As a frequent flyer at Bubble In Paradise, it's easy to see that the last 6 months specifically they have been beyond slammed with the new Labubu craze. How lucky are we as members of the Denville community to have access to not only one of the more exciting "trends" for both adults and children but amazing bubble tea and food, too? I stopped by here on a hot Sunday afternoon for a nice drink since me and my boyfriend are often craving bubble tea or some kind of refreshing drink, but often don't know of any close by places. So we were excited to hear that a bubble tea place opened in this area since there isn't one close to this area. I got a mango slush with lychee jelly which I liked as I personally prefer slushes to bubble tea. Price was fair and similar to other bubble tea places I've been too There's a good flavor selection and variety of drinks available and they even had a section where you can buy have asian snacks like Pocky and Choco Pie. Service was super friendly, quick, and helpful. It's a super nice cafe, not too loud, not too quiet. It's a really pleasant atmosphere. They even have board games so you can have a snack/drink and hang around and play games. As a person who is working to be more sustainable and doing things like cutting back on plastic. Sometimes I will get black tea with oat milk and tapioca pearls. I have been going here for two years and I've never had an issue except the wait is sometimes longer because they're so busy. As an avid bubble tea drinker (I've tried bubble teas from 50+ places around the US), I can tell you that this is the best one - no one comes even close! The coffee milk tea is my favorite and since I live close by, most days I'll get two (even three on occasion). I've been here almost every day for the past year and the thing that separates Bubble in Paradise from everyone else is the consistency in their flavors. No matter who makes my coffee, it always has the same great flavor. At other places I find that the flavor often depends on who makes it, which is not the case here. Aside from the bubble tea, the food here is also amazing! The bulgogi bowls are my lunch time favorite and they have a ton of cool snacks in store as well. Their selection of Pokémon plushies is unmatched and they even helped me get my hands on an Arcanine plushie, which I couldn't find anywhere else. Now that's what I call great customer service! Rude employees that have absolutely no compassion walked in with my 4 year old son who was waiting for the rest of his family to get their tea, while waiting (which took some time) his sister asked to get a fork to eat a tiny donut from another store (which apparently is forbidden here) and was yelled at by store personnel saying NO OUTSIDE FOOD! My friend ordered Mango shaved iced, and another ordered the Taro Bubble Tea. I opted for the create your own shaved ice, and I didn't hold back. I chose Matcha (my favorite) with taro, chocolate pocky, and a scoop of match green tea iced cream. Wow we had no idea what to expect. The shaved ices were a huge generous portion, enough for 2-3 people (Not that I wanted to share) The ice was flavorful, and the taro was the perfect add on! There's even a sidewall stocked with some of my favorite asian candies and beverages if you're not happy with the dessert selection. What a nice touch! Unfortunately for me and my one friend, we can't have ice cream so she opted for a mango bubble tea while I ordered a nutella stuffed taiyaki. The tapioca bubbles had the perfect texture and consistency! And the tea was super refreshing. I was so impressed I double - actually triple - dipped into my friend's drink (sorry Amanda). From the massive variety of milk and fruit flavors to the different types of bubbles and jellies, it's gonna take years to try every amazing combination but it'll be worth it especially with the fact that you can turn any fruit flavor into a sparkling tea. There aren't many bubble tea spots with white peach as a flavor, so I was surprised and grateful they had it here. My sister asked if they could make hot bubble tea. They said they could accommodate for only milk tea, black tea, and taro. So she had taro. It was a kind gesture, but the taro tasted very watered down because they only used hot water to mix with the taro powder rather than with milk tea or any other tea. I felt that the bubbles were also overcooked because they were very soft that my sister couldn't tell if there were even bubbles in there. She was able to drink it without having to chew any bubbles. Lastly, I got the red bean taiyaki with strawberries and mochi. For $4+ I thought the meal would've been bigger. The fish was small and looked like half the size of an actual taiyaki because it had its mouth open. The taiyaki felt like it was made out of pancake batter and was thin, whereas the consistency should've been a bit thicker like a waffle. The red bean inside was also a bit disappointing because I thought it would be a paste but I was able to see most of the red beans whole. It was as if they boiled the red beans and mixed it a bit so that there was very little paste. This is one of the closest places that serves bubble tea that I haven't tried yet. As someone who is a fan of bubble tea this is one of the first places i tried out in Denville. This review will only be based off of the few different bubble tea drinks from here i gave a try. The first two were black milk tea and brown sugar milk tea. I found the drinks to be a little under whelming as i feel like the tapioca was lacking in flavor. I tried their jelly toppings too wasn't really for me. But the third one i tries oh man that one really made up for the tapioca. It was the caramel milk tea, with ice it became one of my more favorite tapioca drinks I've had. The store is cute inside and provides a nice area to chill and drink ur bubble tea. I got the thai tea milk tea and my alternative partner got the matcha milk tea. I'm pretty sure they poured my portion of the milk into hers because her matcha tea came out white ish and mine came out so orange. i didn't taste any milk in my Thai tea and it made my tongue turn orange lol.
