Very Expensive and Slow but great sales people. I took my car in for a "service engine soon" light. I paid $194 for diagnostics, which was very thorough, which turned into a $732 repair which turned into a $1200 repair which turned into a $3500 repair. every time they "fixed" something they found another issue. I would have thought the diagnostic scan would have been better. One item they suggested was to change my breaks within the next 5,000 miles. When I picked up the car the breaks were terrible when breaking on a steep decline. Now the breaks have to be replaced which I will do elsewhere. They are NOT a BMW shop for sure. read more

Our experience with Land N has been nothing but positive. Our initial reason for them was the dreaded check engine light. They were able to promptly diagnose and address the issue( complete with photos and easy to understand directions). They were also able to provide a loaner car so that work responsibilities were not affected. Never did I think I would be giving 5 stars to an auto mechanic. Ive been to a few places out in Boone to get my car serviced and I have NEVER been treated with such respect while getting my car serviced. I usually get very anxious when I go to a repair shop since I know nothing about cars, I am a female, and Im always scared I will be getting played into over paying like many other mechanics have done. While being immediately greeted and taken care of, they lent me a loaner car while my car was in the shop. Periodically thought the day they kept me up to speed on where my car was, what the issues were and what the price of each would be. It made me feel EXTREMELY comfortable that my car was in the right hands. I dropped my car off at 8 am and by 3 pm it was all done! What shocked me more than the amazing service that was provided here was that my car was vacuumed clean when I picked it up. I have NEVER had a mechanic shop EVER care for my car as much as L&N Performance. I cannot recommend them enough if you're looking to get your car serviced, 10/10! All I can say is this will be the ONLY place I get my car serviced ever again! Thank you all for the amazing service! Big plus is they are very Covid safe! I took my car to them for the annual North Carolina inspection. They said they needed to do a test drive which I have never had performed on my previous inspections. They also took several hours to do this inspection, which in the past has taken other businesses 15 to 20 minutes. The people were very nice, but I do not understand why they do their North Carolina inspections different from everyone else. read more

On a long road trip from Texas and check engine light came on in Boone NC, found L&N Auto Repair near our hotel and stopped in. Super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Did diagnostic check and discovered not be a big problem. Didn't charge a cent for their time and effort - this kind of friendly helpful service is so rare these days. They took me in within 24 hours for an oil change. It took them an hour but checked the car over as well. The price was reasonable. OH and they take the Local First card. These guys are a delight to work with, they are honest, and extremely thorough. I would highly recommend them to anyone! I had a few things going on with my Powerstroke 7.3 Diesel Ford E350 van, and I could tell they really knew their stuff, which is extremely important for these types of specialized vehicles. They spent the time to speak with me and even took the time to go through a big book of all the service records of my van (22 years worth of records). They really are the most professional group of mechanics I've ever worked with. They sent me a thorough Peace of Mind inspection with pictures of the parts that needed work and even the things that looked good. They have a solid relationship with mechanics around the U.S., so they have 24-month warranties on their work and can uphold that nationwide. I had to leave town so I couldn't get all the work done with them and Lucas offered to recommend shops in California that could help me with my further needs.
