Update: 12/2/23: I'm not sure what happened to the quality and service but it seemed like it has gone downhill. The drinks were very watery and it seemed like the staff were confused at times with the orders. They definitely needed one additional person, at least one cashier and the other 3 making drinks. The line was getting backed up. I think from the time I was waiting in line to ordering my drinks and then receiving the drinks was like 12-15 mins. That's pretty bad. I honestly have never had a good experience with this company. Smoothie bowl wasn't blended fresh. Just scooped some coconut puree already frozen into a bowl. Small amount of toppings. This is my first time inside the Notth Market and I seen my favorite place with a couple new items to me. Ary and Garnet greeted me and my friend amazingly. Ary took my order a recommended me a Berry Blast bowl. Garnet gave some excellent reviews about the bowl and that's where I decieded to get it. My bowl looks so amazing and she took get time with it. I've been a customer at Bubbles for 20 years and it's always been my favorite place for bubble tea until recently. They were purchased by another company and the quality and the reward system has gone completely downhill. The rewards system use to be worth it but now it's a joke. Every location is different and the Dublin store never knows how to work the rewards system. The past 3 visits they've either not been at the counter to take our order so we waited, there's only 1 person working to take care of everyone, they are out of products for our drinks and last time they served me my buckeye shake warm. I hen I asked for it to have ice added and reblended the worker acted angry would ask. Nobody wants a warm buckeye drink. Bubbles was just okay for me. With a plethora of authentic boba places back home in Phoenix, I was interested to try this spot inside north market. I got a black milk tea (light on the sweetener) with boba. My girlfriend got a green apple tea with coconut jelly. The black milk tea was really lacking flavor but at least it wasn't very sweet per my request. It almost even seemed watered down right off the bat. The boba at least seemed to be cooked properly but I was not very impressed. My girlfriend really loved the flavor of her green apple tea. She ended up with rainbow jelly instead of coconut though but she just dealt with it as she doesn't mind rainbow jelly either. Service was fine and fast. I stop into the North Market on the regular and recently I was on the hunt for something to quench my thirst. I tend to walk right on by Bubbles because I'm looking for some hardy food. Not this time though... this was just what I needed. I took a quick look over the menu and glanced through the pre-made beverages in the cooler. Blueberry lemonade sounded like it could be just what I was looking for. It was a strong blue color and definitely caught my attention. Fresh blueberries bounced around inside the bottle when I grabbed it up and headed two steps over to the register. The staff was a little preoccupied during my visit. I proceeded to stand there for a few minutes while one girl starred at me while cleaning bottles, another cleaned up a big spill, and a third kept her back turned while watching the mess get cleaned up. I waited patiently and eventually handed over the $4 for my drink. I opened it right away and took a giant gulp. It was a little sweet (duh, it's lemonade) and refreshing, not too cold, and just what I was looking for. I would consider grabbing a drink here on my next lunch at the North Market excursion. Ordered a Thai tea no boba. They make it, with boba. Fine, easy mistake, usually everyone wants boba. The guy immediately recognized his mistake before I had to say anything. Then he proceeds to rush through making the drink again, realizes there isn't enough drink to fill the cup, and then pours hot tea over the iced drink, causing all the ice to melt, then hands it to me. It's room temperature cold at best. I ask for more ice. He cuts open the lid, and pours the drink over ice. Then throws away the rest of the drink (probably a quarter of the drink) I had already drank from. I asked him if he just threw away the rest of my drink, he answered "oh, you wanted that?" Yes, I paid for it. And now the proportions in the drink are off. I was just frustrated at this point and walked away. The newly made Thai tea was watered down, I took about 4 sips and threw the rest away. They were nice enough I suppose, but their haste to try to fix things just made it worse. read more

This place has some pretty expensive prices for drinks. Some of the bottled juices were more than $15, depending on what what put in them. I think mine was around 8, which is still pretty steep. First and foremost, bubble tea either is or isn't your thing. But let's talk about a different option that not everyone has tried: popping boba. Typical bubble tea is made with dark-colored balls of tapioca, which is definitely strange for many people. I tend to like it, but it has a time and a place. Now popping boba, on the other hand, is a cellulose-like ball filled with juicy syrup that pops in your mouth. I like both under the right circumstances, depending on my mood. I love the smoothies at Bubbles, but I hate sherbet (why would I want artificially fruit-flavored ice cream in an otherwise healthy beverage), and thankfully the staff at Bubbles has always been willing to adjust the ingredients in my favorite option, the Tropical Temptation, to accommodate my wishes. I also love the milk teas, Jasmine or Lavender, and that's when I go for the traditional tapioca bubbles. Bubbles also has a variety of bottled juices and wellness shots which I love. They're losing 1 star because they are always out of the charcoal lemonade that I want when I am there! Certain things shouldn't be on the menu and should only be in the cooler if they are out of stock that often. This is one of those places that seems to think that not putting prices on the menu is the cool thing to do. This is a well-documented psychological trick. If a restaurant is doing this to you, they are trying to trick you into thinking that you are buying a luxury good and so you shouldn't care about the price. It's one thing to see that in a five star restaurant, but for a juice stand in a market, that's wholly inappropriate. I want to see what I'm buying, how much it costs, and order quickly. With that out of the way, I tried two of Bubbles' vaunted cold-pressed juices: Trinity and the Magician. Both were extremely overpriced, at $8 for just a few ounces. Neither were enjoyable to drink in any way. Both came in bottles with some diagrams on them showing how drinking things gives your body nutrients, which seemed to try and imply that their cold-pressed juices were somehow better for you than other juices, while there is no real data to support that. Neither juice was something I enjoyed or wanted to drink again. I would not voluntarily drink either again if I was to be paid the $8 they each cost. Based on the pricing, marketing, and the drinks themselves, Bubbles seems more interested in extracting money from its customers by cashing in on pseudo-science than in delivering quality food. I tasted it, and it was really good: full of flavor, a bit sweet, a good winter tea. They apparently make their own teabags, and I saw they sell loose tea. I love the tapioca balls but the guy who worked here recommended the jelly strips saying they were just like the tapioca balls... They were not like them at all. Do not get the jellies especially if you have food texture problems. I could not enjoy my tea because I got them. Do not get me wrong though, this place is not bad! It's like a smoothie shop - only it's juice. Well...they can make smoothies too. You order from the menu or pick your own variety of fruits and they put it through the juicer. Yum! It takes a bit, so you must be patient. They also have flavored teas and shots of wheat grass, but I hate tea and can't stomach the thought of wheat grass no matter how nutritious it is. Blech! Bubbles can add boba balls to your drink - a gummy bear type root that adds sweetness and texture. Their freshly squeezed juices come in to go cups, quarts, half gallons, and gallons. I recommend the Cookies 'n' Cream smoothie that has Oreos and chocolate. They'll use soy milk upon request. Also, the hot apple cider! They're selling it right now, but it's only seasonal. I'm a sucker for cider. They have two food options: crepes and fruit salad. I haven't had either. You can call your order in advance if you're hurry.
