Oh man I simply ask for no garlic and I was given a Shawarma with nothing but it and chicken no veggies no pickles just awful.

Customer service truly sucks I hate it for the consumers because I'll actually never be back. Why get a job you don't want where you are going to be rude and nasty to people . Hire better staff so people can actually experience the food

Still the go to place for Shawarma and salads. Simple ambiance and fast service. Home and friendly vibes

Bucharest is always a mandatory stop during my visits home. This trip, I ate here twice and got the same thing! There's so much chicken in the shawarma the flavors are awesome and I have not had a better shawarma anywhere!! I placed the order online, so I really didn't experience the service this trip. The restaurant looks nice inside and is in an upcoming area.

I stopped in for lunch and expected a crowd! This is a popular spot. My order was taken quickly. There was a short wait- each order is made fresh! I tried the lamb shawarma & learned I don't care for it. The chicken shawarma is tastier in my opinion. The fries are best when hot! There's seating and a wait area inside. They have parking right outside the door!

Fresh food. Fast service. Variety of healthy choices on the menu. Recommend the chicken shawarma sandwich. Will return and try other items.

I've had Bucharest Grill on my radar for ages and never visited until recently, and now I'm kind of upset that I waited this long. Nate and I were in town for a wedding and headed to the rehearsal. We'd been traveling all afternoon and didn't stop to get any lunch, so we were pretty hungry. I hopped on Yelp and saw that this Bucharest Grill and Baobab Fare were both pretty close to the venue. Since we had limited time, I opted for Bucharest Grill and it was perfect. There were plenty of parking spots right outside which was super convenient. We ordered a chicken shawarma to split since we just needed a small bite and would be heading to dinner later. The shawarma was quickly assembled and we dug in. The chicken was juicy and tender, and all the veggies were fresh and crisp. The pita itself was the thin, dry wrap type, which I usually find to be kind of stale and flavorless, but this one somehow wasn't. I loved the pickles and of course the garlic sauce was awesome! I really appreciated how tightly the shawarma was wrapped since we were dressed up and trying not to make a mess. The size was perfect to split for a light meal, and at $7 it was a great deal. We definitely had garlic breath but I didn't care, it was so delicious. I'd definitely come back and get a combo and try the lamb next time. If you need a quick bite and are craving shawama, check out Bucharest Grill.

Chicken shawarmas and garlic spread. Come here pretty often. Too bad the one in corktown is gone!

Oh My Goodness!!!!! And you have got to say that with soul!!! $17 of pure divine flavor fullness!!! The first bite seals the deal!! Full of robustness, from the peppers to the onions to the char flavor on the beef then wrapped in deliciousness! I had a sundress on that literally had drops of sauce from the juice drippin! I'm not playing! The BEST thing I have tasted in Detroit! And we have tired other places for food, I left hungry or unsatisfied, this mouthful made up for the lack of flavor I was getting! A must when visiting! Take it from a true foodie!!! That's it, that's my take! I'm ready for seconds....

The menu is Turkish and German fusion, which makes when you know how the doner kabob has become a German fast food staple. I've gone a few times now and had consistently great experiences. From the just the right level of eccentric inside, to the wide patio outside, the environment is comfortable and fun. Their food and cocktail menu changes often. There a few mainstays, including their doner options. Their lamb doner version is the only one I've found in the US I like (I have to remember to ask without peppers, not a traditional ingredient). Their cocktails are fresh, inventive, and interesting. I've tried a variety, and they do a consistently good cocktail. Supergeil is a reliable go to, good quality, reasonable prices, and great service. I'll be back for their patio season.

The menu is German/Turkish/Mediterranean fusion. Plenty of interesting items on the menu! We started with Lutenitza appetizer with pita. Very tasty with a pop of pomegranate. And we ordered the eggplant fries too, which were sweet and crazy good. We also had cocktails. I had to try the Snap Pea margarita... which tasted exactly like a snap pea margarita. Bizarre and not a taste combination I will repeat, but unique. My friend ordered the purple gang and it was sweeter and bubbly. We split cheese ravioli which was good. For dessert we had the chocolate brownie with cinnamon ice cream. The ice cream was the star of that dish. My only issue was the volume of this cool place. Music was loud and the patrons were louder. I will try it again with an eye toward a less busy time slot. A truly unusual and delicious menu!

I went to Jefferson and I must say this is the 1st time in years that I am disappointed. My chicken shawarma for 10:30 am on a Saturday morning was hard ( the wrap tasted like it had been out since the night before ) to eat at 11:30 am. My salad had shredded feta, they changed from crumbled feta. I don't eat shredded, but for $1.00 up charge. ‍ I still will enjoy without any feta moving forward. My mouth was just watering for a fresh shawarma..... and I guess I need to eat when it is busy to get fresh... I even called my order in, I thought that would help bring that I have been using that number for years for Bucharest.

There's a parking garage in the rear and plenty of spots. I did enter through the rear of the establishment since I parked there. The menu is pretty extensive. Ended up getting the half order of hummus. A basket of warm pita and two sauces came out. I initially thought that was the pita. This was complimentary I believe. The garlic sauce is solid. The other one is a spicy sauce of some sort. This spicy one was super good. The hummus came out. Very smooth and flavorful. For my entree, I got the Shish Kafta. You can choose between lamb or chicken. I went with the chicken with a side of rice and my choice of soup or salad. I opted for the lentil soup. That came out piping hot. This was delicious. Flavorful and good texture. My entree came out and wow. The portion is way more than what you pay for. Came with 4 very huge blocks of chicken kefta. Nicely seasoned and grilled to perfection. Had a nice char on the outside, but still juicy on the inside. I used the two sauces from earlier to give it an extra kick. I washed it all down with a mint lemonade. This was absolutely refreshing. Clean place, very good food and the customer service was solid.

One guy seated at a booth on the phone and two ladies with their suitcase at another booth. Other than the 3 people, place was empty. Ordered carry out. crushed lentil bowl, chicken kafta, two sides: small hummus, small baba ghanouj, large fattoush salad with no pita. $38.13 Food takes about 15 minutes to be ready. Drove all the way back to the office. My chicken kafta looks to be lamb, not at all what I ordered. My large fattoush is covered in pita chips. Had to spend several minutes getting every pita chip out of the salad. It's good I am not allergic to gluten. They shove the dressing packet in the corner of the salad, so you get a bit less, that and the pita chips. Other than that, the salad was fine. I am quite disappointed the order is not right! The crushed lentil soup has a lot of rice in it, which is just filler to me. Has some clumps of something, may be rice and starch? It's too inconvenient to drive all the way back. Do be sure to check your carry out order before you leave the place. The crushed lentil is quite bland, not much flavor to it. Tastes some fennel, quite a few clumps of starch. The soup is more rice than lentil. I could count on one hand how many traces of lentil was in my bowl of soup. What in the world? My husband ate the lamb kafta, since I don't eat red meat. He said it was so-so, but rather dry.
