Okay, so my my large hot strawberry tea with boba cost $5.24. Kinda expensive to start off with right? After I pay and they start making the tea I'm told that no, you can't actually have tapioca boba in your hot tea, which cost me an extra 55 cents. So I politely ask: "could I please get the money back for the boba that you didn't put in my tea?" And get this: They tell me no, they don't offer "refunds." Excuse me, that's not a refund. I paid for my order under the impression I would get everything included in said order. So I engage the employee in a polite counter argument, stating this point. But, they refused to give me my literal 55 cents back, which they essentially stole (not to mention only filling my cup about 4/5 of the way). Would you pay full price for a 4/5 slice of your hamburger without the lettuce, tomato, and ketchup you paid extra for? What kind of stingy establishment is this? The Bubble Tea is amazing! The customer service is severely lacking. I have been into this location so many times and more times than not, I am not greeted. When I tell them my order, why must they be rude? I'm not sure what the issue is but I know this is not targeted only to me. If the clerk's/cashier's do not like their job please find another job. I love Bubble Tea. I love the variety of flavors they have. I've been to china town where they serve bubble tea. They didn't have the variety they do here. One thing I really like and crave a lot is the chicken. I don't know how they cook it but it's not like anything I have tasted. It comes with different levels of spicy to make sure you are aware. I really want to love the bubble tea here. Today was my 5th visit over the span of a few months. Each time I try a different flavor of bubble tea, but I'm left disappointed consistently. Today, however, was my worst experience, and I won't be going back. I thought I'd go with a Jasmine Green Milk Tea. The tea was watery, very little milk, with very little Jasmine tea flavor--a bottle of Honestea Jasmine @ 1.79 from Harris Teeter has a better brew tea flavor. The boba tapioca pearls, while some tasted fine and had a nice consistency, I got a hard one, and then I got a rancid one that was so hard it was nearly impossible to chew and tasted bitter/burned and really funky. As I was driving, I had to find a kleenex to spit it out in because it was inedible. After that, I couldn't drink the rest of the tea and I'm still left with this gross bitter flavor in my mouth. In the past, the fruity flavors, like Mango, have been better if you are going to put down 5 bucks on a drink... for that money, I'll find better options--Grilled Ginger on Yadkin has a pretty good Thai Tea with boba. Another complaint I have is that the teas are premixed with sweetener. Why not brew the tea and let the customer choose how sweet they want their tea? This is something that I loved about previous bubble tea places in other states. I prefer less sugar, more tea flavor. The staff here is always pretty friendly, but if you sit and hang out for long, you will smell like fried food. My suggestion is ditch the fried snacks and focus on the art of making tea. read more

Service was slow for 2 drinks, you had to pay extra for boba in the bubble tea and my drink was watery. For almost $10, I'll have to pass on a repeat visit to get my next fix. I come to Fayetteville annually from Seattle to visit family and was happy to find a bubble tea shop had finally popped up in this Army town. There's a good amount in Seattle and I end up getting withdrawals while I am here. The price was a little higher than I expected. For a small slushy with boba it cost $4.90 with tax. Not sure what the large would be but the small was big enough for me. I thought the bubble tea was pretty good but could use more sugar, and the tapioca balls were still a little frozen. The service was nice and of course it takes some time to make a slushy so I wasn't phased by the wait. I liked that there were cards, games and some manga available to pass the time. Basically this is the only bubble tea place in the area so you can't be too picky but maybe everyone would benefit from a little competition. read more

Not sure how this place still gets fours stars. I haven't been here for a while because my last experience wasn't great. I decided to give them another shot. BIG mistake. HUGE!!! I ordered hot lavender milk tea with boba and sweet potato fries. The only flavor my tea had was sweet and more sweet even though I had asked them to make it less sweet. The sweet potato fries were greasy and soggy. It was way under cooked and some of them even tasted raw. It was another huge disappointment. Just because you blast some Chinese music in the store doesn't make your tea more Chinese. I will advise anyone who wants decent boba tea stay away from this joint. I'm so glad I can finally get bubble tea in this town! The drinks I've had so far (some slushes and a tea, all with boba) have been really good. My only complaint is that I was in there one day and one person was making orders for the people in front of me and the other person was just talking to the people in front of me, and I had to wait a bit before anyone even acknowledged my presence. read more

Excellent bubble tea selection. My go to drink is a strawberry Pina colada snow smoothie with boba pearls. I always get mine to go, but they do have a small sitting area as well as a selection of fried snacks you can order from. I recently introduced a friend to her first bubble tea experience here and she loved it! The service is always friendly and I have yet to have a drink here I didn't like. read more

I am relatively new to Bubble Tea in general having had it only a few times before, each time in a different location. This bubble tea is by far the best I have had to date. The staff was very helpful in explaining the varieties to me and being patient when I agonized over what to choose. As is the norm for me I am generally drawn to floral flavors so I went with the Rose milk tea with the Lychee boba. It was absolutely incredible! I am looking forward to returning and trying some different flavors such as the Honey Dew :) read more

The one at Westwood is great. I would give it 5 stars. The one at the mall sucks and I won't ever go there again. They made the wrong drink and refused to make it right. $5 down the drain and at least 4 lost customers who won't ever visit again. Stick with Westwood and don't go to the mall one! read more

Extremely excited about having a bubble tea in Fayetteville. But haven't had a chance to try it. The last 2 times I have been in the wait time has been so long, I had to turn around and leave before ordering. The first time, there were 2 people at the counter and 2 in line - but the wait time was greater than 20 min (? - Not sure what is taking so long?). The second time (today) I came in and the wait time was again 15 min - the Boba was out and new stuff not cooked yet. Ok -the counter staff was extremely sweet, so that has earned them one more try. But the consistent disappointment isn't convincing me to give them my business. If they could guarantee my drink in 10 min or less, I would be there at least bi-weekly. We'll see how they do at my next visit. read more

Love their fresh Boba, friendly staff, and awesome fried popcorn chicken. Their Boba is fresher than the other restaurants that offer the same dish, so the tapioca doesn't ever get soft. If you have not tried Boba before, definitely start with the taro snow bubble. It's on the sweet side and definitely a must. If you've tried it before and want something different try their almond jasmine milk tea; it's a little plain but refreshing. The drink didnt even taste like tea but more like mango syrup.. it was so sweet.. the spicy popcorn was actually not bad, very spicy but good. I would come back for the popcorn chicken. I love bubble tea express. Their drinks do not taste like they used cheap flavors. My favorite is the honey dew milk tea with rainbow jelly. The boba is good as well. The taro milk tea is also delicious. You can even ask them to cut some of the sugar and the drink still taste great. Usually when I go there I spend a little time in the restaurant playing games with my children. There are lots of little puzzles and games that are fun for kids. Also there are some chairs outside that are really nice to sit in in the spring or fall. read more

My wife and I lived in Greenville, SC for 4 years and they had a fantastic tea bar, so I was excited to learn about Bubble Tea Express. The teas are well made. I love their fusion black teas and some of the milk teas. I will say that the interior could use some touch up, last time I was there the place looked a little cluttered and a slight dusty.
