Amorino is one of my favorite places for a sweet treat! Their ice cream is incredibly delicious, rich, creamy, and full of flavor. I also highly recommend their Cortado coffee--it has a wonderful, rich taste and pairs perfectly with the gelato. Pistachio is my favorite. They offer different sizes of cones and cups, so there's something for everyone. If you're in the mood for something extra, don't miss their waffles--they're definitely worth trying. Though there are plenty of ice cream and frozen yogurt options in malls around America -- Finer gelato shops aren't as common to find. Fortunately Amorino Gelato is one of the better ones that I've run across. The decor here definitely looks much more elegant than the average frozen treat restaurant, with the different gelatos displayed in clean looking cases and premium machines visible making drinks. The menus and signage is all very elegant looking -- though the print on them is small enough it can be difficult to read at times. I really appreciate how the overall restaurant is colorful with food and signage, but is elegant rather than tacky. I do wish there was a bit more seating here, as the business gets rather busy but you may have to compete for somewhere to sit and enjoy your treat. The food unsurprisingly is very good. The gelato flavors are distinct with clean and fairly bold flavors made with good quality ingredients. I also tried the waffle here which was fairly light, crisp, and enjoyable. They are very generous with samples here and I enjoyed every flavor that I tried. Prices are fairly reasonable compared to similar establishments. Overall, worth a visit if you need a sweet treat within Woodfield Mall, particularly if you're looking for gelato in a rose shape in a cone. read more

Amorimo Gelato for the win! This has been a 3rd spot I've been to and the flavor and service has been consistent great. I prefer gelato over ice cream but love that they have sorbet flavors that I can mix a scoop in to counter the thick sweetness, it's a delight and I get easily addicted with. read more

Amorino Gelato is a gelato shop located in Woodfield Mall. My husband and I were walking around the mall looking for dessert when we almost literally stumbled upon this place. After trying a few samples, we decided to get a few scoops. We tried a waffle with two flavors of ice cream. The waffle was fresh, warm, and crispy while the gelato was cold and smooth. The gelato's flavor was rich and bold. There are many flavors to choose from. There is a nice seating area inside the cafe and just outside as well. I highly recommend Amorino Galato. read more

The blueberry cheesecake caught my eye when we were walking past. I mean all of them look so yummy and thick. I'm also interested in the tiramisu one. I found this place in Schaumburg at Woodfield mall. I do love some good gelato over ice cream any day and they had a wide selection of intriguing flavors. Ordering can become confusing. There is a kiosk in the back where you are supposed to put in your order, but the employee was taking orders at the counter also. I like that they have other deserts besides gelato. The gelato was priced about the same as other gelato shops. I opted to get a small cup with three flavors (black cherry, cinnamon biscotto, and dulce de leche). I sat down and indulged in small spoonfuls of rich creamy goodness. I could have ate a gallon of the stuff! Good gelato is hard to find and shops are far and few. It was my first time coming here. You order from the kiosk. Then, they call you and ask what flavors would you like. We were able to pick 4 since we ordered a large. It was good for sharing. They have a vast assortment of flavors to choose from. Large was close to $9. Quality was excellent. The employees serving us was very attentive and pleasant. It does get busy and crowded because you'll have people looking around as well as people waiting in the same area. I would suggest a more efficient way for waiting instead if everyone being huddled together. Not much seating inside or outside. read more

It is refreshing to see a new business at the Woodfield Mall. This gelato store is on the second level by the Swarovski store. There are seating set up outside the store as well as inside. You will make your order at the cashier or an ordering kiosk. When it is your turn, then you can share what flavors you want to select. As you can see, there are plenty of options. You can request samples to taste. I can't speak about the macarons, but the gelato was smooth and creamy. The mango one wasn't as sweet as I expected (which was great for my preference). There's only one cashier and one person serving, so the wait can be long. read more

Yay! Amorino Gelato is here in Schaumburg! Amorino is a gelato chain you will see everywhere in Europe. Last time we were in Downtown Chicago on Michigan Avenue, we were surprised and delighted to see one had opened there. Not long after, we saw another Amorino would soon be coming to Woodfield Mall, and now here it is! There are plenty of gelato flavors on offer, and some macarons as well. At European Amorinos they always seem to give you a "free" macaron with your scoop of gelato, but it looks like they make you pay for that bonus macaron topping here (but I guess gelato shops aren't a dime a dozen here... yet!). Also somewhat noteworthy is that you place your order via touchscreen kiosk. That said, there are still staff members working behind the counter to offer you samples if you aren't sure which flavor you want. Although we had just overeaten at dinner, we knew we still needed to get something from here. We decided on the tried-and-true lemon gelato along with blackcurrant. Both flavors are technically sorbets, so no lactose to worry about, if you do worry about such things. Treats always taste better while on vacation (and cold treats even better still when it's warm outside), but I think our gelato tasted nearly just as good as at the other Amorino locations! In short - you've gotta give it a try! If you like gelato, and live in the northwest suburbs, you will be thrilled to have Amorino so close to home. read more

I originally went to the one in Chicago and got an affogato, was delicious. It's a very popular gelato store, so do expect to wait in line on weekends and busy times. I was really happy to see that it opened in Woodfield. This time around I got fruity flavors, strawberry and mango, and it was delicious. One of the best gelatos I've ever had. My dad got the dark chocolate, it's literally like you're eating melted chocolate. Never had anything like that before. You have to order at the kiosk and then they'll call your name when it's your turn to order and you tell them your flavors. My sister said the cone didn't taste very good, but I didn't try it. We got the Large cone: Pistachio, hazelnut, tiramisu, milk chocolate. All the flavors were very creamy and rich. The pistachio and hazelnut were very nutty and not too artificial. Pistachio was by far my favorite. You ordered at the counter and then the employee makes the gelato into a rose right in front of you. What an adorable little gelato spot inside the mall! It's right across from Sephora. The gelato was delicious but I'd have to agree with some other posts about it being unclear where to order. I was looking at flavors and wanted to see the big menu so I happened to walk towards the back when I saw the two ordering kiosks. If I didn't walk back there I wouldn't have known and would've been standing there waiting. Besides that, the service was great and there are a TON of flavors to choose from! I got the classic signature cup which included a macaroon and that was a lot packed into the cup. I was told I could choose however many flavors I wanted but I chose two - lime and berries. I paid $11 and thought for what I got it was definitely worth the price. Will def be back! read more

Amazingly delicious. Stopped by this place after shop with my youngest. We had time to kill so we decided to check it out. Someone immediately asked if I wanted to try anything. I tried the lime basil only because it was above the pistachio. It was sorbet and so delicious that I got small to go with my classic size pistachio with a side of amereno. Wow, this just opened up inside Woodfield on the 2nd floor by Swarovski. Didn't even go to Woodfield for this and had no idea today was their opening day. I went needing to exchange something for my mom then we were walking around and came across this. I loveeeee gelato and Amorino didn't disappoint. Tons of different flavors and you can clearly taste the natural ingredients. They also serve different coffee creations and pastries as well. They have a system where you can order on one of the 2 self serve kiosks or at the register. They also do offer samples. My mom and I both got a small size and it was just enough for both of us. What's awesome about this place is that you can get as many flavors as you want as long as it fits in the size cup you order. My mom got Mango, Passionfruit and Coconut while I got Chocolate Hazelnut, Mint Chip and Coffee. The Chocolate Hazelnut was my favorite. You can clearly taste the fresh mint being used in the mint chip and the coffee gelato didn't taste artificial, you can also clearly taste the coffee bean. Great staff and great gelato. You can get a macaron on top of your Gelato as well if you want (might be an extra cost, I didn't ask for it) With how busy it was they seem to already be doing great. Today a shift supervisor Lisa refused to make me a coffee because she said that the coffee machine has been cleaned already. I was waiting in line for about 5 minutes and after that still was 3 minutes to close and then she told me that she won't serve me a coffee. She was rude and not nice, even didn't apologize for that. I wish there was a choice for half a star. We just had dinner out, and were looking for a place for dessert, and thought we found a gold mine when we saw there were SEVERAL dairy, egg, and nut free sorbets at this place, so we were excited to find it in the mall and get some. We showed up and were in awe of all the flavors and they looked good, BUT... Upon closer look at these selections, which by the way, were separate from the dairy items, which we thought was amazing. The reason we were excited was because we have a ton of food allergies and thought we found a new place, which is a rarity for this type of treat. Again, BUT... every single one was cross contaminated with dairy and nuts! There were several trays that were mixed with other ice creams/sorbets, blobs of things where they shouldn't be. The people that work here are SLOPPY as hell and do NOT care about cross contaminating!!! We saw someone come over with something they had already scooped with dairy, only to get some sorbet and swipe it right into the dairy scoop over and over, redipping the spatula in the sorbet. Someone else sprinkled nuts on top of another item, and they went ALL OVER a few of the sorbet trays in the cooler!!! DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES!!!! Waiting in line for 20 minutes at the Woodfield Mall location only to be told once reaching the counter that I needed to order at a kiosk in the back (no signs or any representatives pointing this out prior). Walked to back, placed order at kiosk, and immediately after another representative started taking orders at the counter I just left. Waited 10 minutes or so more before seeing multiple customers come and go and inquired about my order. Had to show proof of order on my phone. Then was told they were out of the container I ordered. Waited 10 minutes more or so before demanding a refund. I have been to Amorinos all over the world. I love their gelato, but this experience was so atrocious to don't think I'll ever return.
