Pretty cookie cutter sugar tea & snack shop indistinguishable from dozens of others around town. Black cream tea was pretty nasty, with no tea flavor and too much artificial creamer taste. Tapioca was old and mushy, but I don't blame them since they don't seem to get many customers. The creamer-less honey oolong tea I tried was much better and had a strong yet smooth taste. Not bad for bottom of the barrel tea dust from wholesale. But the honey made it much sweeter than usual, so I'd go for at least 50% sugar. read more

Ordered milk tea & strawberry watermelon smoothie (no boba). The drinks were fine. However, I noticed they were charging a different price for the smoothie when ringing it up vs what is listed on the menu & on the sign as well. I pointed this out to the cashier & he seemed pretty clueless. His only answer was "that's what the register is ringing up & are you ok with paying higher price?" Uh not really but I didn't have the patience to continue to go back & forth with him. Clearly if the higher price is correct, then correct your signage. I also checked the website which had same price as the menus at the store which is the lower price. Not that serious but aggravating. For customer service purposes, they should honor what they advertise not some made up price. read more

Okay .. i got to this place a lot many times and until a few days back my review was hanging on the 3star mark . They have the regular fare as any of their contemporaries and at par with most of their competition in quality . They have this complimentary sinker deals for your yelp checkins but make sure you avail that before you order your drink . This place is mostly Korean run and they are pretty much curt in conversations but a few days back I saw this new American guy in here . A pleasant talker and pretty much knowledgeable about what goes into the drinks . I come here often for any kind of lemon infused tea drinks for hangover cure . On that day if was having a slightly upset stomach and was looking for anything with ginger that can soothe . This guy went over the usual in suggesting certain things that might help . It was not generic and was pretty much helpful . In the end as per what he said I went with the honey ginger black tea with some wheat grass in it . And it was exactly what I needed . It just cured the stuffy feeling i was having since morning in a jiffy. The wheat grass was great . Full star for a rare gesture of customer service on a rare day . Hence my review update . This place tries to rip off people just wanting one drink by having a minimum card charge of $5. This is against card agreements to have a minimum charge requirement. Had to make a good purchase when all I wanted was a drink for myself. The drink was alright but not worth the extra I ended up paying. read more

This is a good place if you want to meet up with people since it's not loud (friends, new date, coworkers, study buddy). The option to select your sugar level is great! Super slow service. The lady was nice but it Took over 30 minutes to get our drinks. We ordered 6 drinks and everyone liked their drinks except for me. I tried the coconut cream tea and it was not good at all. It was not very cold even though it had some ice. Tasted like milk with coconut flavoring and very bland in taste. Not good at all. I discovered Bubble Tea House earlier this week, and have literally been there every day since! Went there looking for watermelon cream tea, which is not on the menu, but they kindly obliged, and it was the bomb! The next day, I got the coconut cream tea with baby tapioca. The baby tapioca balls are so cute and fun!! I think I officially like them more than the regular tapioca. I had never seen them before, so wasn't quite sure how baby they were. They're pretty tiny, so you can suck up a mouth full of them and not feel like you're choking. (Surely, I am not the only one who fears death by tapioca balls, right?) Ooops, almost got off topic. The coconut cream tea is DELICIOUS!!!!! I got it with the regular amount of sugar, and it is deliciously sweet, and very very flavorful! It's really absolutely delicious. So delicious, that I ordered TWO of them the next day!! Double fisting bubble tea. Boom. Today, I decided that I love this place so much, that I will take a recommendation from the staff. Lychee+watermelon (it happened to be the same girl working there from my first visit, and she remembered my love for watermelon! Wow!) The flavor was really great and refreshing. The place is small, in a cozy way. I have noticed that it is VERY clean! You will not find trash or food on the floors or tables. It has nice comfortable couches and funky orange chairs. The first time I visited, there was a group of women chilling on the couch, and one time a man in the back on a couch that I had never even noticed before. Other than that, it has been empty. I second Jen D.'s plea, please don't go out of business!!! Ordered a jasmine milk tea and the BF got a Japanese matcha milk tea. Both drinks were pretty tasty, not too sweet and boba nice and chewy. We also ordered their popcorn chicken. The popcorn chicken: at first it was really good, but as time went on every bite became almost grueling to swallow. Very strange. Possible the crime of too much MSG? Good tapioca place. Friendly staff. Quiet place. They offer popping tapioca which is nice (only a few places offer this). It's a teahouse, much like any other teahouse with boba. My pet peeve is that the minimum to pay on your card is $5 but none of the drinks on the menu are $5 and no I don't want any chips. The owner himself made customers wait while he took care of business issues involving the register, during business hours. We had to wait just to pay for our items. I was charged almost $1 more for my beverage than the menu price listed. The explanation was the addition of tapioca however the photograph of my drink choice had tapioca in the bottom. I explained to the owner that my perspective as a consumer (and business owner) was that the price was based on the drink photographed. He was very rude and condescending with me, questioning MY business. The menu choices are confusing and overwhelming. I've had these drinks all over the city and never encountered this much confusion. The rudeness of the owner will keep me from coming back. Plenty of other tea houses in the area. The cashier did not speak much English but she helped me help her and I helped her to help me and everything was a pleasure. I only ordered a cream tea (basically a pearl milk tea) and I have to say it's a very solid bubble tea place that's not as far as Chinatown. I like that you can choose your desired level of sweetness for your drink - from 0% to 100%. Husband had the milk tea with tapioca, and I had the mango smoothie with tapioca - both drinks cost about $9. I have no problem paying money for a well prepared drink, but both of our drinks were far from it. The tapioca was WAY overcooked. This place sucked. I pretty much got sugar water with a hint of taro flavor. The drink wasn't even ice cold. It was barely above room temperature. I'm not bashing to be mean but there wasn't anyone in there so I'm assuming that this is the normal standard of beverage for this place. If that's the case there are so many other places that are better. I would drive a little further and go to bellaire where there is a huge variety of stores and all are very fresh. I've been getting my smoothies with tapioca from here almost everyday (yes, everyday!!) For About A week, I'm Absolutely IN love With their Drinks! Especially the strawberry black tea! I made the mistake of trying out Kims teahouse, and was completely disappointed! My tea was way too sweet/sour, my tapioca was a VERY gummy texture, and my the time I got home (10 mins away) my smoothie was already seperating! :( I will never stray away from Bubble Tea House again! I used to like this place but today was just horrible. First of all, they did not get my order right. I double checked with the lady more than twice but she still did not make my drinks correctly. Secondly, while I was waiting on my order, I felt that the employees were looking at me and giggling but I did not care. But I noticed that the chair that I was sitting on was wet and it got my pants wet.
