Potbelly's been pretty solid the two times I've been here so far. Everything has been fairly tasty and they do have interesting items. Filling wise, I feel it's a bit similar to Subway's in terms of quantity. But they do have some interesting sandwiches and I'm a fan of their hot peppers. I also like their thin, but long sliced pickles, although wish I can order it on the side in the app so it doesn't make everything so soggy. I've only been to this location once, but, so far so good! I got some sort of barbecue chicken sandwich, with a tangy/semi-spicy sauce, and some barbecue chips, of course! I have been eating potbelly's for years, It's always my go to place it's always a good spot to go to and it never does me wrong. I have been going to this location for almost a year now and i'm there once to twice a week getting food and lately i've been noticing they are adding to much meat to it and not toasting it long enough. By the time they make it and I eat it (still warm btw) the bread is soggy and it's absolutely disgusting. I have bad texture issues which is why potbelly's is always a go to and lately I can't even finish my sandwich because the bread is so unbelievably soggy. I've been getting a skinny and it has the same amount of meat that an original does even tho it's half the size. I'm just very disappointed with the food lately and the lady that gave me my food today with the green hair was also very rude and you could tell she didn't wanna be there. Horrible service. Never going potbelly's again. After a long day of work, I just wanted some food. Ordered my food, when I'm about to pay the guy tells me I can't pay cause I have a $50. I've paid a many locations with that before. Dudes the worst, he already had the sandwich ready. I've been at work all day no lunch and finally gonna get my food and he pulls that. I used to go to potbelly a lot in high school. Their sandwiches have always been good, and I love their shakes too- creamy, tasty, and just the right consistency + they put a cute lil shortbread cookie on the top. Ordering is very simple. Just choose a sandwich and customize the toppings, which you can modify to light, regular, or extra. I got the "Italian" and "a wreck", making sure to add hot peppers to both!! The hot peppers really enhance the flavor. I thought both sandwiches were yummy, but my personal preference is italian. I will say the sandwiches were on the drier and blander side and could definitely use more sauce. Even with the oil and mayo, it still seemed to be lacking something. Very filling and reasonably priced compared to other sandwich shops. Can't necessarily comment on the service since I ordered online, but when I regularly went in the past, the employees were always friendly and had an upbeat attitude. I come to this location weekly and today took me by surprise. I was truly disappointed. I came in, there was no line, I went directly to the cash register to order soup and salad. A heavy set white man with a brown beard, unsure of his name (maybe Kelsey) didn't take the time to acknowledge me or take my order. I stood at the register for almost five minutes without one single word or any acknowledgement before just deciding to leave. These actions were unwarranted and should be addressed by management. At the very least all customers should be acknowledged or greeted while standing directly in front of an employee. If you're unable to simply communicate that to the only customer in line please find another job. The customer service today was very poor. So when you seemed heading to a Potbellys just know that I am coming for soup and an occasional cookie- lemon cheesecake and fudge brownie. Yum so good....the chips and the cookie. Thelovely soups they had is vegetable soup chock full of veggies, cream and broccoli that is thick and creamy and has carrots in it, chicken pot pie that has pieces of pot pie on it....it's actually a chicken pot pie if you want to be technical but the broth is not that thick. The chicken pot pie soup has chicken, celery, carrots, and onions. It may have more ingredients than that. Service (1/5) I ordered my sandwich online for 3:30 pickup and I got to the place at 4:45 so I expected my order to be ready. When I got there they were fixing furniture or something so I had to walk around them and when I got to the pick up register I was waiting there awkwardly wondering if any of the guys that were busy fixing furniture was going to tend to me. One of the noticed me and I told him I was picking up an order and he then told me that my order "just came in." Umm.. okay I am pretty sure it was for 3:30 pickup but whatever. I had to wait another 6 minutes for my order. After a few people mention and suggest to try this place, my wife and I finally did. We stopped on way home from work, they close at 9pm and we get there at 8pm on a Friday night. Only good thing to come from this shutdown is I re-discovered Potbelly's. This location in particular as I had tried & never had the full experience. Example, I was late picking up my to-go order. My fault I knew what to expect with a chicken salad sandwich. Well, they insisted it would only be a moment to remake the sandwich & it would be worth it. Guess what? They were spot on. Great location just of I-10 in Katy just off greenhouse rd. I stopped by and ordered their large Italian sub with the works, minus peppers. It was fresh and prepared quickly. I usually get the wreck sandwich , but changed it up. The place is new, but the staff was on their game and provided great service. Place has tons of seating, half of which is outside and in cool times is great, but I'm not sitting here in July . With the location on the way in to H town, this will be a great option for picking up sandwiches for customers too. They will definitely see me back at this PB and soon I think. Very greasy food on the go, if you are in to that sort of stuff. There is nothing magical about being a fatty, unless making towers of hotdogs disappear is a career. And the food here is something that will make your pants tighter over time, possible heart disease, lack of motivation to exercise. But it tastes fantastic! The main reason I'm writing this review is to let people know who are unfamiliar with potbelly just how good it is. This place compared to many others drives people away due to the fact that it is a chain. Chain sandwich places have the stereotype to be something like subway "aka low quality". Potbelly however, breaks this trend. Potbelly's ingredients are high quality and fresh. They give you good quantities for pretty good prices and really put care into making the sand which.
