What a fun experience! Bought tickets during the Black Friday specials and am so glad I checked this out! Parking out front is pay by phone. When I asked how much time the experience is, I was told between 2-3 hours. But I was done in about 1 hour. My favorite was probably the ball pit. The place is fun! don't get me wrong. however I've been to two now. one in LA and one in DC. today was DC we were literally the first people in the building. the cleanliness was very bad. the carpets hadn't been vacuumed, cubbies had trash shoes jackets etc, then the rest rooms! my husband used the one next to the rubber ducky, swing part and no toilet paper! nothing! okay fine, we (myself, mother, and my 4yr old daughter) go to the bathroom on the way out?! think it's fine! I see a cleaner lady! think perfect she must've went in and cleaned it! NOPE ‍ first one we went into blood? or poop? was all over the toilet! okay! so I have to move my toddler back and tell her no! then the next 2! not any better toilet paper all over the seat! the floor it was disgusting. so we literally just left looked around the store part for a moment still felt grossed out left and immediately used hand sanitizer in the car. now! this being said I've closed places before so I don't blame the morning shift lady at all. but closing! are you serious? that was horrible! it was gross and honestly a healthy hazzard. I will say the one in La was so amazing that's what made us want to go back. I just doubt I will ever do it again in DC. read more

Um okay. I'll tell you this--they have great marketing for what the experience actually is. I seen the ads on social media, hyping it up to be fantastic, unique experience from beginning to end. BUBBLE Planet. But.... For something called "BUBBLE PLANET" I was surely disappointed in the lack of Bubbles in the "Bubble Room." It was the second to last room in the experience, where actual bubbles were being blown periodically. My 1.5 year old, LOVES Bubbles! And so it was briefly exciting when we went in the room and bubbles were blown for about 10 seconds. I figured we were going to be in a room FILLED with bubbles, that we had just in near the end of it when it dissipated. However, wrong. We waited for several minutes, and NOTHING. Even went to the next room (there there was a projector that could project your coloring page onto the screen) and returned, nothing. So, that was wierd. We purchased the "VIP" tickets, that was supposed to be including a VR experience....however, when we got to that place, the person running it said "No, it doesnt matter if you got the VIP. It's still $5." So, we declined and disappointed. For the price, of everything, yikes. Wanting to end with the positives though! The water world room was AMAZING! Very stellar, very fascinating. My family LOVED that room. It was a 360 degree experience. Also enjoyed the room with all of the balloons and the ballpit like rooms, though not for long. Question of hygiene? It didn't appear to be routinely cleaned after continual guests. read more

We visited this place with our kids and i was extremely disappointed. The first thing that caught my attention upon arrival was how dirty everything was. The mirrors were completely smudged and covered in fingerprints -- it honestly looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. What made it worse is that we arrived right at opening time, at 9:30 AM, and we were the very first guests. The entire place felt unclean and so dusty!!! There were balloon rooms with many popped balloons lying around, and it was obvious that no one was replacing or cleaning them. Dirt and debris were everywhere. Some attractions were not working at all, and the rooms themselves were very, very small. Overall, the place looked neglected, poorly maintained, and unhygienic -- not something you expect, especially in a venue designed for children. We went with two adults and four kids and spent almost $200. Unfortunately, it felt like a complete waste of money. I would never come back here and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Took our 4 month old here and had fun. I heard that if you buy tickets there you don't incur the additional fees getting them off of fever. There's military and student discount so take advantage of that for your tickets. The location is where the Van Gogh exhibit use to be. Although there is a parking lot you must pay for it. We went on a Saturday a little before lunch time and surprisingly it wasn't super busy. We were able to bring in our stroller (there's spots for you to park it at all the rooms). I think you could go without the stroller because I don't believe you would spend more than an hour here. And since there's a few interactive rooms the stroller serves no purpose. Our child lasted the full exhibit and took well to all the rooms. There are bathrooms but my husband told me it was pretty icky so beware. The staff was very nice and overall I thought it was a fun place to take your family. read more

It honestly was dirty and overall not worth its price point. It is mainly filled with children, so I feel like that gives them more of a reason to clean often, as kids often put things in their mouth. I'm not a child and did not have a child with me when I went with my friends and I really enjoyed it as an adult. We did try to select a time where there was less children and it was great! There were still a lot of people but it was such a fun photo op experience with all these fun bubble themed rooms. The activities, like coloring and playing a quick game is geared for little kids. But loved being surprised by what was in the next room! The bubble pit was prob my favorite! read more

Went with my sister and daughter. Cool themed rooms for pictures, Fun place for a date night. Or to bring the kids for some fun pictures. Cotton candy machine at the end is a nice touch for the kids but it takes forever. That was $10 dollar. The room that makes bubbles wasn't working properly. So we didn't really get to see bubbles. Ironic, being as though this place is called bubble planet. Quick fun thing to do. Takes about 30-45 minutes to walk through. But you are able to spend some time in each room. We had fun. Also something to note, They have a parking Lot which is super convenient (being as though DC parking sucks!) parking for the hour is 5 dollars. read more

We visited on a Sunday morning and pre purchased our tickets online. We are a family of 4 so it was around $100 plus. They have a designated parking lot that you have to pay for. When we arrived we had to stand in a queue even thought we pre- purchased the tickets. ( so not sure the point of pre buying them). When I asked the lady why we had to stand in a line even though we had tickets - she said " we only have one person working the front". Not sure if I liked that answer considering she was standing there and could let people in. Anyway- after I realized she would rather burn her eyes out than speak to me a paying customer I just let it go and proceeded to stand in a line with small children who have absolutely no patience. Moving on to the actual exhibits - Once inside there are rooms which are themed differently. There is a light room that projects sea creatures on the floor , there is a huge room where you punch pink balloons and it's so congested that I actually felt about claustrophobic. My youngest didn't enjoy it as she couldn't see where I was and I think it's a bit scary for the young kids. Moving on to the "insta" Rooms - yeah they fine for pics but actually not. The lighting is so poor that taking pics just doesn't come out great. At this point you find the toilets - which are unisex. The toilets are absolutely disgusting - I recommend holding it. Imagine only like two bathrooms for everyone that goes there and no one is cleaning it. Just thinking bout it makes me ill. Moving on to the " main" attraction- my kids enjoyed this one because it's literally a massive swimming pool filled with balls. Apart from the last working there screaming at kids to not jump in the pool, to not touch the blow up arms or he'd or " take your shoes off". I saw a young girl run at full speed and jump in the pool with shoes on.... Gosh the lady that worked there almost malfunctioned. Anyway- I mean it was fine just really shitty that kids joys were being trampled on by the people that work there. They are just so rude and unfriendly. It takes a special kind of nasty to be mean to kids having so much fun. Then it was the end and there is a toy shop at the exit. So in order to avoid that we just went back through and exited at the entrance. Yes you can go and back and forth to the attractions - you would have to make it worth your while. If you just walked though once you would be done in like 30 minutes or less. Unfortunately not only was it a disappointment , the walkways are all carpeted which means the place smells really bad and feels very very dirty. Sadly the place is not run well and is not kept very clean or up to the standard it's charging people. read more

For somebody eager to see what your place was like....it sure left an abrasive taste in my mouth. changes should always be circumstantial. not thank you for your 50 bucks and kick rocks with a smile. smh. not a good first impression. if not for nothing, because it was my first time, should have been a courtesy change. even if one time and one time only. always try to accommodate the people that keep you afloat. that could be parties and everything missed because of a rigid interaction. read more

Please save yourself the drive. It's horribly managed. It was dirty and smelled like feet and marijuana. Two of the exhibits were down and one wasn't fully functional. We went through the entire experience in 10 minutes. The children seemed to enjoy it but compared to Artechouse, or Meowulf this was a fail. read more

We visited Bubble Planet during a family trip and traveled from another state to experience it. At first, everything seemed fine and the environment itself was fun for kids. However, our experience changed when we got to the VR section. I approached a staff member to ask how the VR area worked and how we could enter. The employee had headphones on and seemed irritated when I tried to ask a simple question. The interaction quickly became uncomfortable and unprofessional. As parents visiting with our child, we expect basic courtesy when asking staff for help, especially in a place designed for families. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled made the experience disappointing for us. I hope management looks into how staff interact with guests so other families don't have a similar experience. read more

Bubble Planet was nice! We paid for two adults and two children. Kids under 3 are free. They had a variety of rooms fun to play as well as for cool photo ops. We paid on line so we were able to walk right up scan the code and were free to walk in. Service was smooth for this process. The price was good and we stayed about an hour and a half. We loved all the rooms especially the giant bubble bath, the optical illusion, the rubber duck bath and the room with the pink balloons. Unfortunately the giant bubble photo op was not available. Also the room which should have had the silver balloons was empty with only one balloon available so that was a bummer as well. Overall the kids had fun. 4 stars! read more

I came here this Tuesday morning to try to get more information about thenplace and I was rudely accosted by the receptionist working behind the counter. She had a severe bad attitude when I tried to ask if they had a website or brochure. I approached this emplyee very respectfully and as a middle-aged prpfessional I was shocked about the disrespect that I received. All I wanted to know is if this destination is a museum or if it's some type of play area for kids, which would have been great for my family and I. I was excited to attend this art exhibit based on the photos & website, however, the entire place is in a state of disrepair and had a severe lack of cleanliness. The exhibits are in bad shape, and the normal decorum and behavior you'd expect of a place like this is not followed. Running children, screaming babies, every mirror covered in dirt and fingerprints. Every carpet is filthy, and it was impossible to enjoy the art due to the state it was in. It is a great place for kids and was fun, but not the type of place to go to twice. The balloon room and ball pit were fun but some of the balloons and balls were dirty or had gum on them. The picture room was cute and had various rooms with themes for pictures with a big bubble you could lean in and a bathtub full of rubber ducks. At the end there was a game room with coloring books where you could screen shot and it would come alive on this animated video on the wall which was fun. Like I said it's is a good place for kids but more of a one time around kind of activity. They should also look through some of the balloons and balls from the pit at the end of the day and pop the dirty ones and make new ones. Upon arrival, the electricity was out in 2 rooms - the rooms filled with big pink balloons and a room that had an oversized tub filled with rubber duckies to take a photo in that were both widely most favored to walk through in the read reviews, down for the count. So, that was very disappointing when coming there to celebrate my baby's 3rd birthday along with family there. The remaining rooms - 1 room that had 5 deflated aluminum balloons that everyone bypassed -- it sucked. Another room you walked through that had white lights in a very short walk thru maze -- very cool but short. Then the great ballpit that was filled with balls was cool. We had to take turns holding my toddler as they came way over her head but still cool for my older daughter who's 10 yrs old enjoyed along with her friend. There was a room for smaller children to make drawings and what we found another toddler sized ball pit that would had been perfect to see before the huge ball pit instead of towards the end outside another room. There was a crappy bubbles room where we had to manually push this button we found with our flashlight after watching an employee we had to call over for the bubbles to continue to blow out. It blew out and we timed for only 15 seconds then another time for 32 seconds and stopped (see pics)....The VR room was alright and very relaxing after the disappointment in traveling an hour away to come to the city and not getting the full experience. They do not refund but permit you to use tickets for another time with the same amount of tickets purchased another day. We're not coming back though. Wouldn't recommend. read more

My Son Turns 8 tomorrow. So we came to the Museum on a week day. Got a discount and had a ball. I even brought my 16 year old daughter. And she loved taking photos of course. We had an amazing time. It was really fun me and my girlfriend went and had a good time it was nice. The vibes are nice people are nice the environment is nice. A little pricey too adult tickets were $76.10 plus VR was another $10.00. Kids tickets are a bit cheaper. Very amazing for kids and even young adults if they are willing to have some fun. VR is fun towards the end as long as you have a good attention span and want to chill for a little. I don't think many smaller kids would enjoy the VR. Overall it was great and fun. Make sure to go slow through the thing and not rush. I'm not sure about parking but the metro is less than 10 minute walk away. Apparently if you buy the tickets there it's a bit cheaper too because there's no fees like fever has. Im very unhappy with the support I received. I bought 8 tickets and got stuck in a snowstorm on the way to our appt. I called to move my reservation up 2 hours because of the traffic and even offered to upgrade my tickets to flex and noone would accommodate me.
