The woman said Verbatim "that's to sweet, we can't do that" even after it was stated that paying and a price point is not the problem. The guy next to her who did speak at all cleared His throat and shook his head indicating to her to say no. I understand saying no but the menu is misleading- why have percentages as to how sweet you want your drink- customizing options and all just to tell your customers that the accommodations you offer , you refuse to do ? with no real reason? Especially since it's on the MENU and you can PICK your drink . This experience just reminded me as to why I stopped coming here. Love at first try! So many drinks to choose from. Boba was cooked perfectly, soft and chewy. I had the Vivi milk tea, Fresh mango tea with mango bits and tea jelly toppings and their coffee jelly milk tea was awesome it has bubbles and coffee jelly yum! So I always ask if they are getting the tips if you pay by card. Some establishments do and some dont. This one don't, so its nice to have a few bills on hand for tips. Service was friendly and fast. All of these little off-campus shops look vaguely shady at first glance, but it's pretty cute on the inside, if overwhelming for the amount of pink. This place is fine. Super cute shop, a little run down (tape from old posters on the walls, etc). Almost all of the flavors have caffeine so it's not great for kids- also only one huge size that kids can't finish. But the drinks were yummy and looked like they were made with fresh fruit. Service with a frown/blank stare but that's fine, they got the job done and maybe we expect too much from workers. A little disappointing as a place to have a special treat, but overall decent. I haven't had the best luck finding great bubble tea in Columbus, but this place has been the best I've tried so far. The aesthetics are nice. It has cute decorations, very colorful and the menus are nice to look at. They have a ton of options and variety of drinks you can order, which is really nice. My friends and I ordered roasted oolong, Oreo Creme brûlée and passion fruit with boba. I love that you can choose a variety of toppings and modify your sweetness level. The drinks overall were good but not great. The boba also tasted kind of old, since their texture felt off and they weren't as soft as I prefer. They were a bit chewy with a hard center. The price seems standard compared to other places in the area, though I still feel it's overpriced for the quality. The best perk is the parking is free! Vivi's is one of my favorite boba spots. I recommend their milk based teas and floats. They have a wide variety of flavors and toppings that you can choose from. Compared to KFT and Chatime, I like their milk teas here more than the fruit flavored ones. This is a good spot for small groups, kids, and to take a break. continuing on my brown sugar hunt, this has to be the best place in columbus that offers the most legit and real brown sugar milk that does not skip on adding the syrup, aka the most important part of the brown sugar boba. and the torched sugar on top? iconic. a big highlight is the stamp cards, so if you're an addict like me, then coming back for the brown sugar boba is killing two birds with one stone. a drawback is that the tapioca itself are just regular tapioca, and they do not offer brown sugar tapioca which is like a little extra, but it would enhance the flavor of the brown sugar boba. i think the price is like okkk, its like 5.25/6.25 big tip: if you get the brown sugar boba, ask for the lid like the sealed lid so you can shake it up because they come default as cup lids and its like so hard to mix the brown sugar with the milk. I personally like the brown sugar with just regular milk cus with just my experience with brown sugar, getting milk tea just de-enhances the main flavor, the brown sugar. My favorites here are probably the Floral Tea and Oolong Milk tea. I typically get 50% sugar and less ice with the tapioca. There's seating inside and they have some board games if you want to hang here with friends. There are so many options and I always want to try something new, but I always end up getting something I've had before. The decoration is super cute here. Love the pink and white walls and the skulls decors. The decor is like retro emo (if that is a thing). I always get the 3-Q. It comes with pudding, herb jelly, and topioca (boba). The service is pretty quick depending on the time of the day. I went around noon today and there was only one person working but no line so I got my drink pretty quick. I had also tried the mango smoothie and that was delicious. I like that you can change the sugar level and ice level to your taste. I need to try the matcha boba one day but keep on forgetting to order it because I love the 3Q so much. Ok YUM! Vivi is now my favorite bubble tea in Columbus, because they consistently have great customize-able tea and good tapioca bubbles! And I think the prices are reasonable. We don't have too many choices for bubble tea in this area, but this is a good place to try! The prices are reasonable and they have a loyalty card - buy 5 drinks and your 6th is free. However, the last time we went my sister tried to start a new loyalty card, and the girl working literally just said "no". She accepted that answer but I was curious why? And she said that they only issue cards in the beginning of the month? I'm not sure if this is true or not or what days they will issue them. Kind of weird, I've never heard of that before anywhere. I have also seen some coupons in the saver or some local coupon magazine so look out for those! I have tried the regular black milk tea, green milk tea, tiramisu, and taro milk tea, and they are all excellent! I like my teas to be 70% sweetness with no ice. That way the tea is not watered down, and not overly sweet. I appreciate the ability to customize your sugar/ice levels. I was very excited to see a Vivi Bubble Tea shop in Columbus after visiting the shop before in Chicago and NYC. This is high quality and authentic bubble tea. Compared to other Bubble Tea shops in the Columbus metropolitan, Kung Fu Tea is decent but is slightly Americanized and sweeter than authentic bubble tea that you would find in Taiwan, and Bubbles is possibly the worst bubble tea on the planet. What you find in Vivi is the real thing with strong tea flavor in their bubble teas, which is what you want to look for in a bubble tea. The shop is also very cute with adorable skull decals decorated all over the store and on the packaging of each cup. Vivi is not only the best bubble tea shop in Columbus, but among the best you will find in the United States and comparable to what you get in China/Taiwan. read more

3Q Milk Tea looked good from the picture on their menu, figured give it a try. The lady was having trouble giving me a description of the drink - does it come with a fruit flavor, is the pudding the consistency of chocolate pudding, does the pudding have a distinct flavor, no idea if the milk tea is flavored? It said menu to pick if I wanted this drink with green tea or black tea (I think it was); does it make a difference using plain old green tea as opposed to the other? I asked for 3 extra scoops of pearls, as I love tapioca, but I'm not sure if this was done, as I had no other drink to look at, hold in my hand, and compare. I was the only customer, but that's probably chalked up to them just opening for the day, and also it's holiday break for OSU students. I wasn't thinking, and forgot to scoot down the counter to see how they make their drinks. "Bubble Tea" is a Taiwan thing, being very popular in SE Asian countries. Here, you can specify the ice level and sugar level. No ice for me. A sugar level of 70%. Tasted like regular tea, stronger than what I know of "green tea". Not sure how I feel about the "pudding", as it was a Jell-o, but a bit on the limp side. I'll leave that out next time around. The texture and consistency of the tapioca pearls was good, could use more distinction in taste/flavor. Nobody likes eating plain tasteless balls. The liquid was, how to describe... not horrible. The strong black tea after taste was somewhat of a put-off. The drink didn't have a fruity component, so now I know to inquire about that. I wouldn't get this drink combination again. But, now I have something to gauge my likings against. The space is average size. There's a few four-top tables and more two-tops down the long wall. I like their bold pink and white colors, with the yellow and lime green accenting. Everything was clean and organized.
