Busy parking lot but plenty of spots. Just be patient and look out for pedestrians buried in their phones walking around. We ordered our takeout order online that morning and scheduled a 4pm pickup. Our order was packaged and ready at 4:25pm. Staff was nice but no apologies for the food being late. Bright flavor from the lemon sauce and briny capers. Chicken was juicy and had great texture. I definitely would order again. Everything else I would not order again. Very very bland favor. Nothing special or remarkable. If this was made at home during the week and you had to have food on the table in 20 minutes to feed your family then ok.. I hadn't been to a Bucca Di Beppo in years years. My cousin and his wife like to get together every few months for a meal. This location was kinda in the middle for everyone that was coming. We got to use the "Pope" room. I thought it was interesting as it was a tribute to Pope John Paul II. Growing up catholic like I did it was definitely something different. We order a caprese salad to start. It was good and had a nice balance with the balsamic vinegar, basil and mozzarella cheese. We also got spaghetti and meat balls, rigatoni with meat sauce, fiery shrimp without the fire ( some in our group were to Minnesotan) and some Alfredo. Overall the food was great and initially appeared to not be enough we had some for everyone to take home. The service was great and very attentive. Manager Deb was enthusiastic and passionate to help surprise my dad for his 70th birthday party. It was a later dinner reso, but the staff couldn't have been kinder and more caring. They were a part of the ambiance - it was so fun celebrating with them! We got the trio platter, garlic bread, and Caesar salad for apps. We had the chicken Marsala, and big bowls of lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, fettuccine Alfredo, and chicken parmigiana. All was Buca delicious and so perfect! Considering all that had to be made at once, it came out piping hot and cheesy! We also got the rum punch bowl which was a festive way to add to the celebration. Not worth the price for the family portion that is promoted stating it feeds 3-4 people on three chicken breast per dish. The chicken limone didn't equal to three chicken breast, paying $12.66 per chicken breast is really ridiculous. Unless you want to pay a very high price for mediocre food then come to Bucca. Never ordering from here again. We order from here today because my husband got a BOGO but even with the discount I feel like I was ripped off. $37.99 before tax per entrée, including one bread for the side per entree. Buca is such a classic spot for my family on big occasions! We always come here and share the salad, breadsticks, and spicy chicken rigatoni pasta. For big celebrations, we've ordered the chocolate cake and it's OMG delicious :) The price is a little steep, but it is family-size! The Prosciutto Stuffed Chicken was a favorite but it's seemed quite salty the last few times. Then we decided to try it again last Fall and this time it lacked flavor. Even the pesto sauce looked less green compared to before. They are a franchise so I'm surprised the food has been so inconsistent. We really loved it the first 2 times we had it about 4 years ago. The other items we had were fine, better than Olive Garden but I wouldn't consider it worth the money they charge. For some items the portion sizes have got smaller too. The colossal brownie is HUGE! Two of us ate majority of it but if you are craving something sweet and don't want to eat it all yourself then I think 4 people could share this. I would pay the $20 for it, plus it's kind of a wow factor if you wanted to treat someone to it because of its size. Or sign up for emails and get a free one on your birthday! Love that they give free bread. I personally like the vinegar and oil for dipping versus the oil and seasonings. Typically, the servers are great. They check on us, plates are removed from the table, efficient. We've only had one bad service there. Also we love the atmosphere. It's so much fun. Fyi: your order normally takes a little longer than the estimated timing. We recently ordered and found a 4 for $40 deal (we picked Spaghetti w/ marinara, Cesar salad, garlic bread). We added a large eggplant parmigiana, because it's our favorite. We asked for them to make it crispy and they did well! We order a ton of food, due to the fact we want leftovers and they always taste good reheated. Overall, we crave these items from time to time and get them! Other items I like: Penne Rosso and the Brussel sprouts. The white sauce pastas never seem to have enough salt or garlic (shockingly!). We loved Buca's! We ordered the Margherita pizza and the cheese manicotti! The flavors were perfect, and I loved the sauce! We loved the rainbow cake too, it was so beautiful and also delicious. The food has changed over the decades in a downward spiral. That being said, the food wasn't the worst part of my lunch visit. The server was brusk and acted like he had something better to do than serve the diners. Before I could finish asking questions and completing my entire order, he had turned on his heels and walked away. While I understand the throwback decor of Bucca, I hate it. The decor is dingy, ugly, cluttered and claustrophobic. There are no windows in any of the dining areas. Back to the food, the lasagna was overcooked and dry as Stonehenge meets Chef Boyardee. Used to be great. My family has been going to Buca for 20 years and it has always been our go-to for celebratory dinners; great food, great atmosphere, phenomenal service. Well, I'm incredibly disappointed to say, it has gone waaaaay downhill. First thing's first: they changed their menu. They got rid of the manicotti, which was by far their best dish. In general, there are less vegetarian options than there used to be. It also used to be a completely nut-free menu (according to my nut-allergy-ridden sister), but now there's hazelnuts on the tiramisu (risk for cross-contamination is an issue). The mashed potatoes used to be delicious, thick, and garlicky; today they were thin, bland, and watery. Service recently has been incredibly slow even when they're not busy. Buca has always been a spendy choice for a meal, but the food used to be more than worth the price. Now, we're sorry to say that we won't be going back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else either. read more

I'm glad Buca is in Maple Grove, it's cool to have them as an option. They provide a fun dine in experience for date night, special occasions or large groups. Feels like the more you eat here the better you get at ordering when thinking about the family style menu, although I did notice there are single options now, not sure if that's new or not. I like some things a lot and others not very much. Chopped Antipasti Salad is awesome, prob my favorite thing on the menu. Very satisfying and great flavor. The Caesar Salad is kind of disappointing, really just romaine with some croutons and their packaged Parmesan cheese. Chicken Parmesan is really good, chicken is juicy and works well as left overs. Spaghetti with meat sauce is boring and all noodles, maybe I should try the meatballs instead. Chicken carbonara is Ok, I've had the chicken kind of tough and other times really fresh, hit or miss I guess. Baked Rigatoni is great, one of my faves. Lots of stuff on this menu, definitely somewhere to visit more than once. read more

Last nights take out dinner concluded to me that this place either wasn't great before, or may have once been great, but is not great these days. The good: my order of Shrimp Fra Diavolo was good and indeed spicy. Shrimps were the tiny variety, and some were great, others overcooked. The Spaghetti & Meatballs was acceptable to a child's palate, but not mine. Aside from the meatball, tender and seasoned well. The pasta was +2min beyond al dente. The cellentani Mac and cheese was perfect. My daughter enjoyed it and the carefully snuck tastes I managed made me want more. Excellent pasta bite. The not too bad: the salads; a Caesar Salad and Apple Gorgonzola Salad were large. The Caesar wasn't all that. Being a take out thing was likely the issue, not being able to correctly toss it was noted. The dressing was gritty. The Gorgonzola was better, and it certainly was attractive. As well as tastier. The crisp green apples were nice. The BAD. The crappy bread. If butter had been provided that meant something. Needing some olive oil and perhaps balsamic certainly would've been nice. But this crust wasn't something made in house, and probably not something baked recently I'd gamble. An Italian place outsourcing bread is a cardinal sin. Particularly when it's supposed to be thought authentic to Italy, at least having the silly Popes Table suggests intent. I don't know. Italian, like French, these cuisines demand a bread that isn't outsourced from factory. read more

I ordered the spicy and garlic mixed wings and drums, which was 100% plus they stayed very crisp and fresh tasted up to 5 hours after I bought them. Now the reason why I give a 3 star was because the other dish was very lacking in taste . The bibimbap was nasty and I am saying this from an experienced Korean dish eater from other Korean restaurants and me making that dish at home tasted way better to. Pros: family style offerings, big portion sizes, food came pretty quickly Cons: good bit overpriced, average quality and taste I get the whole family style deal, but I feel like there is a big tradeoff with quality that happens in this case. I ordered quite a bit more then we needed, but I figured you can never go wrong with pasta left overs! I grabbed their Entree feast & pasta feast which comes with salad, pasta, and garlic bread! I choose Spicy Chicken Rigatoni, Fettuccine Alfredo, Cesar salad, and a mixed greens! It was definitely a fun and filling evening! I do wish the Alfredo came with chicken or broccoli or something.
