My wife and I love Bubble in Paradise! It has been the calm during the whirlwind of us having our first child. Whether it be just to sit down and have one of their delicious smoothies (highly recommend the super green or the studio m), eating one of their delicious taiyaki (which they saved me one of the first few weeks we had our son when my wife really just needed one way after they had stopped making them for the day, the staff saw the defeat on my face and made just two more), and now some of their delicious hot meals during the winter. Last week we tried catering with Bubble in Paradise to create a bubble tea stand at our graduation party and IT WAS A HIT! What I really like about this place is that you can order and customize your drinks to your preference and not get additionally charged for those customizations. I got a coffee caramel bubble tea and on the website you can select 1) what type of milk (includes oat milk, almond and other non-dairy options) 2) exactly how much sugar you want and 3) what add-in you want (boba or jelly) and even how much. Seems like they use the same powder other places use to flavor their milk teas, which may or may not be a positive depending on how you like your milk tea. Walked in and fell in love with the plushies then almost wept in joy as I've not seen Japanese KitKat in years! Not only that but they have a good selection of Japanese candy and snacks There are great taiyaki but not on Tuesday, and other snacks. Owner was a teeny bit grumpy but we did not know his kitchen closed early and Tuesday was not serving Taiyaki etc. it was our first time! They Also ran out of tapioca/boba and I'm sure he was tired of telling people over and over but it wasn't his customers fault that he made really really good bubble tea! I went to college where there were many different amazing bubble tea shops around, so it was exciting to see one in the area when I moved back home! The first time I went there I got a black milk tea. It was sub-par, but I wanted to give it another chance. When I went there for the second time, I decided to get their taro milk tea. That was a mistake. It was not good at all and I couldn't even finish it after a few sips. A really surprisingly good bubble tea spot in downtown Denville! I normally associate good bubble tea with some of the bigger chains, and I've had some pretty bad ones from random independent shops. This was a notable exception though. The vibe of the place is really nice, the tea tasted good, and the boba had that good good chewy texture. I got the regular milk tea, and the people I was with got the honeydew slush and some sort of taro shaved ice dessert. Both were good. The dessert was massive! The food is decent but I guess I can't order here anymore since there website never works for me to order online, (it's a tapmango issue I assume) and they won't take orders over the phone. I don't have time to order in person and then stand around for 20 minutes for my hot food to be done. Whomever answered the phone argued with me about how they're too busy to take phone orders when instead she could have just grabbed a pen and taken my order in 10 seconds or less. Whenever I go there to pick up food there is always someone standing around at the counter.. doesn't seem too busy to me. Why have a phone number listed if you're going to answer the phone and not take orders? Keep turning money away, sounds like a great business strategy. read more
