Attached is a really shitty picture of some really shitty drinks. I didn't want to slam Kung Fu Tea so hard because I don't remember it being this bad in the past, but the drinks were seriously nasty. Both milk teas were ordered at 30% sweetness but arrived unbearably syrupy. The taste and even texture of the drinks were so cloying that I had to stop after a sip or two. When I got home, I ripped the lids off, poured half the drinks into separate cups, and did some major dilution work with milk and ice. So I guess the one plus side is that I got four drinks...I guess? I was additionally frustrated by the experience because it turned out that the coupon I wanted to use for national girlfriend day (teehee) was only applicable on the KFT app. This was not mentioned on the promotional poster and it was only after I got to the store that an employee explained it to me. I wish the restrictions on KFT discounts were made clear on the flyers so that I could have saved the time I spent in the store just downloading the app, making an account, etc. Positives on this store include that there's plenty of seating and they were running a capybara plushie lottery. We always have good service in any case, and it has been hot this summer, so it was a welcomed suggestion from friends after our dance class. This location in Kenny center is smaller, but it doesn't stop people from hanging inside while we wait for our bubble tea. This location has mobile ordering so you can pick up your order on the spot. First off, I love lychee anything, so we were already having a good start. The popping Boba were a great addition- I don't like then super chewy and they made my drink fruity and refreshing. Definitely two of the better Kung Fu Tea locations I've ever been to and they both sell Egg Custard Tarts - which most places do not. This KFT on the second visit was not quite a stellar as the first - only because they were nearly closing and were happy to serve me and very busy - in fact there was nowhere for me to sit because half the cafe had the chairs turned upside down already and the other half was taken. But I wasn't planning to stay anyway so no big deal. I was only a little bit put off by the fact that they charged me for Boba and then gave me an obviously smaller portion than normal - probably because they were running out at the end of the night. If you can only give someone a half order of tapioca then don't charge them. That would be the normal and fair thing to do. If you really want to be anal about it then charge them half. But as usual they charged the full price and give the half portion. However - despite this - I will stick with five stars because a lot of locations wouldn't serve anyone at all 10 minutes before closing. And that they have a working bathroom! They have WiFi (although I am currently sitting here, and the WiFi is not working) and large tables and even have a few board games. There is a large variety of drinks both cold and hot including slushes, milk teas, classic teas (with no milk), coffee drinks, punches (tea with fruit but no milk) and more. I usually get the wow milk which has Lactaid because I'm lactose intolerant and also comes with bubbles (boba, tapioca, etc). I am also a fan of their oolong milk tea. My ultimate favorite drink has been taken off the menu which was the mung bean wow milk. Apparently no one likes mung bean so I don't think this will affect many people. I'm not sure I would recommend getting bubble with hot drinks because as you can see in my picture, there is no straw with hot drinks so I am unable to get to my bubbles. =( There is plenty of parking, and the rest of the plaza has a lot of interesting stores as well. Kung Fu Tea (KFT) is my favorite place to get boba in town. There's plenty of choices to choose from, free parking, and plenty of tables to sit at. They even provide free WiFi at their stores. I love getting the slushes here and the punches/teas, I think KFT does it better than the other bubble tea places. You can also customize your type of topping(s), amount of ice, and sugar levels! If you've never been and you like sweets/sweet things, I recommend the Taro milk tea or slush. If you're a yogurt person, try their Rosehip milk tea. If you like tea based drinks, I recommend the mango green tea or peach oolong. If you are adventurous, try their wintermelon tea with a milk cap. I usually get bubbles as a topping, but I also love their nata jelly and pudding (consistency of flan). I come here for dessert, hang out with my friends, pick up orders, and study here sometimes. I like that there are various shops surrounding the area and other food spots. Bring a friend, a group, your family, kids, or a date! I love boba and I love coming here. I found out about this bubble tea establishment through other Yelper's. Their helpful reviews made my decision up to come here and finally try it today and I was not disappointed. I tried the KF Milk Green Tea with less sugar and bubbles and it was delicious. The creamy taste made the drink so delectable. It's like a dessert tea for me. Having that right amount of sugar and cold tea mixed together. I know I will definitely be back with my husband. Especially because I saw they have a lychee tea which I think he might like. This Kung Fu Tea location is the best. Their boba is perfectly chewy and sweet. They can get pretty busy nowadays, but to me that's just a testament of how great they are. They also sell desserts too. I highly recommend trying out their egg tarts. They make you buy 2 at a time, so share with a friend or be like me and eat both of them like a pig. Their egg tarts are some of the best I've had. It's nice and custardy in the center and crispy and flaky on the outside.
