It's Mahalo time till 230 and for $9 , I got the 5-0 Taco style with the soup that also includes chips and soda. Great deal. I ordered the hawaii 5-0 it was great. The chips were crunchy but didnt seem fresh. Salsa had a spice to it. The chicken was crispy. I loved that every bite i took it had every pieces of whats inside. I got a soft spot for Fins. The mahi mahi wrap with rice was delicious. The salsa that comes on the side with chips had a little kick to it. The chips were crispy and nice to have as a side as well. The coastal wrap with crunchy shrimp wasn't my favorite. Flavors were all over. Spring rolls were awesome. Crispy with a nice spicy dipping sauce added. I love ordering from Fin's. Always solid. Love the rotating specials. I just got the beef dumplings over greens and almonds. Fabulous. I usually do tacos typical 2:30-5 pm bc they like 2$ then. They stuff them too. Can eat well for 7-8$. Their rice is kinda bland but cooked correctly. Once in a blue moon they forget a side sauce or something, but no matter because are so accommodating and don't tack on heavy fees for changes or substitutions. Service is A+. Always friendly. They have three locations but my only experiences have been at the Point Pleasant location. As the auto questions ask ... yes, it's TRENDY even thought it's been around for a number of years. HIPSTER? Yes ... COOL? Yup ... Romantic ... well, I would think so not that I have gone there for romantic opportunities. It's the FOOD ... IT REALLY IS THE FOOD, which is oh so good. Creativity abounds with those who created the menu but what I always enjoy is finding a restaurant with specials that tempt and delight visitorship so that going off menu can be an awesome experience. We really challenged the Point Pleasant crew on the latest visit, which verified that FIVE STARS should be flying about FINS ... ok FINS TROPICALI's name. FIVE count them out loud ... FOOD, SERVICE, PRESENTATION, DINING ROOM FEEL, and HAPPY TIME! Ok, I made those up because I don't consider any one star to represent those five items but all count and this place is FIVE STARS! Soup ... I love soup and their soup is MMM MMM GOOD just like that canned commercial claimed theirs used to be. The BAJAN Blend is heavenly the flavors dance across the palate ! I went for this pulled pork special burrito with sweet plantains ... my daughter went for the soft shell crab burrito ... I know one person did the S Turn another the quesadillas and I am not sure about the others. It was a birthday party plus my 1 month old grandson was there ... tables needed to be moved ... oh the food ... EVERYONE was so so happy! Bonus PAPER STRAWS. YAY!!! They care about the environment ... and yes, folks you can drink several servings of a beverage with paper straws! The serving plates and bowls were compostable ... These folks care! Oh did I mention our party ... tables moved ... service superb! My only brief whine is that you have to order up at the counter but they then deliver the food to you calling your name ... and once you have been there you are in their system! So much food ... the salsa BTW was good although come on guys not in plastic cups ***Just an update; the ownership has informed me that those cups are biodegradable and made of sugar and corn. I FINished all of my food that's how delicious FINS is. The service is top tier and all the workers are very friendly. I go with the old faithful Hawaii 5.0. It's a classic and if it's your first time, I definitely recommend it. I love the tortilla chips inside the wrap it gives it the perfect crunch.They even give you this really good dip for your chips. This spot had a very huge menu! The service was very quick and the burritos came out piping hot. I was very pleased with how covid friendly the purchase of my meal was! Each burrito came with free salsa and chips, and disposable forks and knives. We were in the area looking for lunch, and having visited Hawaii recently, we decided to stop in for a taste. Unfortunately, as we walked into the restaurant, there was a very strange smell. We brought it up to the guy behind the counter, but he couldn't seem to smell anything. Regardless, we decided to order lunch. My wife ordered shrimp tacos, and I ordered a poke bowl. The poke bowl here was very different from others that I've had in the past - it's served in a taco salad bowl with a bunch of vegetables (including avocado) instead of with rice. There's not one thing at fins that I don't like. Their new location is just as good, if not better, then the location that used to be in Brick. The staff are friendly and the ingredients are fresh. Tropical, surf style cuisine with so many options! My favorite is the classic Hawaii Five-0, which is basically a spin on the chicken caesar salad wrap. It goes great with the mango island blast smoothie. They have a punch card system for smoothies where if you buy 10, you get one free. They also have a point system - for every purchase you get a certain amount of points which you can redeem for prizes or discounted merchandise. Fins will always be my go-to spot for lunch or an early dinner! read more

Cancels my door dash which was a scheduled delivery and then when I called to modify the order, he tells me the food is already made 1 hr prior and has no idea what a scheduled door dash delivery is. He also stated I should call him to deliver to me instead of using 3rd party which completely negates my initial issue. If you made the food at 4- and it was scheduled for 530- why would I expect a guarantee of quality food? Whether it's their fish, meats, or veg, your tastebuds are in for a treat. They serve fountain drinks ( soda & such) but also have healthier options like, actual teas with unsweetened options. And, speaking of tasty beverages, there's a whole menu of smoothies of just about any combo you can imagine. For example, The Banana Skippy, which is peanut butter, banana & orange. Trust me, just order it, you'll thank me later. The service, whether take out or dine-in, is always friendly & courteous. Good food & nice smiles with a joke or two? I'll take it every time. I've tried to like place... more than once. Everything has an off, not pleasant taste to it. They're putting too much of a particular spice in many dishes... it may be curry. Whatever it is, it's way too much and very off-putting. I'm done spending $60 a pop on meals that aren't enjoyed and basically thrown away. My bf and I order Fin's at least twice a week usually if not more because I'm addicted to their smoothies. I always do the expression session and am never disappointed. If you like pb&j try an expression session with strawberries/mixed berries/peanut butter (optional coconut) - so good! I also get their simple salad very often & the nachos are bomb with my fave green cholula. My bf love their chicken tacos and the mini fins. Prices are a lil high for some things but fair for others. They have a lot of options on the menu which is great, however I wasn't the biggest fan of the tacos I've gotten from there and I'm probably going to blame that on being used to more authentic tacos from when I lived in Los Angeles (street tacos and Baja tacos are plentiful there). Simply the best fast casual around these parts. Coastal cuisine that has something for everyone even if you're trying to watch carbs, calories or whatever else the latest diet trends are ordering. I was excited when I first saw the menu for Fins. They have a lot of options that you just don't see other places. My favorite item that I tried was the coconut sesame taco. The coconut shrimp is actually very good, and I could have eaten that on its own with some dipping sauce. The problem is, everything else was really not good. We also got a crab taco and a burrito that had crab in it, and both had to be thrown out. Really not fresh, and smelled horrible. My first bite out of the taco wasn't great, but after the second I had to wrap it back up and toss it. I wish I hadn't saved it for last, because I was desperate to get that taste out of my mouth. All that was eaten from the burrito was the cheese and enchilada sauce from the top of the burrito, and the avocado inside. The salsa felt a bit uninspired as well. read more

Just git back from another great dinner at Fins! They've added POKE` and it is incredible! Last night we had the with their delicious lentil soup. Tonight we had the bowls. Those bowls were enough to fuel your energy and keep your hunger in check. Ahi tuna with wasabi slaw, sliced ginger, magi chunks and sliced avacados. I really enjoyed the Cabo taco. It was a great deal and came with chips and a generous amount of salsa which I appreciated. I had to get a second. The atmosphere reminded me of a surf resort. We were back in NJ for a family visit and of course we made a stop down the shore. Originally from North Jersey, we later resided down the shore until moving to our present location where music and a lot of food go to die. It has been awhile, because of Covid, etc since we have been here, This location was a mainstay when we lived here (actually this branch's original location was down the road) and went probably 3X a month. Our younger daughter even worked here for awhile. I ordered a standard taco and a Cabo taco (after debating with myself whereas my wife ordered her fave , the veggie Quesadilla; they were massive. Of course, they were delicious as well. Prices have gone up but that is expected in this day;but not so much as to be obtrusive. The menu has gotten massive over the years so there is something for everyone. The guac and chips were fresh and tasty. The staff was friendly as ever and our name was till in the system.
