Stopped in for dinner and was very pleased with the whole experience. Made a reservation (maybe not…read morenecessary) but it filled up so I would recommend. Cool spot that they have. Kitchen is an open concept in the back right of the restaurant. Big bar in the middle and tables/booths throughout. Went with some friends, so we ordered a fair amount of food to try. We ordered the hummus with lamb, the crispy potatoes, falafel, and the mixed grill. Before getting into the food, quick shout out to our waitress. She was amazing. Very attentive without being too much. Walked us through the menu. Was patient with us. I would have gone back for that alone. The food rocked. The hummus with lamb was my friends' favorite. I thought it was very good. Ample serving as well. That goes for everything. No skimpy servings. Almost $20 for hummus with lamb seems a bit pricy but well worth it. The crispy potatoes were very good. The jalapeño added a little kick which opened up the sinuses. Would order again. The falafel was the best I've had. Perfectly fried. Very nice flavor. Could have just eaten those all night and been extremely happy. Finally, the mixed grill was great. It came with chicken, ribeye, kofta, some veggies, rice, and pita. My one complaint would be that the pita was so soggy when it came because it was under the meat and some sauces which was a little unfortunate. Still a good pita though. The chicken was good. Nothing mind blowing. Nice char. My friends really liked it, so different strokes I guess. The ribeye chunks were nice. Solid medium rare-medium cook on them. Solid marinade/seasoning. Not chewy or fatty which was a bonus cause you never know with steak. Finally, the star of the show which was the kofta. If I go back, I only need kofta as my main. I'm not a huge kofta guy but this might have converted me. Grilled to perfection. The lamb was not too overpowering which can sometimes be the case. Very good portion as well (2 big pieces). Rice and veggies were standard. Nothing special; by no means bad. Highly recommend. Can't go wrong here. Curious how similar it is to Phoenicia in Bham (need to try that). 5 big stars.

We shared each appetizer and entree. I'll add pictures to show the yumminess. And the warm most hand towels after the meal add a great final touch. Possibly the only downside is it was crowded downtown and valet was $20 as a result. But besides that, I highly recommend!!

Malek El Kabob -- by far the best chicken lemon rice soup ever…read more Food was excellent (we did takeout). The only downside: they forgot to pack the salad, so definitely double-check your bag before you leave. But overall--hands down, super delicious. You won't be disappointed!

I did enter through the rear of the establishment since I parked there. The menu is pretty extensive. Ended up getting the half order of hummus. A basket of warm pita and two sauces came out. I initially thought that was the pita. This was complimentary I believe. The garlic sauce is solid. The other one is a spicy sauce of some sort. This spicy one was super good. The hummus came out. Very smooth and flavorful. For my entree, I got the Shish Kafta. You can choose between lamb or chicken. I went with the chicken with a side of rice and my choice of soup or salad. I opted for the lentil soup. That came out piping hot. This was delicious. Flavorful and good texture. My entree came out and wow. The portion is way more than what you pay for. Came with 4 very huge blocks of chicken kefta. Nicely seasoned and grilled to perfection. Had a nice char on the outside, but still juicy on the inside. I used the two sauces from earlier to give it an extra kick. I washed it all down with a mint lemonade. This was absolutely refreshing. Clean place, very good food and the customer service was solid.

Seriously impressive lunch spot in Detroit!! Stopped by La…read morePalma for lunch and was blown away by both the portion size and the flavor. I ordered the chicken platter and it came with a huge serving of perfectly seasoned rice, tender and juicy chicken, onions, warm bread, and a fresh salad -- all for around $15, which feels like a steal these days. The standout for me was the salad dressing -- hands down the best I've ever had. I could honestly drink it. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care. Portions are generous enough that you'll likely have leftovers, and it's the kind of meal that keeps you full and happy for hours. Casual, quick, and consistently delicious -- I'd absolutely come back and recommend this spot to anyone looking for solid Mediterranean food in Detroit.

They then charged for the bread that my brother (loyal customer of theirs and suggested this place) said it's usually free. But since I sent back the combo shawarma plate, they wanted to be petty. It was a party of 3, the service charge on my bill was 20% because we split the bill! I feel like they wanted me to pay for a plate of food I didn't like and sent back so they added all these weird charges to my bill to make up for the food they lost when I sent it back! I will never go there again and I will definitely never suggest this place to anyone! Find better Mediterranean food because this spot not it
