Classy establishment. "F*** you back to sleep" blaring on the speakers while families with young kids present. Pretty ghetto. Food was great though.

    Chicken Shawarma

Ordered via DoorDash, food came quick. My coworkers order from this place at least once a week so I had high hopes, only for them to be crushed the moment I took my first bite. The Chicken Shawarma is advertised as having grilled marinated chicken, tomato, lettuce, pickles, mayo, garlic spread all wrapped up a pita. My disappointment comes with the filling of my wrap, there were 2 tiny strips of pickle, one piece of tomato, and maybe a tablespoon of garlic sauce (if that), and no mayo to my taste. What's worse than being skimped on the veggies is the fact that they were replaced with more chicken! I had to remove at least half off it just to stomach my wrap, but by that point the meal lost all of its appeal. Do better! People need vegetables (and more garlic sauce)!

I really can't say enough about this place. Very lovely ladies at the casheir, always beautiful smile. Very welcoming. Food top notch. Cooks work in prefections, very fast and spotless, unlike anywhere else these days. I eat out most of the time. This place is my favorite in every angel (hospitality, quality, freshnes and cleaness). Very afordable). Thank you guys

Bucharest is known for their oversized shawarmas, and as the name would imply, it's not your traditional middle eastern joint, but more a fusion, like the Bucharest shawarma which is stuffed with fries. Wraps a tad on the salty side. Fast casual setup.

Congealed fat in my salad?! Frfr?

Mary had a little not-so-lamb... whose fat congealed all over my salad but seriously, I want my $6.50 back for really awful "lamb." This is the fattiest and honestly most terrible lamb I've ever had-- reason being this meat doesn't taste like lamb at all. It tastes like beef with a spritz of lamb essence. But the lettuce is fresh and has a nice crisp to it onions too! I just have to rinse them off. One star because the food is edible. Two stars because the veggies are nice. Service was generic, nothing special. Ambiance rustic. Will I be back... mehhh...

Chicken shawarma minus lettuce. $6.99 which is a fair price.

I have been to the Detroit Bucharest locations before, a long time ago, and I was craving shawarma on my ride home from Portage today, so I stopped here for takeout. The good: -You get a lot for your money - I got the chicken shawarma, no lettuce, for $6.99, and I'm almost done eating it, as I write this review, and it's a lot of food. -They are FAST - this is kind of good and bad. I called the store when I had about 18 minutes left in my drive, and they said it would be ready in 5 minutes. I asked them to hold my order for 10 minutes (i.e., don't put in the order for an extra 10 minutes) because of that. -Additionally, when I showed up to the store, they were also fast in retrieving my order. -The sandwich itself is very good although their chicken is more charbroiled than I prefer. Lots of garlic. Could use more pickles. The meh: -The person on the phone was very brusque. When I arrived there were a LOT of cooks / counter people so maybe that's why (I'm sure they are busy). Overall I'd stop here again although Mr. Kabob is still my favorite in the area. I also used to really like Bucharest's curly fries - I didn't get fries this time but they are very good.

It's hugely popular since it's right by Beaumont. It's a counter to order from and that's about it. There is a counter on the back wall while you wait. Total was $25.87. The salad wasn't that big, meat was so-so, not dry and not moist. Seasoning was also just okay. The hummus and chicken was also just decent.

Located on Woodward, there is ample street parking. I didn't realize that Little Ghost is more of a fast food joint versus restaurant. The burgers are made to order and it does take time - reminds me In and Out with a special Grey Ghost touch. I ordered a single and double ghost burger with fancy fries. You get to pick the temperature of your burger which makes elevates the experience. Have you ever ordered a medium burger at a fast food joint?! Nope! That was a nice touch. Everything was well touch out to the colors and interior pictures to the menu. So cute. Love the vibrant colors. Absolutely obsessed! Everyone was nice. Ordered a single, a double, two drinks and fries. Totally was 34$. Very expensive I feel. Food was good though. I did enjoy the burger. The single was enough. They don't have any toppings for the burger besides cheese, lettuce and their ghost sauce (basically mayo, pickles and maybe tomatoes). They do have packets of ketchup and mustard if you ask. Fries were fresh and you can tell. This was my favorite thing. They were actually very good. I didn't care for the fancy sauce too much though. But the size of the fries are shareable I feel. Overall I would come here again and try other food. But, with the lack of toppings for the price, it would steer me away.

The service was excellent, the atmosphere was well executed, and the wine and liquor selection was impressive. That said, the food and cocktail program felt overly complicated at times. The fat-washed whiskey seemed more focused on technique than flavor, and some of the menu choices came across as pretentious rather than innovative. The steak frites were underwhelming. The steak ate tougher than expected and felt more like a lower-grade cut than what I'd expect at this price point. The chicken in the bao bun was overcooked and tough in the center. There were also some operational issues that affected the experience. The music coming from the kitchen competed with the dining room music, creating an unnecessary distraction. The biggest drawback was the value proposition. Leaving with a $200 bill made it difficult to overlook the inconsistencies. I believe this place has real potential, but it would benefit from simplifying some of its offerings, improving consistency in execution, and focusing its creativity on a few standout menu items rather than trying to do too much at once. With those adjustments, it could have a strong future and significant room for growth.

The vegan cheese tastes rubbery and odd to me, then again so does vegan chorizo. Not for me. The side of beans is decent. Esquite is super creamy, more like a soup here. Not quite what I expected. I ordered a burrito along with chips and salsa, rice, and beans, and everything was absolutely delicious. The rice and beans were especially good--I ended up eating them with my nacho chips and it was the perfect combo. The burrito was packed with flavor and made just right, which is exactly what you hope for when trying a different location. The only small difference I noticed compared to the West Bloomfield location is that there, they brought out the chicken and salsa right away with the drink cup and even provided a container to dump the chips into. That said, it's a very minor detail and definitely doesn't take away from how great the food was here. Overall, Taco Bros on Woodward delivers the same high‑quality, tasty experience I've come to expect. I'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for solid, flavorful tacos and burritos.

The people working here were so friendly and personable with literally everyone that walked in the door. The service was top notch. It is also the most adorable place giving vibes of Lamy's food counter at Henry Ford Museum. I loved all of the options on the menu and it was so hard just picking a couple items to try. We had chicken tacos. They were so good and so fresh, I loved the sauce on top. Honestly, I am not sure if it was cheese or a sour cream type mixture, but it was creamy and flavorful. I also had the torta which was absolutely incredible. It had the same chicken as the taco. The chicken was slow cooked or stewed and shredded and was so flavorful, like a homecooked chef's kiss. The bread was fresh. I loved the sauce poured over it, making it a dipped and soaked sandwich. The carrots and cilantro, sliced radishes and sliced fresh jalapenos added a level of crunch, freshness and deeper flavor profile. I would want to get this every time. We also tried their delicious "curly" fries, which were like julienned shoestring fries fired fresh. It seemed like every dish was made fresh and right in front of you. So worth it, plus the prices are great. I would love to try their fried chicken plate, their breakfast sandwiches, and their other desserts. We talked to the man behind the counter who seemed like maybe a manager. He gave us their famous chocolate chip cookie to try. It was fresh baked and delicious. I would love to take home more of those. It looked so simple but was better than many bakeries specializing in cookies alone. He also gave us an second order of fries to take home with my leftovers, just top notch kindness and service. This man told us that OWL owns other restaurants and we would probably like them. I am open to trying more of their group but I do want to return here. This is one of those diners you would find being profiled for best kept secret or gourmet home cooked foods under the guise of fast food.
