I came here for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised by the lunch specials. I ordered the baked rigatoni, which came with a side salad and garlic bread for $14. The pasta came out piping hot and delicious. It was a fairly big portion size, and could easily be split into 2 portions if you're looking for leftovers. I also love the atmosphere of Buca. With the pictures scattered all throughout the restaurant, it feels like you're walking into a family's house. The pictures provide a feeling of nostalgia, as if there was a family displaying their memories. My main complaint from my visit was the time spent waiting for my entree. The restaurant was fairly empty, but it took a while for my salad to come out, and even longer for my entree to arrive. It could have been the day that I went, but I would've expected faster service for a day that wasn't very busy. read more

I had no idea that this was a family style restaurant. The bulk of the menu is made up of portions for parties of 3-4 to share. We adapted and found something appropriate for the 2 of us thanks to our server's recommendation. The food was great. The garlic break however has way more garlic chunks than I expected. We literally scraped a spoonful off each piece. But it was still delightful. The restaurant is very Sopranos Italian. And it is very large. I don't believe I saw all the available seating from where we sat. We will be back though. read more

Very beautiful restaurant inside. It's a family style restaurant so make sure you can not alone, because all dishes are for 3-6 people. We ordered lasagna, broccoli and Caesar salad. Salad was delicious, so was complementary bread. Broccoli came out too soft, not crunchy at all, so I wouldn't recommend it. Lasagna was very lean, which is good, but dough was extremely overcooked, very soft. It's alright for one time experience, but not sure if would come back for overcooked pasta. Highly recommend Buca for holiday dining. Not only do they have superb holiday offerings for Thanksgiving and Christmas, you can also order off the full regular Italian menu and have the best of both worlds! It's all family-style (or friends!) shareable dishes. Prices vary of course, but you couldn't ask for a better ambiance with the eclectic mix of Italian photos, signs, lights, artifacts and more adorning every inch of every wall in the restaurant. This restaurant provided family style Italian Dining. You will definitely leave full as the portions are very generous. In addition the service is usually prompt and friendly. The strong dishes that we had on this visit were the Caesar Salad, cheesy garlic bread, Meatballs, and shrimp scampi. The salad was very fresh and the dressing very flavorful. The bread was nicely toasted generously cheesy and just the right hint of garlic. The meatballs were very bountiful, meaty, flavorful, and served with a dollop of ricotta which is always a nice touch. The shrimp scampi was prepared nicely and served with a large bed of pasta. The less strong dishes were the Chicken Lemon which was dry and almost flavorless. The rigatoni dish was very bountiful but had a very strange taste. Overall, it is a convenient venue for a special occasion with a large party. If you have ever been to Carmines or Magianos, and expect a similar experience, you'll be disappointed but in my opinion it is worth a try. read more

Went here with a party of five. There are lots of pictures all over the walls has a nice Italian look on the inside. We ordered family style portions, which consisted of Caesar salad, breadsticks, fried mozzarella Capri salad. Fettuccine Alfredo and cheese ravioli with meat sauce. The food was mediocre. I had to ask for extra Alfredo sauce, which took about 15 minutes to come to the table. We also had to request some extra Caesar dressing. The waiter was nice, but he also seemed like he had a lot of tables to keep up with so it made our service not so good. It seemed like the other people that were sitting in our section. Had to wait for him to come back as well. The prices I feel were kind of high for the quality of food that we received. I probably won't be back. I enjoy Olive Garden a lot better. But it was a restaurant that we have not done that before and my family and I had a great time. read more

Everything is drenched in oil. If you don't mind oil in literally everything, then you'll probably enjoy this place. We ordered the salmon with pesto, chicken with potatoes, stuffed shells, and salad. The only thing not completely drenched in oil was the bread that they brought out, but they gave us oil to dip it in. ha! Our server was good; we were seated in a great spot until someone sat beside us with a screaming kid. Not the restaurant's fault, but it sucked to listen to a screaming kid the entire meal. I won't return; it's just not a place I enjoyed to dine at. Our bill was $140 plus tip, so close to $200, which is typical these days, but not worth it taste wise. read more

I ordered to go on the holiday weekend and I suspect the food and service was similar to what you would receive if you dined in. The chicken piccata and broccoli was the quality you would find in a frozen dinner. The chicken did not have much sauce and the majority of the dish was partially cooked broccoli. I used an online coupon but the quality was not a meal I would have ordered even with the discount. The apple gorgonzola salad had plentiful cheese but under the toppings I had an abundance of white lettuce which I do not like. I removed the white lettuce and ended up with half a salad. read more

I used to love this place back in the 2000s when I'd eat at the Florida Mall location. It was consistently fresh and delicious back then. Fast forward to today: we ordered a BOGO chicken parmesan with a side of spaghetti for delivery and it was downright awful. The chicken's coating had a bizarre, almost sickly-sweet flavor -- and that was about the only flavor in the entire dish. The pasta was practically naked; there was barely any sauce at all, leaving it dry, bland, and completely unappetizing. We couldn't even finish it because it was literally inedible. It's a disgrace how far this place has fallen. What used to be a reliable favorite has become bottom-of-the-barrel slop. We won't be back -- and I'd strongly recommend anyone else think twice before wasting their money here. read more

How do I even get this explained ? My friends birthday and we decide to go this establishment. My friends a bigger boy so the booth we were offered was too tight. Asked a server there if we could sit at an open table not a booth. Immediately she had an attitud. "There are no tables here I'll have to see if I can find you a spot." This restaurant was practically empty. We arrived around 4pm for an early dinner, so there was absolutely no crowd in this fairly big restaurant. Anyway, she finally leads us to a wrap around booth. I'm not sure this will be any better but she says she needs to clean off the table. I noticed a large pool of liquid and ice on the seat and simply tried to bring it to her attention because her back was to the seat. She got immediately defensive and snapped "I told you i was gonna clean the table." I told her she had a nasty attitude and we were leaving. She said so leave and I definitely cursed at her. Cant say I didn't , but her nastiness and rudeness was really overboard and I was extremely frustrated at her behavior. She proceeded to curse me out and even followed us to the exit still cursing at us and calling us names. Truly a wonderful example of what not to do at work. I should have spoken to the manager and tbh my friends wanted to, but at this point I preferred to just leave this nasty restaurant and it's foul mouthed employees to themselves. read more

They were so quick with making it, and as I sat on the bench waiting for my Uber Jesse, one of the EGM insured that I have been helped and offered me a drink as I wait. Pretty rough flavorless expensive food. I would bet $20.00 that if you went into the kitchen it's just a wall of microwaves and a kid pushing cook buttons with Sysco boxes laying around. Server was strangely fast at our table as though we may have had some type of communicable disease. The guy that sat us was even faster he tossed the menus down and was walking away before anyone had even sat down. Had to box our own mountains of leftover food up with the hopes of adding some seasoning the next day during a leftover meal. The restaurant had the feel of a 192 flea market but I kinda like that, but it may not be for everyone. If this restaurant had to depend on locals Im 100% sure it would have closed years ago. Then there's Steven, the manager, who casually swooped in to check on us like he was auditioning for Best Supporting Role in a Birthday Dinner. Honestly, he nailed it.
