisco doesn't look like much from the outside, but it has really good character inside.. The music was festive and romantic if you allow yourself to be immersed in it while dining. I think we were served by one of the owners who was very friendly and accommodating. The only thing lacking was more customers which I think would improve the service that I read in other reviews so they can hire a larger server staff. It's worth the trip if you're not local and has good parking (on premises lot and street parking). It's just on the edge of downtown Monroe. read more

We stopped here for a quick lunch while driving back from a quick shopping trip...were a little hesitant since there aren't a lot of reviews yet but my husband and I both really enjoyed our lunches. For starters they bring you a basket of great chips and really good fresh salsa...not unusual but very good. The chips were warm and fresh. For my lunch I had 2 soft tacos - one chicken and one steak. They're small - street tacos really - but inexpensive too. My husband loves mole sauce so he had the mole enchiladas and loved them. Decided to give this place a try since it's been open but haven't really seen anyone go in. So I stopped in with my fiancé. The waiter was nice but the food took forever to get to our table. One would think maybe because it's busy and the cooks have multiple orders but this place had only 1 other customer so I didn't quite understand what was taking so long. Once the food got to our table my fiancé didn't like her food, it had an odd taste and it had absolutely no seasoning.
