There were only 2 self bays open. Both change machines were broken. No attendant on duty to give me change. The high pressure rinse was unbelievably useless. My garden hose at home has more pressure. No better than driving in the rain. Card reader rarely works. Tire cleaner doesn't work. Top roller doesn't work. Applies wax with suds still on car. Rinse doesn't get close to getting soap off. Terrible waste of money. read more

Went to bubbles car wash last week on Hwy 105. Do it yourself car wash. I used the wand with soap and then rinsed the car off with clear water. The timer said I used four minutes and twenty seconds of water. I was charged $12.81 for this time. Way over priced. I really like their location on King Street and don't mind paying $12.00 for the drive thru car wash. read more

This is specifically for the do it yourself one on HWY 105. About a week ago, I pulled in there into one of the open bays to spray my truck off. None of the digital boards were working at all, and I walked to all the open bays. Same deal. At least that time I didn't get stolen from. I went in yesterday, thinking they would have things corrected. I saw the digital boards were working. I swiped my card , and chose high pressure rinse. Nothing. I chose high pressure soap. Nothing. I switched between many of the options, all of them were broken. So, irritated, I hit the tiny stop button on the card reader. The timer said 54 seconds and "$5 charged to card." I was really mad then. Upon checking my bank account just now, I see that they ACTUALLY charged $10. I am beyond mad. Ten dollars for absolutely nothing. Steer clear of this location!! I hope this review can save some other people their money. This location needs to go out of business instantly. read more

So, I have gone to Bubbles for years here in Boone, NC. Today, however, is the LAST time I will frequent that business! After getting a car wash, the doors of the bay would not open. After the dryer stopped, I got out of the car and tried to find a way out of the place. I could not. So, i called 911. They called the owner of Bubble's who came over and found a way to get the door to go up. He stated that someone had pushed the big RED button.....that was me...it was unlabeled and I thought it would cause the door to open. Anyway, it was very scary to be confined for 25 minutes and then, when the door is opened, the owner does not have the decency to apologize for this MALFUNCTION that not only inconvenienced me but scared me! read more

I had an issue that I brought to the assistant manager. He told me that the situation was out of his hands and that he could not help me (he could've). I asked for the owner's name so that perhaps he could help me resolve the problem, I asked for a telephone number, email address, when he would be back in the office...anything. The assistant manager flat out told me "no", and called me a b*tch to my face because I was being too aggressive (??). There is no exaggeration to this statement- the assistant manager called me a dog. I cried out of frustration and he laughed at me and told me to "toughen up". I asked him why he was being so rude to me and he said "because I don't care about you. Why should I?" I was FINALLY able to get in touch with the owner thanks to the assistant manager's co-worker (who did NOT offer to help me while the other man verbally assaulted me). To his credit, the owner apologized and was professional about the incident with the assistant manager (the initial problem was of little concern at this point). Unfortunately, the employee who refused to help me (a long time customer with a monthly membership) was not fired and as of today still retains his employment. I love to support local businesses, but will be withholding my money from Bubbles Carwash in Boone from here on out. No one should be treated that way no matter the situation, and allowing that man to keep his job only shows him that his actions have no repercussions. He will continue to disrespect people and I cannot support a business who supports that kind of behavior. read more

Paid $9 for a hands free wash lasted less than 1 minute and didn't do anything came outside car was still dirty. After used the vacuum to clean inside and the pressure was low didn't clean anything up. Will never stop here again. read more

First time customer of the US421 location. Went in with a top of the line bike rack on the roof - never had a problem in any other car wash. Not at Bubbles - ripped off the back part of the rack for good. I know they have a disclaimer about roof racks, but I've taken my car in literally hundreds of other car washes with the rack on and never had a problem. When I raised the issue, all I got was a sympathetic shrug and a "will call ya..." which never happened of course. read more

Don't bother. I went through the bay that has the brushes. My truck was pretty dirty. After spending $10 I wish I would have just went to Auto Bell. The center brush that does windshield, hood, roof ect didn't even spin. After the wash I pulled out to inspect my truck just to find it covered in a sudsy mess and the hood and windshield still dirty. read more

This location has 2 auto washes and several self wash bays. One of the auto washes is almost always out of service. The machines are always out of receipt paper (a real pain when one keeps receipts for a corporate account or expense reports). Today, only one lane was open it it would take credit cards at all - cash only. I quit using this location but today I was in a hurry so thought I'd give it another try. I left with a dirty ride and went across town to another wash. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

I have been multiple times and never had a problem. Are they perfect, no but you get what you paid for. If you want a quality wash go get hand washed at Autobell. Vacuums are free at the end of the wash. read more

The washing technology is good - when it works, but the process for accepting debit or credit card payment is pathetic (I've just been charged twice for a single wash), and sometimes the various components don't work. For example, on two occasions (including once today), I was charged for the full $10 wash, but the undercarriage wash didn't function (although it did function for the car in front of me). Further, no one answers the telephone listed and no one has responded to my written notes describing problems. "Customer Service" is not in this business's vocabulary, and their credit/debit card process is (at least sometimes) a one-armed bandit. read more

The owners helped me out a lot when my car was covered in sap. They new exactly what soap mixture would break down the sap. These guys aren't your typical car wash owners. They research what is best for your vehicles cleaning needs and dont just use dish soap like other car washes do. Some people think it is a little pricey, but you are definitely paying for what you get here. :) read more
