I'd recommend getting extra herb ranch dressing on the side because it can be a little sparingly and the ranch is amazing. Add on the avocado too! I haven't been here in more than a decade, but gave them another shot on a busy Saturday night. We were a party of three who waited at least 30 minutes for our table. Communication was not great. Once we were sat, our server did very quickly get our drink orders. I was immediately disappointed as the restaurant seemed quite dirty. Some tables had been moved to make a larger table for one party, and there was clearly food debris and trash on the floor, but no one had bothered to clean up. We ordered our food and we were offered complementary bread, which was actually pretty good. We were grateful as we were quite hungry. The pizza and salad we ordered were OK, nothing spectacular but not the worst either. The disappointing thing was we waited forever... I think it took 40 minutes after ordering for our food to arrive. Tables that arrived after us all received their food before us. Our server was very apologetic, but offered us zero in the way of compensation. A free dessert offer would've gone a long way. It's been ages since I've been to a CPK. In my hay days, CPK was the it restaurant. Not sure why I haven't been to one lately, but I saw they had a great Veteran Day promotion (free entrees for Veterans) so I took my Dad and Bro here. So glad that we went. The restaurant is very clean and the food was fantastic! Veterans had a fixed menu to choose from. My dad got Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and my brother, spaghetti with beef. I ordered the salmon picantti and my mom, just pea soup. All the dishes were so good along with warm bread. Now why I did give 4 stars versus 5 stars. 2 reasons: 1) Wait services. Our waiter is actually provided good service when he is at the table but when he is not, it took forever for him to come around especially when it is time for the bill to come around. The restaurant was not packed. It could be not enough waiters on shift. So I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. 2) Very loud. The restaurant is located inside the Millennium Mall so the loud sound comes into the restaurant. Not really CPK fault but it decreases the ambiance food experience. Overall, CPK food is still da bomb after all these years and I'll definitely visit more often. read more

Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Iris was our server during this visit. She promptly took our orders and got our drinks, bread, and food to us in a reasonable time. She even checked in to make sure we didn't need anything. I had the Steak House Salad and the Fresh Strawberry Mango Cooler. The salad was delicious and filling. My mom and I went here for lunch while out shopping. CPK always delivers IMO. The mall was busy but we didn't have a wait which was nice. We both ordered salads. Their salads are spot on every time I've gone. They put us in a little two seater booth which I thought was cozy. Mom and I tried to nonalcoholic drink they had. I tried to google the name it's the one with the edible flowers. It is SUPER SWEET. It does get a little better once it waters down but I won't be getting it again. I always fell a little fancy dining here, even for lunch. The decor and style of CPK always made me feel a bit classy. The service at this location is always on point. Our waiter took very good care of us. My guest and I got lunch combos and tried a few different things. I got the Thai chicken salad and the tortilla soup. The salad had delicious crisp greens with a lovely peanut dressing and juicy chicken. The soup was perfectly spiced, warm and hearty. My guest got the cauliflower crust mushroom pizza and tomato basil soup. The pizza was light, but still flavorful and crispy. The soup was hearty and fresh with a lovely basil finish. Came here for dinner--it was not packed at all; maybe 5 tables total were occupied. We were seated promptly and then stayed seated without any drinks or acknowledgement for about 15 minutes. After a total of 40 minutes, our waiter asked us if we were ready for the check and if we wanted to-go cups for our drinks. I informed the waiter we never even got our food that we had ordered 25 minutes earlier. His response was "oh, you haven't?" (Clearly, he never came to the table to check up on us and know). After approximately 5 minutes, the waiter comes back to tell us that there is an issue with the kitchen staff and that "apparently the chef can't read your order so he had to remake one of the orders but the rest of the food has just been sitting there." I asked the waiter if he could bring the food for the rest of the table and informed him that I would wait for the other portion of the food. The waiter immediately came back with the food but had the entire order. The pizzas (three) were overly cooked. The pizza that the chef couldn't "read" and had to remake, was extremely cold (so there's no way it was just remade like told by the waiter). Super disappointed because I've been to several different California Pizza Kitchen locations and have NEVER experienced the service or food in this manner. For an appetizer, we got the chicken pot stickers. They are absolutely delicious. They were perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce and were easy to share amongst our group of three. To drink, I got the blueberry lemon drop martini. It was fresh, zesty, and sweet. It was well balanced and well worth the order. For my entree, I chose the new Neapolitan burrata pizza. While I love burrata, the execution of the dish wasn't my favorite. While I appreciate that burrata is best cold, the large cold pieces on the pizza made the whole thing cold and wet. The toppings fell right off the crust. It was tasty, but the texture and temperature were not ideal, largely due to the burrata. My number #1 place to eat at The Mall at Millenia. I have been here countless of times and I just want to give a shoutout to this place especially from yesterday's visit. This was my birthday week so my wife and I was celebrating it I love the location at this mall. It's located in the back part of the mall where you can park almost anywhere and enter here for a dinner. This place is always clean and has a nice lighting for a dinner with loved ones and friends. My server was Marissa. This was one of the best servers I have met in general in any establishments. Her customer service was on point. The restaurant wasn't full, so I noticed that she was always attentive to all her guest. Almost like a long ping pong rally. She did not stop working. She was very friendly and inviting to talk to. As soon as we sat down, she brought the bread with oil right away. This was the first time this ever happened and we were pleased with this. Thank you Marissa for a great start for the dinner. To start, My wife and I always get the chicken, bacon avocado roll. The sauces it comes with is always delicious that my wife and I always ask for the pink sauce for our entrees. Yes it is that good. Then we had the California club pizza and the works. Both delicious as always but it felt more vegetables on the works than the last time I had it. Wished it was more meat but I guess I'll switch to have the Sicilian next time. Last but not least, the BUTTER CAKE. This is our go to dessert in this location. It is very hard to compare and explain how delicious this to other desserts. In my opinion, it tastes like a pound cake and corn bread had a baby and then BUTTER cake came to be. I've been to this location multiple times and it's always been pretty good. Today we stopped in after not having visited since pre-Covid. They now have some seating right outside (still in the mall) and in the restaurant of course. We dined inside the normal area which wasn't too busy during lunch hours on a Monday. I didn't realize they have lunch specials which was perfect! I got one of my favorites - California veggie pizza on cauliflower crust. I was able to get this as a 7" pizza with a cup of their smashed pea and barley soup as a lunch special which was very reasonably priced and a great portion size. My partner got his favorite roasted veggie salad which was huge and he enjoyed it as always. I also ordered the street corn small plate, which was very tasty, although a bit spicy for me. I probably shouldn't have ordered the small plate though because the meal was very filling and I had to take most of the corn home. We also tried the beehive sangria which was very sweet but delicious. It was also a great size. I always like to stop here when at the mall and recommend it if you are looking for something other than some fast food or the super long lines of some of the other places downstairs. read more

We've been looking forward to going here and it was a TOTAL DISASTER from the start... We were given 2 pieces of bread (one for each of us). We asked for more. We were told we had to wait for them to be made. FOOD: We ordered Chicken Picatta with no capers and pasta on the side with marinara instead of piccata sauce, a tai chicken salad with no cilantro, and a bbq chicken pizza with no cilantro. CHICKEN: We received chicken piccata on the side that was like eating tendons in every bite. The pasta came out with pacatta sauce. We got about 2 ounces of Mariana on the side. I explained what I had ordered and got "okayyyyy" with a side of 'tude. PIZZA: The bbq chicken pizza was covered in cilantro. That went back. It came back still with some pieces of cilantro scattered around and rubbery chicken. SALAD: The tai chicken salad had cilantro throughout. My wife said she ordered it with no cilantro. The server (Emily) said that they didn't put it on top, but it's in the mix. WHAT!? Maybe tell the customer UP FRONT! We asked for it to be made with romaine or other lettuce. The server told us multiple times they can't do that! She said they switched to pre-mixes "to save money." Nice. BBQ chicken salad now has cilantro as does everything other than the meat Italian salad and the caesar salad. I asked again later if we could just get the romaine used for the caesar for the tai chicken salad. She said we COULD...then add chicken and the dressing and stuff to it. With all the toppings used on the pizzas, how can this chain be INCAPABLE of producing salads without cilantro with all of the people out there who don't like it. MANAGER: NEVER came out to check on us. She just stood behind the counter doing stuff in plain sight the whole time. BATHROOM: Women's bathroom was DISGUSTING...after being cleaned. BTW...it took forever to get our food b/c nobody would bring it out when our server disappeared into the bathroom for about 15 minutes. BOTTOM LINE: If you don't like cilantro, don't go to CPK. If you like more than one piece of bread each, don't go to CPK. If you don't like chicken that is rubbery (pizza) or like biting into chicken tendons (picatta), don't go to CPK. I do not lie when I tell you the last time I was at a California Pizza Kitchen was over 15 years ago. Since then I have been to this location no less than 3 times in the last 2 months. I have had to hit up the mall a few times after work and decided one day to give CPK a chance. I can't eat gluten (I'm sensitive) but see that they have a crust I can eat. We had the mushroom pizza on the Cauliflower crust and absolutely LOVED it. Like really delicious. They nailed it. My hubby loves the sourdough bread they give you - he is a huge fan of sourdough and says theirs is quite good. Coincidentally we have had Emma every single time and she is phenomenal. Old flames die hard. I was a CPK fan before it was "CPK." This location was highly underutilized but it was after 8 PM on a Tuesday evening. The best thing about CPK is no matter what location you're in the food is always consistently good so you always know what to expect. I've never had a bad experience with the service nor the quality as mentioned before in a long time fan. I celebrated CPK with indulging in the barbecue chicken salad bread and an unsweetened tea. The reason this wasn't a five star experience is due to the fact there was a cleaning rag on the place setting beside me at the bar and no one made an effort to remove it during my entire visit.
