I don't consider myself a regular coffee drinker, and I was hesitant to try this place at first. The menu did not seem to show too many options and most of them seemed to lean toward the stronger side. But I decided to go ahead and give it a chance. I ordered the Krak in a Cup. He came back with a very small cup, which at first I was disappointed by, but then I realized it was because it had expresso in it. I tried it and was immediately hooked. They have earned a return customer. The service was amazing and it definitely has a cool vibe and a lot of interesting stickers. The only thing that I would recommend them start doing is having a more informative menu and hype up the business a little when serving new customers. The guy who handed me my drink gave me this pretty awesome sticker! How could anyone not stop at a place that has a logo like this?

Drive-thru coffee shop features unique and flavorful coffee drinks. We ended up getting hibiscus tea (sun azucar), and iced coffee with coconut & caramel. Friendly service! The drinks were great.

This guy had my husband and I cracking up when we went for a coffee run! He was so friendly and was ready to crack all the jokes. :) I ordered a latte with cinnamon (just powder, since he didn't have syrup) and my husband had a mocha with oat milk. Both of our drinks were fantastic. He even took the time to do latte art in both of our drinks. Our drinks total was maybe a dollar or two more expensive at most over Starbucks. But the quality and flavor were great for both drinks, the conversation was fantastic, and supporting a local business makes everyone feel good inside! We will definitely be back! I can't wait to ride our bikes here and stop for an iced coffee refresher - there are a few picnic tables right near the drive-thru!

Now, I stay away from superlatives on Yelp, but I must say, this may be the best coffee I've ever had. With very few adjuncts added to this brew, it was creamy, latte-like, but low fat and sugar free! The best of all worlds. The only negative was the price-$5. Howe's we, as a smaller business during this time, I don't blame them and I'm happy to spend that on coffee! Well done, Bubo. You will be my stop for coffee whenever I'm in town from now on!

The only complaint I have about Bubo's is that it's too far from home! We go hiking at West DuPage Woods semi-regularly and whenever we do I walk at a much faster pacs than normal; I know when we're done, I can get a latte from Bubo! The owner is always pleasant, great quality, and always piping hot (how I prefer my coffee.)

Good coffee, sign said 4.50 for an ice latte asked him to make me his favorite one him how much it would be twice no response came out to 7.87 . Idk if he put gold in it or what but pretty bummy move. Not worth all that. read more

This little coffee kiosk is soooo good! I love coffee and this place has the best coffee I've had in such a long time. It's a little more than 30 min away for me but so worth the drive. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone. read more

Nitro brew is incredible , drip is actually real coffee from a roaster (modest) so you're getting real roaster grade experience in coffee here, but most of all, h-o-l-y SHIT - if You don't treat yourself to a Krak coffee- espresso, agave, cream- you're missing out on one of the finer things in life. So I finally made the drive to Bubo Coffee after wanting to try it for awhile. Cool, eclectic little drive-thru place! Ordered a vanilla latte-it was so delish and the man (who I think was the owner) handed it to me, said my first name, and showed me the beautiful latte art on top which I appreciated! My drink stayed hot and frothy for a long time-my true test of a great latte! The drive is someone out of my way, but I will make an exception to go back soon. It was that good!! read more

My husband and I are coffee lovers!!! We love this little gem. It reminds us of the quint coffee huts in Seattle. The owner here is super friendly! Always has a smile on his face. He made some recommendations for us. We have not had anything bad here. We've had light roast and dark roast coffee, iced coffee, latte, americano. They offer different flavors as an add-in. Also had a frogatto there (galato with coffee) it was phenomenal. There's no cold brew here. Highly recommend this place! I wish there were more small coffee shops in the area. read more

The kindest owner who works diligently to create your perfect coffee. If you don't know what to order, he'll concoct a perfect potion and will tweak it until it's perfect. It is quaint and clean, and provides many options for different dietary restrictions such as keto, dairy-free, sugar-free, etc. My family's favorite coffee shop with beautiful walking trails nearby to take your drink to! read more

I really don't think this place get enough credit due. Let's just say I certain coffee chain has nothing on them. Kind friendly service really they are really open to get what you want. Their cold brew was great and refreshing not too much acidity like others. And the cool thing is if you don't know what you're going to get the offer great suggestions. One of the best lattes I've had in the northwest suburbs. The espresso is perfect - not too sour but still strong enough. No flavoring or sugar needed. The oat milk adds an extra oomph to it too. This place deserves more recognition and love! read more

There's a funny little sign when you pull up to the drive thru. 'What do you call a day with no coffee? Depresso. Who doesn't love a shop with a little humor? It's even better that the drinks are amazing. I always order the chai tea latte and it is so full of flavor. My hubs gets iced coffee each time. Although I'm not a huge coffee drinker, it is so smooth that I alway consider ordering one. The owner is super, super nice. We have even tried espresso shots, for free! The prices are comparable to that other coffee place. I however, much rather give my money to an independent business with a better product. read more

Love this place and couldn't find the nicest and friendly and passionate person as Enrique. Coffee,Tea, or smoothie, fresh and made with the Love that he has for his coffee and customers. Will continue to give him my business and pass it around. I'm a caregiver and wheelchair my friend around and he definitely makes her feel special ~~ because She is special! Nothing like a great latte on a gorgeous fall day! I was driving through the area and craving a good latte and Bubo did not disappoint! I work as a Barista during the summer but have been settling for the free starbucks on my college campus. It's safe to say i've had one too many bubbly, burnt, and boiling hot lattes lately. Bubo cured my good espresso drought. For a drive through place it still managed to have a lot of personality and my latte was delicious. Great art on top, perfect texture, and the espresso tasted amazing each sip was better than the last! You can really tell they care about the coffee here. I'll definitely be back soon! read more

Saw this spot when I first moved to IL about three years ago and knew I wanted to try it. Wasn't familiar with the area so I forgot where it was and had to search for it. Well worth it. Best cup of coffee around, Bulletproof with a little cinnamon. Awesome. Great customer service too- always happy and willing to answer any questions you have. Highly recommend. read more

EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!! EXCELLENT COFFEE!!!! . Tasty beans. The espresso has a bitter taste more so than a roasty taste. I guess Im used to starbucks and they supposedly burn their beans. I love Starbucks espresso, but only because it is my best option over Dunkin. Theses beans taste more like Dunkin or some other places Ive had. Intelligensia! Great to have this option on the way to work. Friendly customer service and convenient to get to on the west side of 59. My only concern was that the coffee was filled to the brim, so just driving, it was all over my car. Make sure you check this before driving off! read more

The best coffee you can get in the neighborhood! Enrique, the owner, frequently changes his choice of blends. It gives customers something to look forward to and helps expand your knowledge and library of coffee flavor profiles. As a chef, my understanding and appreciation of quality coffee has expanded over the last few months of visiting bubo. His nitro brew is my go to. It's so creamy, sweet, and deep even though there isn't any cream or sugar. read more

This is THE BEST coffee around....we no longer go to "The Evil Empire" aka Starbucks... If you want fabulous coffee and service with a Smile...BUBO is for you! It's worth the wait if the line is long...trust me! :) Everything on the menu is delicious--I like to start with a wheat grass shot or black coffee and finish off with a hot dirty chai...a quad hot latte is another favorite. I bought a large regular roast with cream one morning after a month of telling myself I had to try the place out. The coffee had really good taste and was fresh. I was in and out of the drive through within seconds. If you're heading south on 59, I recommend this place over the other available coffee selling establishments within proximity. read more

Great coffee with polite and prompt service Bubo coffee is in a little drive up coffee kiosk, that was once a LaVaza coffee, and then a scooby's express. This little place may have finally found the right business. Intelligentsia coffee is served, sometimes with with little mini donuts, and sometimes with muffins, but always with customer service. It is truly a pleasure to drive through this coffee stop, buy a cup of coffee, and have the proprietor care enough to remember my name. Even better, I have an alternative to Starbucks. If you are driving by the corner of route 64 and route 59, it takes only a moment to get a delicious pick-me-up in the morning. read more

I am so glad I finally tried this place. The owner was super great about teaching me his products and the Intelligentsia coffee was spot on. I have made bullet proof before, but this had great coconut oil, grass fed butter and a little cinnamon all for less than a specialty Starbucks drink. Will definitely be back read more

This is a cool little spot by 59 and North and the main reason I go is for the bulletproof coffee. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about coffee. It's not much more than Starbucks but the coffee is much better, tastier, non-burnt and piping hot. If this place was closer to work I'd go everyday, probably. Check it out! read more

I showed up right at closing time like a woman on a mission -- I had an emergency (yes, scone emergencies are real) because my friends were taking a painfully early flight and I needed to send them off with something that said, "Bon voyage, but with carbs." Not only was I greeted with kindness, but I was offered a delightful selection of scones like it was still mid-morning! The service? Superb. Compassionate. Possibly saintly. The shop itself is also a total gem -- cozy, welcoming, and full of great energy. It was very stiff, and the outside was turning to plastic. (Not literally, but it looked and felt like it.) I didn't finish that either. This place has a great menu, and I was initially looking forward to visiting more often once I start getting allergy shots at the clinic next door, but I will save my money and spend it at La Birria Loca down the block instead.

When I approached the counter no one acknowledged me so I said hi and an employee said hello back but didn't offer to take my order, so I assumed I needed to order at the tablet which is located before the seating and counter area. While placing my order, multiple people walked past me and ordered at the counter, so that was a little confusing. Those people were eating inside, though, so I thought maybe you need to use the tablet for take-out and order at the counter for eating in. To be honest, I'm still not sure. I assume if a person approaches the counter the employee should do more than just say hello and keep working, especially when I had to say it first, so that was a bit off-putting. I had perused their menu before my trip and wanted to try the breakfast pizza but when I saw it in person it looked old and dry so I decided to try the rice crispy treat instead. Well, it was so hard I had to microwave it when I got home just to be able to eat it. While it didn't taste stale, I don't think you should serve a rock hard rice crispy to someone and ask $4.50 to boot. All that said, the iced latte I ordered was exceptionally good, so I kept that in mind for the future. A few days ago I went back and ordered the same exact latte (via their app this time), just in a larger size. It tasted nothing like the one in January. Not only that, but after taking a sip and inquiring about getting some packets of sugar, I was told there were some around the corner from the counter. All I saw was fake sugar in packets and Sugar In The Raw in an open container with a spoon. Maybe I missed where the regular sugar was, I don't know. The whole area felt really disorganized and dirty which was a turn-off. For what they charge I expect fresher food and a consistent drink experience. I want to support small businesses but this place makes that hard. I won't be back.

I couldn't taste any whiskey at all, and when I ordered the barista had mentioned this (cooked off so you wouldn't taste it) so it was a decent vanilla latte. I'll give them props for a really cool unique flavor. We all grabbed our drinks and headed (back through the hallway) into the other room with the seating area. He even took some time to explain brewing techniques and recommended a scale that saved me $$, even though they did not stock it themselves. On receiving the order, there was a minor defect in a silicon gasket, and Eric immediately ordered a free replacement with Baratza. Despite living in San Francisco, I will recommend FGR for their great selection of artisan coffees and brew gear, excellent customer service that goes beyond lip service. I had bubo coffee for the first time today. It is honestly one of the greatest experiences of my life. It is a little shack just off of Illinois Route 59 but I've always wanted to stop there. I felt very welcomed when I pulled into the drive through and the coffee for the day was explained to me. The person working introduced himself and if he gave me free donuts since I had mentioned that it was my first time. I honestly do not see why anybody would go to Starbucks with such great coffee in the area. read more
