Me and my friends usually stop by and drink bubble tea and their bubble tea is cheap and its a great thing they are open till later. Sometimes the bubble tea arent as good as other days especially the pearls but a great place to get bubble tea if you are hungry or looking for a snack. The workers here are sweet especially if you come consistently and they are hard workers! This place is such a nice place with a great menu selection on the wall and there are a lot of seatings. This is my go to place if it's passed 11pm. Their bbt is always consistent and their pearls are chewy. Whenever we come here, my bf and I always get 3 drinks, one each and one to share. We usually get a black tea and a milk tea to share. I love gong Chas lychee oolong so I opted for their lychee red tea with coconut and jelly, half sweet, light ice. It was good and I ordered it again the other times, but I still prefer gong Chas lychee oolong. Their tea is stronger. Milky earl grey with grass jelly and pearls. Last time I visited this place was almost 2 decades ago; and it did not disappoint. I've had the traditional taro every time I go for bubble tea and Bubble World bubble tea is the best by far. I also had my sweet tofu dessert bubble tea in 100% sugar level and satisfied the cravings. read more

Stopped in for bubble tea after a post racket ball work out. We ordered first and slowly a rush came behind us. I had a milk tea slush because there are very few bubble tea places that make this and make it well. Bubble tea almost always nails it! My friend got the Okinawa slush with pearls. It ended up not being slush, and for some reason Okinawa Slush is Pudding Slush. It was suuuuuuuper sweet but also really tasty. I'd recommend this one half sweet. To top it all off, we got a condensed milk toast which brings back fond memories of my teenage years hanging out at bubble tea joins and getting this super simple tasty treat. The bread was fluffy and buttery and we chowed it down within 90 seconds. If you're craving a "staple" Vancouver bubble tea joint, you can't go wrong with bubble tea. Came by on a Thursday late night craving with a groups of friends. Haven't been to a Bubble Works in years. Good location and ample seating inside. Quiet around 11:00 pm but it got busier as more people came in for take out. They participate in the skip the dishes so that's a plus if you're loookijn for delivery. There's not many bubble tea places open late in Vanc. Tried the Japanese green milk tea with bubbles with 30% sugar. Tasted fine but as you get to the bottom of the drink you could really taste the coffee mate powder that was used. Bubbles were decent but not soft / fresh batch. Others in my group tried the wheat germ milk tea, green tea ice cream smoothie, and strawberry slush. Overall average location of local bubble tea chain. read more

Bubble world is definitely a place if you are looking for inexpensive dishes. Now I haven't been here in the last year or so now and it looked like the restaurant had a renovation, as well as a new sign out front. It definitely looked more modern and sort of like pearl castle. There were four of us at 8:45 PM and we probably had to wait for about 5-10 minutes for a table. I ordered a passion fruit green tea (half sweet, less ice; $4.25), and the Traditional Taiwanese Three Sauce Chicken ($8.95), which I paid an extra $2.50 to make it a combo with two side dishes and a bowl of rice. Even though I ordered a half sweet for my passion fruit green tea, it was still a little too sweet for me. Other than that, it had a strong passion fruit flavour. I think the cups that they served the bubble tea in are slightly bigger than those at other bubble tea shops. I could be wrong though, but for $4.25 for a simple powder based passion fruit green tea was a little too pricey when the average price range for the drink is usually around $3.75. Maybe that is why I am trying to justify it by saying the cup is larger..I thought their food was cheaper than their drinks, as the food items were better in quality. I was always used to having my three cup chicken more pan-fried without any liquid. But the one at Bubble World had more sauce and not as crispy. Although it tasted good, the dish only had around 10 pieces of chicken. There were quite a few of tiny broken bones resulting from not cutting the pieces clean. The two side dishes I had were celery and wood-ear mushroom, and spicy (and saucy) cabbage and deep-fried tofu. I wasn't a fan of the latter one because the sauce tasted weird to me. However, I did like the celery and wood-ear mushrooms as it was light and refreshing. Overall, service could definitely be improved upon. The servers looked like they were mad at the whole world. But they did fill our water without having us hunt them down for it. They gave us the bill even though we weren't done with our drinks yet. The restaurant clearly had slowed down with no one waiting for a table. I didn't understand why we were rushed to pay. read more

My boyfriend and I had Bubble tea from Bubble World last week. We had a great experience at Bubble World. I ordered Peach Green Tea and he had Blueberry white chocolate milk tea. We arrived at the Bubble World after the dinner time. It was not busy in the restaurant. We didn't even wait for long. We got our bubble tea fast. My peach green tea was sweet and fresh icy. I went to this "franchise-like" bubble tea joint, to pick up a regular milky tea. This is one of the original locations that I often come to, and it is one of the more convient ones. No little chinese snacks, just strictly drinks at this location, unlike the one up the block near Metrotown. Acouple points that I have deducted, and they are very minimal, to people who have gone to Bubble World over the years, they do not accept the stamp card anymore. So any drinks you were expecting to get for free from your filled up cards will have to go to the garbage. Also they still are a "Chinese" place, which means = CASH ONLY. They did renovate this location, and there is free Wi-Fi internet, so a minor plus. Other than that, it's still the old Bubble World that I have grown up on. read more

Went for a late night treat with my boyfriend! I've been coming to this location for just over 10 years now and have never had a bad experience. Staff are always friendly and knowledgable, they also have very good tea suggestions to first time customers. This location has been re-modeled at least 3 times in the last decade and currently looks it's best. It's casual but classy at the same time, has a very open and clean look and feel. Only place I will ever get bubble tea from because their fruit is fresh and not powder and the pearls and jelly are made fresh every day and not from a jar like 99% of places in Vancouver. If it's your first time trying bubble tea I would highly suggest this establishment, You will not be disappointed! read more

At the time, they seemed like the latest and greatest place to get it, but with many other alternatives now available, it's fallen a lot lower on my list. Was actually looking for a place that served shaved ice for dessert today, and given that I didn't realize Icy Bar didn't open until much later that afternoon, I decided to give Bubble World a shot. The shaved ice comes out to be 7.60 and comes with your choice of 5 toppings. I ordered strawberry, watermelon, papaya, green apple jelly and mango stars. Although the watermelon was ripe, the papaya and strawberry definitely tasted like it could have been left to ripen a smidge longer. The stars and apple jelly were fine though. The price is pretty comparable to other places around, though if you're looking for fruit toppings, maybe those other places might do a bit better. read more

I love this place! I like the diverse offerings on the menu. I've tried countless variations of the fresh fruit slush, and it is sooo refreshing and good. I would recommend anything with papaya or honeydew in it, especially, like strawberry honeydew or strawberry papaya. The milk tea variations are all great too. The snacks are also pretty good. I have tried the curry squid balls, and they make a nice treat alongside a bubble tea. Service is extremely friendly and they are willing to customize things for you. The typical "fast food" Boba joint in Vancouver. Nothing really special, but they do have specials of the week here for boba. The décor here is lacking, and the terrible seating are just a bore. This place hasn't changed its seats, the chairs, the tables or the décor since they opened like years ago. I would come here only for late nigh boba, and a group of friends to just satisfy hunger. The price of it is not heavy and the dishes are big enough to satisfy a night of cravings with boba. Pro: Whenever I am out to eat in the area I always stop by to grab bubble tea. I usually get honey green milk tea half sweet so I can't say too much about the other flavours. I love my drink though! They're really fast with service and they also have a stamp card so you can get a free drink at every 10th drink. There is a lot of seating if you want to hang out with your friends. Another cool thing is they have those dispensing machines with cute keychains and such. Con: They recently increased their prices, probably because a bunch of other bubble tea places are opening up in Vancouver with higher prices. They changed the prices just by pasting papers/stickers over their old prices on the board so I find it kinda tacky. Not sure if this has changed since my last visit though. Another thing is it is hard to find parking since there is no lot. I usually just park on the side streets. read more

This place always seems to be packed, for good reason--the bubble tea is to die for!!! Truthfully, I'm afraid to try any other Earl Grey milk teas that AREN'T Bubble World in fears of being let down... They really have the drinks down to a science here. I've had a shot at the Minty Chocolate BBT as well as the Pea Butterfly BBT, all delicious and come in MASSIVE glasses, should you choose to dine in, which you definitely need to do at least once, if not for the price and value!!! As proof it wasn't just a visual thing, I had dranken at least half of my drink dine-in once and got it packed to go in the standard large BBT container--it was pretty much almost a full drink once in the to go cup! Food can be a bit pricey for the size, but haven't been let down in terms of quality... Taro spring rolls are great, albeit a bit small, and the Five Spice beef green onion pancake is my go-to for just a big enough snack to satisfy but not bloat me. First off, it is next to impossible to find a close parking spot during busy hours; however, if you come later you can find a spot somewhat close by. OK, so, I ordered the Ferrero Rocher slush with pearls, and it was almost flavourless, the only thing I could taste was a faint hint of hazelnut that tasted nothing like Ferrero Rocher nor did it taste like Ferrero Rocher bubble tea I have had at other places in the area. The service was fast and efficient, though, and the prices were reasonable. One last thing, although significant, is that they do not accept credit or debit - cash only. Been coming here for a while now, the bubble tea is ok, I usually go down to Milk and Sugar Cafe now though because they are cheaper and the portions are bigger (not to mention its fresher and tastier too!). The only thing that keeps me coming back here is the Passion Fruit and/or Mango Red Teas and the Peach Green Tea, which I find that Milk and Sugar doesnt do as well. They are cash only here and they have stamp cards which is a bonus. I also like the sofas for sitting, which is more comfortable than the wooden chairs usually taken up by customers anyways. I almost always come here at night and its usually always filled with high school kids. BBW should step up their game and add $2 bubble tea specials, maybe then I will decide to come back. Me and my 6 kids go to place for bubble tea. Regulars for about 8 plus years. The condensed milk toast is my daughter and my favourite.

When in Vancouver, try all the boba places! My boyfriend and I ordered the Milky Malt Tea and the Milk Almond Tea. The Milky Malt tea was good (not too milky) but I should have gotten less sweet. The Milky Almond Tea had a nice almond flavor but once again should have gotten less sweet. Overall, my milk tea craving was satisfied! read more

But I just got a hyper smug waitress who, after I enquired about the crazy $1 extra just for pearls, started talking to me like I was an idiot, and proceeded to tell me that every place in yvr was that $$ ( so not true). To put the icing on the cake, my friend had gotten 10 stamps and was redeeming his free bbt, to which she flat out said they don't honor stamps anymore. My friend said there was nothing written on the stamps saying they could do that, but she kept saying they made the announcement already months ago. My total for bbt was $5.32. I can get the same at l&g on Granville & 41st for $3.25 (granted I'm VIP there, but that's the heir version of the stamps). I called in to make an inquiry on the ingredients in the bubble teas since my daughter has allergies to eggs, all nuts and chocolate. After speaking with the manager, we determined the best drink option for her would be milk and honey slush with pearl. I mentioned she is on the way and he went above and beyond and already prepared her drink. My niece was with my daughter and she text me to let me know the drink was already prepared when they walked in. I didn't even ask. What amazing service. The guy that took our order was super nice. I asked for extra pearls in my drink (2 scoops) and he gave them to me, but then a 2nd guy made the drink and took out half the pearls. This is one of the original bubble tea places and is a franchise. I used to frequent here a lot when I lived closer to the area, but since moving prefer other places. The bubble tea I have to say is very consistent. My favourite is the regular bubble milk tea with pearl with ice cream. OMG TDF. However, it was pricey. Whereas at L&G on Fraser & 41st, they make this drink with the ice cream blended for $3. Needless to say, I don't come to bubble world much anymore. The service was ok, but I found it very strange that every time I would call, they would double check that I did not mistake them for the Metrotown one. That got kind of annoying, but I guess they had a lot of confused people at one time. read more
