This place charges 25 just to drive through the car wash and get your dried. no vacuum or trash cans

Autobell is my go-to car wash in Boone. It's fast, efficient, relatively cheap, and gets the job done. Employees are friendly and responsible (shout out to CARLOS!) They always ask if you are pleased with the service. The facility is clean. I'm rating 4/5 stars only because this isn't the best car wash I've been to in my life (others that have exceptionally comfortable seating, magazines or games, computers for use, a small retail shop, etc.) but it's definitely the best car wash in Boone. It's also the only one I'm aware of that does any type of interior cleaning. $30 isn't bad for exterior including underbody, tires, rain and bug repellant, as well as interior door jams, console, mat cleaning, and vacuuming, etc. If you just want the exterior washed, you can do that, too, for only $6. It all depends on what you're looking for! read more

Interior was rough and dirty from transporting dogs, 2 Labs. Faith did a fabulous job in cleaning the car and interior. Almost like a full detail. She took extra time and pulled the car out of line to the side, to allow sufficient time to finish. She did an excellent job. read more

I've brought my suv here a number of times and it took a while to wait it to come out gleamlng. Those times I purchased a basic inside/outside wash. Today I purchased a $33 dollar wash which Included interior mats. I left a 20%tip for dropping off a very muddy car I was surprised that my car was dropped off and told it was ready to go. I got into the car, the interior hadn't been vacuumed, seats hadn't wiped down, inside of doors and rear hatched hadn't been wiped. I went to a kind and professional young man, Jacob, who immediately helped and with pleasure! He left his site immediately picked up where his other left off Because of Jacob I'm leaving a good review. Can't believe all the negative ratings. Guy that cleaned my interior hustled. Staff at front end were super friendly too. Took my kids' Pilot and did it ever need work. Two little kids that are always snacking on the way to life got it pretty messy. Not cheap, not hand detailed, but for $36 + tip, awfully good. The $36 was full out with tire gloss, Rain X, and New Vinyl. Kids won't recognize their old sled. read more

Absolutely horrible! My Tahoe was dirty I'd admit so I ask the tenant before entering the wash If they could clean the white letters on the tires and brake dust off the wheels? He of course said yes. The tires were not touched except to put polish on them (which IMO made them look worse with the dirt) and the wheels... Well were still filthy. I had laid the floor mats in the back hatch area, when they vacuumed it was literally a swipe and didn't even touch the hatch area. The dash was swiped over and the windows streaked. All this for $30.00 - NEVER AGAIN! read more

This is the only full service car wash in town, which stinks because it's very hit and miss. Some of the workers have a very poor work ethics. Twice now I've paid for an expensive service and it's not been done correctly. Today for instance, my car was supposed to be armoralled and they did not do it. When i looked at the car upon pickup and didn't think it looked done, I asked the kid and he lied to my face, saying he did it. I came back an hour later after driving around because I decided I shouldn't pay a lot of money for a service I did not get. The manager told someone else to do it, and they did, but it's just poor service not to do it right the first time. read more

On November 26th I took my truck through the Boone, NC location to be washed as I have done before. I drove straight home and parked it in my barn. Later I went out to go to town and I checked my air pressure in my tires and noticed that both of my drivers side wheels had multiple scratches on them. It didn't have these scratches before, I know this because I had made several stops before I arrived at Autobell to have my truck washed and I didn't see scratches before then. When I went to speak to the manager, Tyler Lumsden, this morning I was met with "I can fill out an incident report and rewash to see if it does it again". Well the scratches are so bad you wouldn't be able to tell if it made them worse. So I walked through the wash with him as it did my truck, and he dried the wheels down and said it didn't look any worse and that "the scratches were vertical and horizontal, which wasn't consistent with the wash pattern". Well as the wheels on my truck turn while it is rolling through the wash that would make them consistent. On his report he filled out he states that "none of their equipment was high enough to reach the center of the wheel". Well I watched as the side brushes cleaned along the side of my truck, and they were higher than the center of my wheel, but the damage occurred on the bottom of my wheels, but the wheels made several revolutions as they were being scratched. Anyway I'm screwed on my 2 wheels because of either Autobells equipment or incompetence. I've been a customer of this location for 16 years but not anymore. read more

I have just returned from paying over $25 for a car wash, interior and exterior including washing floor mats. I was in a hurry and did not look over the car before I left. That was a mistake. The floor mats, once dried, still have mud caked on them and there was NO vacuuming of the back seat floor. I mentioned to the attendant that the work was done quickly (under 5 minutes) and he said they had 2 guys working on it. Cup holders were inadequately "cleaned" and seats were not wiped. I have had some good and some bad experiences at this location but after today I'll be getting my car cleaned off the mountain. Really shoddy. Wish I hadn't given a generous tip before actually looking over the work. Disappointed. read more

I went to have my car cleaned, inside and out. I went at 8:00 a.m., so they were not busy at all. I paid $41 to have it detailed inside and out, which of course, included vacuuming. I watched the young man wipe down my dash and dry the car, etc., from the bench out front. He told me that my car was ready. I opened my car and noticed an excess of armor all on my dash, door handles and outside of the passenger door. That's not the problem....I noticed that my car hadn't been vacuumed at all. The guy said, "Is there a problem?" I responded that there indeed was a problem because it hadn't been vacuumed. He states that he had vacuumed it and I know that he had just told and outright lie to my face. I told him that I had been watching him and he hadn't done what he claimed he did. He started to get an attitude and half assed vacuumed only the drivers seat and floor. I drove away and went straight to Walmart to buy cleaning wipes and then drove to ride with pride to vacuum my car. This place overcharges and lies to customers to make a profit.
