I was in the area and stopped here for a quick lunch. I had the steak quesadilla, fries, and drink on special for lunch. It was $8.99. The quesadilla was huge and stuffed with steak, onions, and green peppers. It tasted good also. The fries are just okay so I can bypass them next time. The quesadilla is more than enough. I had food leftover for dinner. The customer service is great also. The lady who took orders at the counter and over the phone came out to the dining area to check on everyone and even asked if I liked my quesadilla since she recommended it. Chicken Caesar wrap is fire! Best Chicken Caesar wrap I've ever eaten. Fries are OK too! I work in the New Center Building and this place is definitely good for food. I've also ordered a chicken finger pita and they added hot sauce to it! It was beyond amazing with the hot sauce added. The food at this place was terrible. I would not recommend this to anyone regardless of how hungry you may find yourself. A bag of chips and a pop would be a better alternative and those are bad for you too lol. I ordered a fried chicken pita and I ordered my friend a grilled chicken pita combo that came with fries and a drink. The total was almost $21 bucks. The Fries initially seemed good until we bit into cold undone chunks. The grilled chicken pita was tasteless blobs of chicken, housed underneath what seemed like a garden salad. The fried chicken pita was ONE Chicken tender cut up under an abundance of lettuce and tomato with old mayonnaise. You have to pay extra for ranch which we did and that tasted like they mixed old Caesar dressing with water and ranch. It was disgusting... we threw the lunch away. Normally I have good food from this restaurant as I work in this building upstairs BUT TODAY!! I ordered a Steak Quesadilla and it was horrible, no season the green peppers were still sort of raw and hard to bite. As an employee in the Fisher Building, I was excited to get a general cuisine restaurant. Somewhere to get a burger or a shawarma or chicken strips and fries. And after eating here several times, I'm still waiting. The food is forgettable at best. What food is okay is nothing you can't find elsewhere in the New Center area. The fries are kind of greasy and spongy. The burger is downright atrocious; you literally can't tell the difference, in texture or taste, between the patty and the bun. It takes a true amount of skill to mess up THE most basic American menu item there is, but daggummit, they've done it. Great job! But the true clincher, the thing that keeps me away, is the service. I had a horrible experience with the primary counter person, a short woman who wears a baseball cap quite often. I ordered a chicken cheesesteak sandwich (think a Philly cheesesteak but with chicken) and asked them to hold the lettuce, tomato and mayo. I get my food and everything is on there. I bring it to this abrasive harpy's attention, and she tells me that 1) that's not what she wrote down, and 2) I didn't order it that way. When I tell her that yes, in fact, I DID order it and I know what I ordered, she again tells me I got what I ordered. But she takes the food and has a new one made (another 10 minutes of my lunch break down the tubes) as a courtesy. When the manager comes to talk to me, he tells me the sandwiches normally come with it, but I tell him the counter person didn't write it down correctly and was rude to me. He shrugged and gave me the correct food without so much as an apology or a make-good for a future order. If that's the kind of business they want to run, fine. Until that obnoxious, shrill, unpleasant fudgebag is fired, they won't see a dime of mine. And maybe not even then, given the manager more or less supported his employee. Try New Center Eatery instead. It's more of a walk, but it's worth it. read more

I have been here a few times. Most recently I ordered the chicken shawarma platter. It was weird because some of the chicken was hot but most of it was lukewarm or room temperature. I'm halfway through and I find two fine short pieces of hair on my lettuce. Ignore the bad reviews. Seriously. If you read past the made-up complaints about the food you'll find that the reviewer found his or herself in a situation which required diplomacy and chose a confrontational path instead. Some people figure if they pay their taxes they're just owed whatever they ask. The chicken quesadilla is fat, and by that I don't mean fatty ... I mean FAT. Thick with chicken. Great vegetables. Perfect seasoning. Seasoning, as you know is subjective. If you have to salt the living crap out of everything you eat at home because you smoke, or you're a heavy drinker, then yes ... everything else is going to taste bland. The Burger is perfect as diner burgers go. And that's the thing. This is a lunch place. It's a diner, for cryin' out loud. They don't make claims of being a five star joint! I work in the Cadillac Building directly across the street from the New Center One building were this new place just opened about two months ago inside the New Center One building on the second floor and they serve the best breakfast and lunch...They have omlettes, pancakes, hash brown and for lunch they have the best shawarma in town honestly...They also have very good burgers, salads and quesdillas and many other lunch wraps and pittas and there prices are the cheapest in town...I highly recommend everyone to go try that place and you will want to go there everyday...Service is great and very quick... read more

For the convenient location and the price I would go there again. I had an absolute disgusting experience with the New Center Grill today. I have been here on several occasions since I work across the street. Most of their food isn't all that great, however I decided to purchase a turkey club, I mean how can you mess up a turkey club?!?!? When I began eating my club I noticed a funny after taste. I pulled a piece of turkey out and tasted it by itself. The turkey was definitely spoiled!!! I took it back to the restaurant and asked for a refund. The owner came out and stated that they just opened the turkey and it should be fine. I again explained that it was definitely spoiled and asked for a refund. He stated that their policy is to NOT give refunds. He asked if I wanted anything else, I explained that I didn't want to risk eating anything else as the spoiled meat seemed to have turned my stomach. He told me that he could write my name down on a list for a store credit for when I returned. I told him that I wouldn't be returning and gave the credit to another customer to use. It is absolutely baffling that a company provides spoiled meat to a customer then refuses to give a refund!!!! I will NOT be eating here again and would suggest that you check your food before eating it. (Most of their food taste very much like the freezer. And most of the veggies seem un-fresh) read more
