Creamery Teahouse is located in an area of Sugar Land that is not yet overrun with boba shops. While being a very solid option, the lack of competition in the immediate area has shown some of its affects as this is not my favorite boba shop. My go to drink here is the thai green milk tea. The first time I ordered it I found it to be way too sweet. These days, I will always order the drink at 25 or 50% sweetness. I have tried a few other drinks as well and can not say that they really stick out in my mind compared to other boba shops in town. One of the items that I would order during my visits was the Taiwanese style fried chicken nuggets. I always found that the food options here to be quite good, but during our most recent visit they had installed another fried chicken display. We were able to sample the chicken, that seemed like it was a separate vendor, and I did not like it (to be fair, it was not fried fresh). While I hope that Creamery Teahouse continues to do well, I find it difficult to recommend. The staff is always well informed, kind, and very helpful. The drinks come out rather quickly and there is a ton of seating and space inside. All things considered, the drinks are not up to par especially when compared to all of the boba shops in Sugar Land and Houston. I would rather just drive a tad further to get a drink that I prefer a bit more. read more

I was disappointed to see that the chicken nuggets aren't the previous Taiwanese style chicken nuggets they used to have. I didn't realize they had new owners and now the nuggets are completely different. For what the cost was I really could've gotten a whole chicken meal at Raising Canes and gotten more for my money. I paid $9.50 for ten piece nuggets by themselves and the batter was as hard as a rock. I don't plan to come back. For a boba shop they should have kept their old food menu- not make it into a boba shop with what's more like an Americanized fried chicken. It's the oddest combination. read more

I want to start by saying how friendly and informative the staff were. They explained their recommendations for specific drink choices and even told me about the offer for new customers receiving $2 off on their next visit. The inside was very large, with adequate seating. I did notice there were even some games for customers to play. I ordered the Taro milk tea with tapioca. The flavor was more on the subtle side and it was a little warmer than I would like. If I had to suggest anything, it would be adding more flavor and ice to the drink. Came in 30 minutes before closing, so the place was very quiet and empty. Got my mango milk tea in literally 2 minutes. The tea house is very spacious and great for studying. The service was quick and tea potion for $7+ is so worth. Not OMG you couldn't fix the problem yourself, but I wish they would pre-shaken my drink for me. It would have been nice if the coldness of the ice was evenly distributed before I took my first sip. They used the straw lid and not the plastic seal for the large, so don't shake. Their new addition of the Halal Krispy Krunchy Fried Chicken is brilliant. Freshly made with great taste. We love their Brown Sugar Milk Tea and Mango Smoothie. All their staffs are very attentive and helpful. Nice clean area to seat with some great options of board games too. That's kind of very rare in any tea shop. You could taste the tea and the boba was a good consistency, but it wasn't anything special. The regular size was $4.16, and an additional $0.60 for the boba, coming out to about $5 per drink. My family and I saw this place when we swung by HEB for some Christmas groceries and decided to swing by. We love the teahouses throughout Chinatown. The store is much bigger than the storefront initially looks like. There's a deep customer area with tables, board games, and a surprisingly expansive menu of drink options. My wife went with the rose tea, her sister opted for Thai Tea, and I went for the Jasmine Cream Tea. We all had the same impression-- good and very convenient for the area, but not quite as good as what we'd been able to get at some of our Chinatown favorites. Their large is really large. I was curious, and it's a little more than 24 oz. They don't fill to the top if you get no ice, but you can pay 30 cents to fill to the top. They also have baby tapioca and a lot of other toppings. No red bean like their online menu says though. It was a Friday, and they only had one person working - taking orders, making drinks and food. There are many friendly workers who want you to have the best experience at the location, and want you to be satisfied with your order. They're very kind and patient. I came in pretty early so they weren't ready with the boba, but one of the workers suggested lychee jelly and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm a huge sweet tooth, but I also can't consume that much sugar or else I'll feel weird. 25% sugar in my drink was still pretty sweet, just a little sweeter than I'd expected, but it wasn't overwhelming for me. The milk tea was surprisingly good. When I drink milk tea's at other locations, sometimes I get this weird throat feeling after drinking about half of the drink. However, the milk tea here didn't make me feel like that at all so that was a relief! It was super creamy and I was still able to taste the tea in it. Overall, it was pretty yummy! My friend ordered the Avocado Smoothie with Almond Milk. She let me try some of hers and I was also pleasantly surprised. The blend of the avocado and the creaminess of the almond milk actually worked out surprisingly well! The fries and popcorn chicken were delicious! The fries were crispy and stayed that way throughout my friend and I's long conversation. They didn't turn soggy or cold too fast, so the crispness was pretty impressive. In addition, their popcorn chicken was very juicy and tender, it tasted really good! I would HIGHLY recommend. I feel like they give you the perfect amount at a pretty good price. I was happy that they had some self-serving sauces. In the picture I took, they had a good variety of sauces you can choose from to dip your food in. That way, you don't have to feel awkward to ask anyone if you can try all of them, cause we'll... they're there! My personal favorite was the spicy mayo. It had a pretty good kick in it. Next to the sauces were some water cups and a filter, so it was nice to see that there is water available to you if you feel like you need to hydrate with something other than tea! Honestly, the only reason this place gets a 4 star is because I love their pandaned artichoke drink. Other than that, most of their other drinks are a big miss for me and taste very artificial and sweet. Also, the interior design and the design of the menu really peeve me because it all just looks so tacky :(. But, ignoring all of this, I really like the pandaned artichoke, especially because its so difficult for me to find anywhere else. My other friend said his Vietnamese coffee was good though! Restrooms (separate men's and women's single restrooms) were clean and reserved for customers only. My mother said "regular thai tea" to correct it and he put in green thai tea instead. Then as we waited and got the drinks. We saw that it was green thai tea. We nicely apologized and said that we wanted thai tea. Then the cashier got aggressive and said that he repeated our order and got very angry at me to blame me. The jasmine milk tea is really good here. You can smell and taste the jasmine. Definitely recommend this drink here. I also ordered the lobster bite (which tastes more like shrimp)(about 3 on a stick). It was a good snack but it's not my favorite. The chicken and rice was really good although they put a few popcorn chicken (which was good) and bits of the grilled chicken (which was a bit hard) on top. The rice was super good although it wasn't fresh fresh, but I hope to get this again, provided that there isn't any pork in it. The popcorn chicken was ok, though not as spicy as I would like. Only giving 3/5 stars because they only gave me 4 pieces of popcorn chicken on their fried chicken rice, and in the dish itself, I would not recommend at all. You could easily tell it was microwaved, and not only there were only 4 sad pieces of fried chicken, but this frozen-Tyson kind of "grilled" chicken were randomly there too within the dish.
