We decided to order from Bubbakoo because they had a great family meal. When we got our order delivered, we took it out of the bag and the boxes were opened. Then we noticed that they only gave us a box of beef for the tacos but that's it! No tacos, lettuce or anything that the family meal comes with. I called them and they told me I would have to wait another 45 for them to bring the rest and I asked if I could just come pick up the rest of my order and they told me still 45 min. Great tasting food and real solid menus items but they never get the order exactly right. Whether it's forgetting jalapeños on the quesadilla, side sauces or even forgetting to make the tater tots buffalo tots. It's not the end of the world but attention to details definitely matter. Wanted to update my review. Food is great and the people who work there are very friendly. What keeps me from giving the last star is their gift cards. I've gotten a couple and they are great until the balance if under $5. Their machine wont accept a charge under $5, (I believe they run them as credit) so if your card has less that $5, it's useless. Which I find to be pretty annoying to say the least. Come for the food and the people, beware the gift cards. read more

I think this place is over priced. Each topping or ingredient is an extra charge. Really charging for peppers, onions, and salsa!! By the time I was done creating my meal, I could have make tacos at home for 4 people. The guacamole was squeezed out of a plastic bag-NOW THAT'S FRESH! For an establishment that prides itself on fast service and high quality food really comes up short. Our to go order took over and hour and half to be delivered and everything was either luke warm or cold. The burritos were falling apart and not good quality at all. First off, this place is a total highschool hang out. The amount of bikes and teeneagers in one place is insane. The quesadillas are alright and the tacos are not bad. They are a little pricey as it cost 10 for 3 tacos with guacamole. The beef has a good flavor but they barely give you any as they are trying to push the extra beef for .99. 11 bucks for 3 ground beef tacos not my thing. You're better off going to surf taco as their hard shells and salsa is way better. Ok, my detest for this place has inspired me to write this review. Ive eaten here a few times and every time I leave disappointed and even mad. Let me just say that I am usually very easy to please and am not at all a picky eater and happen to love this style of food. Ill cover a few things. Here we go... The food: Its OK. Being from San Diego, I was never overly impressed with east coast "coastal cuisine." However I do enjoy places like Surf Taco, Chipotle and Qdoba. Bubbakoos doesnt belong anywhere near those ranks but would be a decent alternative IF they were priced right. In NO WAY should a steak quesadilla, two burritos and nachos cost near 50 dollars. In Cali the same would cost around 16-18 total. They get you by offering you "upgrades" such as double meat and charge you for things that youd think came with the meal. Almost everything youd want costs extra and the staff puts the pressure on you to get it. The service: Of course this will differ depending on where you go but at this particular one Ive never felt comfortable ordering here. Aside from the pressure for "upgrades" the staff behind the counter think its fine to talk about personal out of work "hang out" problems and often forget what youd order asking you repeatedly what you said you wanted. Bubbakoo's is just OK. My chicken burrito (rice, black beans, peppers & onions, & sour cream) was decent. I wasn't really overly impressed with the place. My friend got the pulled pork tacos, which were pretty lame. Pork was cold, soggy and pretty salty. I mean its not bad food but its not something I would crave. First time at Bubbakoo's Burritos. The staff were patient, polite and friendly. All had a smile on their face and looked at you when they talked to you. Food was fresh and tasty. We ate our food there and enjoyed watching the teamwork behind the counter. Definitely will go back there again for not only the food but the friendly staff. read more

It's in the middle of June and they didn't have any air conditioning going. The heat dampened the overall experience and honestly my food would have tasted better if I was battling the heat the whole time. Besides that, this place is great. Everyone was super friendly. The place was clean and I was served promptly. I had 3 fish tacos that were really good. Fresh tasting salsa and veggies. Some of the best I've ever had. The tortilla and chips they served tasted like they came from the bag. I think if they made their own tortilla and chips it would set this place apart for real but for a quick little eat it's great. read more

This is one of my fav places to stop for lunch after the gym. The staff is always super friendly and the food is good. Better than Surf Taco IMHO, and definitely more affordable than Chipotle! I'm not that adventurous so I tend to get a salad every time I visit, though I'm always envious of the people ahead of me ordering the nacho tots and fried Oreos! Look and smell delicious! They also give a student meal offer which is nice. Another thing I notice is that they'll pretty much make you anything in any way you want, not "stick to the menu" sticklers! Stopped into Bubbakoo's in Point Pleasant because I was in a hurry to eat and run. Gotta love the old assembly line burrito where you pick exactly what you want inside, kinda like making your own Wawa coffee. I had a double meat pork and chicken burrito and had it filled with the usual suspects, rice, beans, salsa, etc. and have to say it was awesome! The meats were fresh and didn't lack on seasoning, was like eating two burritos in one. The two guys working this particular day were friendly and socialized with all the customers coming in to get their food. The place was pretty clean from what I could tell even though it's a shared restaurant with Jersey Mike's Subs with the same general dining area. I'll definitely be coming back here when in the mood for another monster burrito! read more

The menu was available in our room at the Sand Pebble Motor Lodge, otherwise I wouldn't have known about them, being from out of town. The menu looked great. I started off wanting a Chiwawa and ended up ordering an El Jefe which I shared with my husband. It was good. Loved the pico de gallo. It's true what the other reviewers have said. BubbaKoo's does nickel and dime you for toppings and other extras driving up the cost of your meal. The crew is friendly but I think it's part of Bubbakoo's mission statement so sometimes it comes off a little fake. But the guys do a good job of moving people through during peak times. If you are on a budget, then Bubbakoo's is probably not for you. But for a chain, it is what it is. If you got a few extra sheckles to spend then it's an ok option. "A-OK" pretty much sums it up. First off I used to order from here literally every single week. UNTIL I was in the Point Pleasant location eating one day and saw a cockroach. TWO YEARS LATER I decide to give them a try again. I order two RICE bowls with veggies , beans and guacamole. What do I get? Two bowls of beans and under cooked onions. No rice! I called and was given a hard time that I have to specifically say and order RICE in the RICE bowl that I ordered. I said wait. I order a rice bowl and I have to clarify that I want rice in my rice bowl. He said yes. I don't think so. I am done. And will never order from them again. DONE. read more

I've been eating a Bubbakoo's for years and the quality of food and service has gone down. The workers are amazing! However, the food has gotten worse. Orders are always wrong. Today I order a delivery order and it was going to take over an hour for delivery, I have no issue with this. I understand it's busy. But when my food arrived I was horribly disappointed. I order tater tots with cheese (they charge you for cheese), and I did not get any cheese. The last time I ordered they completely forgot my tater tots and cheese. In addition I ordered a bowl with brown rice, pinto beans, pico, house salsa, lettuce, sour cream and cheese. The bowl was almost entirely rice, there was no house salsa or pico, no cheese, and barely any lettuce. It wasn't even good to eat. I am severely disappointed with this service. I have to say this location is consistent, and by that I say consistently screwing up our order. The approximate 10 times we've got food from Bubbakoos PP 9 times the order was missing items or the order was wrong. Several times they had to send a driver just to drop off our missing chips. It became comical after a while because even after we stopped ordering from here and recently giving them another shot they still don't have it together. Is there something in their system that says "oh it's these people again, make sure the order isn't correct". Now I have to order on the phone, drive there and check my order before I leave because it's inevitable that something is not right. I won't dare have them deliver again. Tonight our cheese was missing for our tots which I caught before leaving. When I got home I found tacos were just shells and shrimp. No toppings! I think we have been more than fair by trying and trying again but this will be the last time we will be going to this location. 1 order right out of 10 is not a good standard. The food is OK but to be honest we used to go to Chevys for the same price and had a better meal. Everyone kept comparing this place to Chipotle, which apparently is the standard other fast food Mexican places need to live up to, so I guess we will try them. read more

We ordered online and had a few minor issues with the order. One of the issues we found to be our fault. I called and spoke to Gerry. He apologized several times and without any hesitation said he would remake them and deliver the items in question. Had it not been for my wife's food allergy we would not even had called that's how minor the issues were with the order. He called me back to make sure everything was right about the order. Then, made a follow up phone call after the 2nd delivery was made. I have never dealt with such a friendly and professional person in the restaurant industry. Obviously, Gerry has been doing this for a while because he has mastered his craft. The young man who delivered our food the second time was extremely nice an professional as well. Both orders were very fast too. I really can not say enough. The food is delicious and our experience a was fantastic. First time ordering from this Bubbakoos in Point Pleasesnt but they have a customer for life thanks to Gerry and the crew. read more

this is my go too place for lunch. the staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating! the only things extra are like your typical quac and there mango salsa is to die for! I do not eat a lot so I always get a student meal and its 6$ with a drink! worth the price and the food is always fresh.
