2 pc chicken with Taiwanese style rice

The picture outside is so mouth watering I had to try it but I was quite disappointed. The food is pricey given its a whole in the wall fast food like place. The jumbo chicken steak took awhile to make and was alright. Nothing special. Same with the 2 pc chicken with Taiwanese rice. Something I can cook. Their chicken is very average. Good thing was the staff there was nice and explained the menu well. Limited menu though, not many options.

I remember trying these ginormous fried chicken steaks at the Richmond Night Market one year. It's nice to see them venture out to brick and mortar locations in Richmond and now, in downtown Vancouver. Opted for the boneless chicken bites, yam fries, regular fries, fried oyster mushrooms and fried squid balls. The chicken was quite tasty, not too oily. The batter had a mix of spice and sweetness. The meat was juicy and tender - kicked up chicken nuggets! Hand cut fries and yam fries were crispy and tender. Table fave were the fried oyster mushrooms, unique and umami. The squid balls were nice, but needed a condiment other than ketchup or sweet n spicy sauce. Very friendly staff. The price point is ok, but on the higher end all things considered. A nice treat every once in a while.

I wasted too much money here, not because it was good, because I was foolish to get caught in their scam. The chicken they sell is decently good chicken but it's so overpriced it's insane. The chicken is also every salty so each piece I was dying for water. It's a nice crispness and taste but it's just so salty. The mini chicken steaks are fine but for $10 it's a hefty price for a couple pieces so chicken. The chicken is also on the thin side so if you're looking for something resembling a chicken nugget this is gonna be like it's flattened cousin. Popcorn chicken pieces were too small. Some of the pieces were ok sized but the smaller ones were borderline dry. I don't think I will go here again honestly.

Taste different with Taiwan's original, fries too much oily. After order, it takes 15-20 min to get foods. the price too high. I expected Taiwan's chicken steaks. You guys better to reorganize this business.

I don't understand how this kind of business can ever grow or even just exist. Vancouver keeps surprising me. I mean, the staff is great. The food is Absolutely Terrible. Not a little bad. Really bad. The second worst I've ever had in Vancouver. The chicken is bad. It's marinated in stuff I don't like, it gives it a weird texture. It's very sweet. I repeat, it's very sweet. It's unhealthy useless sugar. The first bites I thought I was eating bad candy. I wish well for the owners and the staff but I hope this kind of shops just cease to exist. It's so bad. Please just go out of business. The wait time was very long, it's the slowest and the most expensive fast food place I've ever been to. McDonald's, which is not good by my standards, is a thousand times better. If everything was free and easy access and with no wait time, I would still never go back there. The only reason I'm not giving a single star is because the staff was nice. Do I regret spending almost $30? Yes. I wish I never had to write this review. I wish I never knew about that place and its food. The fries... they're worse than frozen fries, by my standards. They're even worse than soft cold McDonald's fries. Okay maybe I'm exaggerating a bit about the fries. But their quality is so bad, most of them are grey on the inside. Good luck if you dare to try.

Delicious fried chicken! Got the regular chicken and it was tender and moist inside, not dry like many places tend to be.

I was debating between this and AYCE $19.95 deal. I got lunch combo $12.99 since I might overeat from AYCE. I asked the server for lunch combo and radish pickles. And choose cheese sprinkles with fries. Meat was tender and juicy. Batter was light, just the way it should be. Cheese sprinkle wasn't my usual go to so the flavour was okay. Kids might like it. Not spicy just cheesy and little sweet. Fries were perfect like ones from Costco food court. I'll never order this flavour and won't recommend this at all. The taste reminds me of Cheetos. Loved the quality and portions for the price. I can never find this price at Chicko and any other Korean fried chicken places. Server was fantastic, she apologized about forgetting to bring radish. It's a small restaurant so takeout is recommended! Great place to watch World Cup!

I ordered 2 pc of fried chicken with Coleslaw ($1.50 extra for Spaghetti, 59 cents extra for adobo rice) since I wanted some veggies. Chicken thigh and leg were juicy and delicious. I think staff were too busy they didn't even ask if I wanted regular or spicy. I usually like their spicy ones more than regular. Anyways, food was good. I wish the meats were bigger. Nothing to complain for $10 deal other than sizes. Coleslaw was quite tasty. Chicken was flavourful when dipped into gravy. I highly recommend Cambie location as they have more tables for everyone. It took me awhile to find a seat for myself.

The Pineapple quencher was so good / I would return just for the juice haha. - Peach Mango pie was warm and the center wasn't overly sweet so that's a plus! Spaghetti had a nice sweetness to it, however temperature wise, it leaned towards lukewarm - which was okay, but definitely could have been warmer. The chicken itself, flavor was okay - however I think the batter could have been coated more, as it lacked a proper crunch - and in terms of the spicy piece, to me it was not spicy , way to mild in my opinion.

Mom and I both got the classic cheeseburger. The beef patty was large and cooked just right, not over done or under cooked, juicy without being too wet to soak the bun. It was great. And my waffle fries with SO DELICIOUS. Nice and crunchy and good seasoning. Mom's dill pickle fries were good but they weren't as crispy as my waffle fries, or very crispy as well, and we both agreed waffle fries are the way to go! But man, those churro bites were something else. They came out piping hot, fully loaded with cinnamon sugar, and when I bit into one, it was most delicious sweet I've ever had eating out. The outside had that signature and satisfying crunch while the inside was warm and soft. They basically melted in your mouth. The vanilla dipping sauce wasn't very sweet and fairly mild which I appreciated so it wouldn't overpower the churro taste. Mom and I were in heaven! The bucket of bacon was solid too! The bacon was thick cut and cooked well. And our waitress was super friendly too! Also the decor inside is gorgeous with all the albums and posters and photos covering the walls. We ate here around 6pm Monday night and the place was basically empty! Mom and I will definitely eat here again. Their burgers were big and tasty, their waffle fries were incredible, and those churro bites were THE BEST. Get those asap, you'll be glad you did!

I would recommend ordering them "wet" otherwise the sauce can dry onto the wing if you order them standard. I got the garlic parm fries as well as the curly fries on different orders, both are good but I'm partial to the curly. The bucket of bacon looks amazing, just not sure my cardiologist would approve. Don't waste your time elsewhere, just order here. DoorDash is quick and easy from here fyi.
