Finally stopped by the brand-new Buc-ee's in Goodyear, and it definitely lived up to the hype! Yes, it was very busy, but that's expected for a new location. Despite the crowds, everything was well organized, the staff kept things moving, and the bathrooms were absolutely immaculate. The gas was only $3.53 per gallon, which was a great bonus. The food was fresh, and the three-meat sandwich was hands down my favorite--1000/10! The fountain drinks, Nug-ees, and chips were all delicious too. I even picked up the cutest pink Buc-ee's shirts. Overall, this is a fantastic stop whether you're passing through Arizona or heading to Sedona. Clean, friendly, well-stocked, and definitely worth the visit. I do plan to go back and expand my review after checking out all their merch and home goods etc! Came to see the craziness. Came by in a Friday afternoon and there were lines of people in both sides of the building waiting to go in. So we did not stop by. Then we came back on a Sunday morning at 4:30 and it was nice and empty but the beaver nuggets, brisket, taco,candied pralines, jerky, we tried the peppered jerky, lemon pepper, Korean barbecue, maple. Out of those, we only like the maple. Also purchased the milk chocolate cashews. They were nothing special. Also bought the gun drop looking sour candies. Those are good you like sour candies and they're kind of mushy after you bite them like jellybeans. At 5 AM people started coming in and started getting a little packed. This business willfully, blatantly, intentionally, and irresponsibly violates county, state, and federal health codes for food establishments, as well as the ADA and AzDA by discriminating against disabled people. Staff and management are aware, but they refuse to address it. This store does not seem to care at all about the health and safety of their customers, nor the cleanliness of their establishment. All of the employees need to be retrained on health codes, food handler protocol, and customer service. They KNOW they are in violation, but do not care. read more

I live in Goodyear finally had a chance to actually go there without it looking like the entrance to Disneyland and even so even the weekdays lately it's still packed people don't go to work for whatever reason I guess. So I have a receipt of three different trips there to try different things and I'll say the Carolina pulled Pork sandwich is my favorite, but their pastries cookies muffin scones are really disgusting. They are not using quality ingredients. Really disappointing when they take so much care in their meats and they just ignore the quality of the pastries. I tried an oatmeal raisin cookie on earlier very early trip, a chocolate chip cookies, a scone, a blueberry muffin and cranberry orange muffin, and they really just taste generic full of crap when they could just use really good ingredients. The Carolina pulled pork is my favorite sandwich, $6.99. The Big Buckin Brisket sandwich is a $14 sandwich has a lot of meat on it. It is good very tender. The fudge tried two pieces, Rocky Road and chocolate pecan fudge both really good. Tried small bag of glaze cashews, heavy on the glaze, ok too. What I really love is a 16 pound bag of ice for $1.99. No one beats this price! Bought gas twice, most of the pumps near the actual building will have cars parked, not getting gas, people inside shopping. To sum it up, it's a massive souvenir shop with lots and lots of snacks, junk food, and some good meat sandwiches, and no, none of the meat is cooked on site! Very odd to me. We drove approximately 45 minutes to visit this location and had several items we planned to purchase. While the cashier was scanning our merchandise, Supervisor Wesley walked over and began talking to him in the middle of our transaction. Because the cashier was distracted, he lost track of what he had already scanned and began scanning some of our items again. My husband calmly said, "Hey, you already scanned that." Instead of simply checking the transaction and correcting the mistake, Wesley immediately became defensive and hostile. He accused us of being aggressive, ordered us to leave the store, and called the police. We were not yelling, threatening anyone, or causing a disturbance. We were only trying to prevent being charged twice for the same merchandise. We believe we were racially profiled and treated as though we had done something wrong simply for questioning a duplicate charge. Wesley continued trying to argue with us instead of calmly reviewing the register or listening to what had happened. His behavior escalated a situation that he helped create by interrupting and distracting the cashier. Because of this, we were kicked out and unable to purchase our items after driving 45 minutes to visit the store. This was embarrassing, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. I am requesting that Buc-ee's corporate management preserve and review the surveillance footage from the date and time of this incident, including the checkout area and our interaction with Supervisor Wesley. I would also like the register transaction reviewed because it should show that an item was scanned more than once. Employees should be able to question a possible duplicate charge without being accused of aggression, removed from the store, or having the police called on them. Buc-ee's needs to investigate Supervisor Wesley's behavior and address how customers are being treated at this new Goodyear location. read more

Visited this Buc-ee's this morning. Gas was 10 cents more than gas at Sam's Club in Tempe. $3.59 for 87 octane regular. Pump 243 did not have any receipt paper in it. Not sure how often they check these but this morning I got no receipt. Inside is huge. Bathrooms clean, locking stalls, hand sanitizer available in the stall which is great. Store was crowded so didn't get in any lines to buy anything. Quite a collection of people in there so hanging around people watching could have been rewarding on a number of levels. I first heard of Buc-ee's in 2024, but it was not until the summer of 2025 that I visited a location in person during a trip to Florida. Imagine my delight to learn shortly after that one was being built a stone's throw away in Goodyear! I first visited this Buc-ee's location on opening day around 11pm. Though it was a true madhouse, I was able to snag everything I was looking for and then some. While I won't say that their barbecue sandwiches are as good as other local joints, I will concede that you are getting an absolute great deal for what they are providing. In addition to barbecue, fudge, and a seemingly infinite amount of snacks throughout the store, they also have a vast selection of merch sporting their mascot's face on it. If you look beyond the beaver's sparkling eyes and buck teeth, you'll find fairly good quality clothing at a fair price. They have a section of the store dedicated to home decor and giftable items. Really, if you've never been to a Buc-ee's, you have to see it to believe it. I am a beaver believer! read more

Buc-ee's sets the standard for what a gas station should be. The place is pretty well kept for the amount of traffic that comes by, especially since its new to AZ each time I went it was pretty packed. The staff is friendly and efficient, and there are more food and snack options than most restaurants. The brisket sandwiches are worth the stop, the fresh fudge and pastries are excellent, and the bathrooms are hands-down the cleanest you'll find on the road. The fuel pumps are plentiful, so the lines move quickly even when it's busy. Whether you're just filling up or taking a break on a long trip, Buc-ee's turns a routine stop into something you'll actually look forward to. I absolutely love how they have so many things to buy from cups, shirts, jackets, toddler and baby clothes, even bathing suits! The beef jerky is also yummy and they have many options for drinks. What a madhouse! Going there late at night, there must have been 200+ people there on a weekday... Maybe they're the greatest deal in down, but the drivers are absolutely crazy made much worse by the novelty of this store, reputedly the second-largest in their system. Buc-Ed's apparently brings out the worst in drivers, especially if they're "competing" for one of the Handicap spots (we actually had someone come with a hair's thickness of hitting us as we were pulling into one of the slots. I'd post their picture, but instead, have chosen one of their spokesanimals. Selection: surprisingly, for this size of store, they don't have a huge drink selection, and a lot of those were off-name brands... and few of the popular energy drinks. The food? Didn't try any of the hot food as there was a line that snaked all over the store and out the door. Crazy. Nice of Buc-ee's to provide the live entertainment, especially the people who would picked bagged smacks, eat them in line, and pretend that no one noticed when they drop the empty plastic bag on the floor. Good day my yelpers, So let's get this started with why I rated Buc-ees a 3 star rating on opening day 6/22 We live 10 minutes away from the massive, famous, beaver loving gas station that everyone so ever talks about. Driving there 7/10 enjoyable with friends and family while listening to music. Yes! is the loop around to get to buc-ees annoying ? yes, but it ensures that everyone has a fair chance to see the place. Parking 10/10 there are plenty or spaces with people constantly coming in and out. Inside 5/10, unable to walk around, it was too hot inside, and we couldn't see everything and only experienced half of the store because of how over crowded it was. Food this where I'm extremely disappointed. 2/10 Brisket and pulled pork are supposed to taste smoky packed with flavors. Driving into Buc-ees you are absolutely not welcomed into that smokey smell from the meat and brisket smoking. The brisket tasted like chemicals, that usually happens when the wood is burning faster than the cooking process and or not being smoked properly and yes I get it .. it was extremely busy and you're just trying to get the brisket out of the smoker or whatever process y'all use but come-on. Pulled pork sandwich 6/10 brisket sandwich 0/10 and too fatty! The value and overall experience was a 6/10 the prices were reasonable for what we got 2 shirts, beaver plush, nuggets, soda, tea, cinnamon pull apart, and 2 sandwiches all under $105. Stopped by Buc-ee's while in town visiting with friends. Finding parking was not the easiest being it is a fairly newly opened location, but definitely worth it. Their Halloween section is also worth checking out. I was sad because they were sold out of a lot of the personalized items they sell. Their bathrooms were huge and well kemp. I would come here again and buy some tasty beaver nuggets and their brisket. Due to how hectic it was we didn't get to try them. read more

I went to visit my sister in Arizona and she so happens to live 6miles away from the newly open Buc-ees so of course we had to check out the most westward location and 2nd largest to date. We got lucky when we went as it wasn't too busy. We filled up gas as we were heading to the lake. The price of gas is relative to other gas stations. We went inside to check it out. Most of the shelves were stocked. There was a lot of staff maintaining the store and offered help if we needed. I was able to try their famous beaver nuggets. It's like caramel popcorn without the annoying popcorn shells getting stuck in your teeth. They are good, but not my favorite. With the amount of items offered I was bound to find something I liked. It was the dark chocolate cookies and cream overbite for me. I would pick them up again. I'm glad I checked out Buc-ees in Arizona and would definitely visit other Buc-ees in other states. read more

Out of stater who decided to pop in and see what the hype was about while visiting family in AZ. First of all, people park in line at the gas station and then go shopping! Not just one car, the majority! It's wild to think there isn't someone enforcing a rule that the gas line is to get gas not free shaded parking! I'm sure on a normal day the store is nice to wander around but we walked into a billion people each buying a lot of junk food. It was almost comical. It summed up consumerism in the US. I've never been to one. My family's never been to one. We've been waiting to go to the one in Arizona. I came for a visit. Let me just tell you this is the most chaotic thing I've ever seen in my entire life. We arrived probably around 7 PM on a Saturday in July. There were so many people inside. Think of it as two or three Costco warehouse is put together it's massive. In the middle is a Texas food bar that has chopped brisket and chopped pork sandwiches as well as fried chicken and other fresh foods. It's all grab and go so you just need to get in the line and grab it and go, there's no ordering you take it up to the cashier to pay they also had jerky which had a line that wasn't moving to swiftly. There's another area for roasted nuts. And then they have all kinds of other snacks and candies and merchandise. My mom said the restroom was phenomenal, which is a good thing. I think the XXL brisket sandwich was $6.99. It was massive. We were able to park out front in one of the handicap spots. I think there's parking around the back. But also people tend to pump gas and then walk in which I don't recommend. Bring your patience and your manners cause it's a little crazy inside. read more

This place is an experience. Lots to see and buy! We lucked out and came when there wasn't a line out the door even though, by the time we left, there was. The chopped brisket sandwich was so tender, a generous portion, and delicious with barbecue sauce already mixed in (which they sell separately in bottles). The extra large fountain drinks are only 99 cents. They have pre-packed beef jerky as well as a deli style area where you can try each flavor, mix and match, and buy them in your desired quantity. The kettle cooked jalapeño Buc-ee's chips were flavorless but had a good crunch to them. Everyone said to get the Beaver Nuggets, which we got but haven't yet tried. There were a lot of flies buzzing around inside and a good amount of trash on the floor, but they were incredibly busy. Ralph at the beef jerky counter was so friendly and patient as we sampled each flavor. Other employees also were eager to help us and share their recommendations for what to buy. The pork had gristle big pieces of hard gristle in it and it was salty. The turkey was dry. Two much pepper. Peach cobbler you can't even taste the peach All you taste is sugar. I have never experienced a Buc-ee's so didn't quite understand the hype. Buc-ee's is no joke. Employees were on point greeting us as you walked in and at each station. A a first timer it was a bit overwhelming. This place has everything, talk about one-stop shopping. My main goal was to get the brisket macaroni and cheese but that's not available until 10:30 and we got there at 8:00. We instead got brisket tacos and they did not disappoint. Delicious! The shelves were fairly well stocked, employees were writing orders and filling shelves the whole time. Great prices on clothing, food, and misc items. We were easily there over an hour. I heard the bathrooms were impeccably kept, I forgot to check them. If you're traveling, this is the place to go to, if you're in the area stop by and check it out. Worth your time. As my dad put it, this is a phenomena. He said he has never experienced anything like trying to get to this store. A week after opening and it still feels like opening day. Roads were blocked with police directing cars into a miles long line that loops back into the Buc-ee's parking lot. The roadwork signs even said "Buc-ee's traffic," which was definitely an I told you so moment for me. During the detour we passed the Spirit Airlines boneyard. My dad is big into planes and actually wanted to find it while visiting us in Arizona, so that made the drive worth it for him. After the long detour off the freeway, we finally reached the Buc-ee's parking lot. Then there was a line to get inside because the store was at capacity. Once we were inside, we made a straight line for the brisket in the center of the store. Back in the day, around 2009, KFC used to sell a pulled pork sandwich that I was obsessed with. It had a lot of nostalgia tied to my gaming life, and when they discontinued it I was devastated. Well, no more. We tried the brisket and the pulled pork sandwich. The amount of meat they pack into the sandwich is very yummy and competitive. The value is in the flavor and the ingredients. I wish I bought several to take home since it was a two hour drive one way. My mother in law said it was to die for good. The snacks were yummy too. We tried the Beaver Nuggets, which taste like caramel popcorn without the popcorn shape. Light, sweet, and easy to snack on. The roasted almonds, cashews, and walnuts were delicious. Great food, prices and a good stop. But on the weekends, the weekend they definitely need an attendant at the pumps. Nearly impossible to get gas. Man! All of the reviews are right! We pulled in on a Sunday- not a parking spot available! Gas pumps were all full as well. I've never witnessed hysteria like this. We came away with bbq sauce, bbq seasoning, ASU merch, Buc-ee's merch... and the grub! Don't get just one, you need two! That is the famous brisket sandwich. Stopped by to make an EXCHANGE on a belt my husband purchased the night before that was too big. He was not able to try on in store due to the belt having the security strip, which is not the issue, when we returned this morning to exchange, the first cashier who informed us about the exchange policy said we would be able to do it and we trusted her word and shopped around as they didn't have another belt in his size that he liked. Once we got to check out this is where the issue started. The team member named Kenneasha stated we were not able to exchange it as it was "unsellable" because the belt was worn. We explained to her the that it was only tried on and she still denied us the exchanged due to the belt being "bent". In less than 24hrs our experience here took a negative turn. How does a store expect to sell belts without trying on and then deny an exchange when customers need to make an exchange due to incorrect sizing. Our first two visits were great with great customer service but as Sunday morning and afternoon their staff was no long friendly and welcoming. Maybe some retraining on customer service is needed for this new location because promoting a happy Texas bbq experience is not doing well in Arizona. read more
