Cute coffee shop kind of hidden in the alley of downtown Wheaton. There's no seating inside but there's a few tables outside. They are also connected to Tasty Biscuits which is nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. I ended up getting the horchata latte. The flavor was good, but it was kind of grainy for me and not as smooth. I felt like I couldn't keep my straw all the way at the bottom or all I would get would be the cinnamon/grainy texture. Might have to try s

I wanted to love this place but it was just fine for me. I really like where it's located, in an alley of downtown Wheaton. It reminds me of being in Chicago without city traffic, I dig it! Five and Hoek does not have indoor seating, however, they do have outdoor seating. Plus they are connected to Tasty Biscuits so you're able to grab a coffee then walk through to Biscuits to grab some food and utilize indoor seating there. The staff member that helped me was nice. I was indecisive about what to order and she was patient and helpful. I ended up going with the matcha latte which I enjoyed. Quality of the matcha was great. It was earthy and the real good stuff. Pricing here is on the higher side, my latte ended up being $9 due to an up charge of getting matcha and a non dairy milk.

Five & Hoek Coffee Shop has fast, super polite service and really great coffee. The inside has a cute, welcoming vibe, and pricing is comparable to other local coffee spots. I do wish there were a few more menu options, but overall it was a great stop and I'd happily go back.

This coffee shop is always really popular. There is always a huge line when I go but it moves pretty quickly. While in line place an online order for sassy biscuit next door. I would add a note that you are in line for the coffee restaurant so they look for you there if needed. It timed out pretty well for me. I tried the whisky vanilla hot latte. It had the perfect amount of sweetness. I would get this again!

Service was moderately quick with other orders in mind, baristas were friendly. Half of the entryway is a storage area not shown in video. Ordered the whiskey vanilla latte, but there not a palette with either flavor

Five & Hoek is a cute coffee shop located in a side alley along Main Street in downtown Wheaton. I came on a Saturday morning which was naturally extremely busy. The line was out the door with many other mobile orders also waiting for item pick up. I waited about 20 minutes to order my coffee and another 5-7 to have my items be ready. Why the 3 stars? Staff was hustling to make drinks around; but in turn, the girl helping people order switched to making drinks as I walked up. It becomes self-serve ordering when things get too busy. As a first timer, I had no idea where to find the right drinks on the ipad nor was able to get recommendations. On top of that, the chai was a bit too sweet for my preference and Whiskey Vanilla iced coffee wasn't anything I'd rave about. Maybe I ordered the wrong items but didn't love my experience enough to wait in line again.

Small shop, great coffee!! No seating and very minimal bakery options, so it is mostly a place to grab and go! It is attached to the sassy biscuit. You can enter through sassy biscuit, or go directly through the alley to enter the coffee shop. Large and small hot coffee options, one size only for cold coffees. Seasonal offerings!

Lovely coffee shop tucked into the alley with a little sign that points you off the main road so don't miss it! Has some seating outside. The staff are lovely and very patient. They have a roasting machine in house and also sell their own products including beans, kombucha, accessories/swag. I'm a fan of the aesthetics. The menu includes classic coffee options and some specific tea variety. They also had a seasonal menu and they all seemed very warm and interesting, some of which were alcoholic! I really wanted to try the BANANAS but they were out so I went with campfire cap which turned out to be a perfect pick me up for a cold afternoon with a nice marshmallow to end on. The campfire cap was smooth and felt like something between a mocha and a cortado. The espresso was rich and the chocolate wasn't too sweet, but the drink still felt foamy and light. I thought the marshmallow would melt into the drink more but I ended up taking small nibbles between sips.

Came in on a rainy day for some lattes and cappuccino. I got a iced bourbon latte and it was delicious but next time I will get it hot. My son got a chocolate shake and he enjoyed it even though a had a strawberry taste. My wife had the salted beer caramel hot and she enjoyed it but she thought it would have the nice design on top but it didn't and was served in a to go cup. My youngest son got a cappuccino but was upset because it was very little in the to go cup but the cappuccino was excellent. The girl who help us was nice. The place was on the side of the building or you can go in through the biscuit place.

When I approached the counter no one acknowledged me so I said hi and an employee said hello back but didn't offer to take my order, so I assumed I needed to order at the tablet which is located before the seating and counter area. While placing my order, multiple people walked past me and ordered at the counter, so that was a little confusing. Those people were eating inside, though, so I thought maybe you need to use the tablet for take-out and order at the counter for eating in. To be honest, I'm still not sure. I assume if a person approaches the counter the employee should do more than just say hello and keep working, especially when I had to say it first, so that was a bit off-putting. I had perused their menu before my trip and wanted to try the breakfast pizza but when I saw it in person it looked old and dry so I decided to try the rice crispy treat instead. Well, it was so hard I had to microwave it when I got home just to be able to eat it. While it didn't taste stale, I don't think you should serve a rock hard rice crispy to someone and ask $4.50 to boot. All that said, the iced latte I ordered was exceptionally good, so I kept that in mind for the future. A few days ago I went back and ordered the same exact latte (via their app this time), just in a larger size. It tasted nothing like the one in January. Not only that, but after taking a sip and inquiring about getting some packets of sugar, I was told there were some around the corner from the counter. All I saw was fake sugar in packets and Sugar In The Raw in an open container with a spoon. Maybe I missed where the regular sugar was, I don't know. The whole area felt really disorganized and dirty which was a turn-off. For what they charge I expect fresher food and a consistent drink experience. I want to support small businesses but this place makes that hard. I won't be back.

I had the pick two, which was a half a sandwich (grilled cheese) with a half salad (kale Caesar). The salad was so good! Fresh, crisp and lightly dressed. However, the grilled cheese was pretty sad. I opened it up and there was hardly any cheese. It was just like eating two pieces of grilled bread. They need to improve on that for sure. I also had their 12oz wildflower latte which was very tasty, but served lukewarm and not hot. If the milk is not steamed, it will bring down the temperature of the coffee. I like my specialty coffees served hot. I do have to say every staff member we came in contact with was friendly. They seemed happy and were there to help and answer questions. You place your order at the counter, and you receive a number which you display at your table. There are two dining areas with tables and a few booths to dine at next to where you place your order. Members of the staff bring your order to the table. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food. Even with the sad grilled cheese sandwich which was disappointing and the lukewarm latte, I would definitely go back to Blackberry Market again to try other items on their menu. I'll pass on the grilled cheese, though.

Scone Emergency = Joyful Triumph!…read more Let me tell you about these scones -- they're not just baked goods, they're buttery, crumbly little clouds of joy. Sweet, flaky perfection in every bite, with a variety of flavors so tempting it's honestly unfair to the other pastries in town. I showed up right at closing time like a woman on a mission -- I had an emergency (yes, scone emergencies are real) because my friends were taking a painfully early flight and I needed to send them off with something that said, "Bon voyage, but with carbs." Not only was I greeted with kindness, but I was offered a delightful selection of scones like it was still mid-morning! The service? Superb. Compassionate. Possibly saintly. The shop itself is also a total gem -- cozy, welcoming, and full of great energy. It's the kind of place where you want to linger, sip your coffee slowly, and pretend you're a local character in a charming indie film. The next morning, I enjoyed the outside with a fresh brew and a scone, soaking in the morning peace and feeling very pleased with myself. Meanwhile, my friends, in their sleepy travel frenzy, forgot their share of scones. TRAGIC for them. But also... YESSSS for me -- more buttery goodness to hoard enjoy! Moral of the story: come for the scones, stay for the kindness and the vibe. And if you're flying out early -- maybe forget a bag so you have an excuse to come back.
