Their dining area is open until 9:45 PM. The restaurant closes by 10:15 PM. It's a huge place at the corner of 10 mile and Coolidge. Their grocery store is at 14 and Ryan, which I visited just last weekend. Salmon gallaba, spicy with lentil soup, I just wanted three skewers of chicken Kafta, but the not so friendly or warm waitress told me that I cannot order individual skewers unless I get 10 or more of them and they have to be carry out orders. I went back to the front counter and ordered two fresh squeezed orange juices, a medium hummus and asked if my chicken comes with the garlic sauce. She told me or take a few minutes to make the orange juice, since she's by herself. We had to get the veggies with our meal or fries or rice, no way to get hummus. Rather rigid about the order options. The pita pocket bread is okay, dense, but warm. Our waitress seemed extremely stressed out and impatient and rather curt. There's only six tables in the entire restaurant. The lentil soup is good, hearty. I had part of the orange sticker skew in my fresh squeezed OJ, nice. The Fattoush salad was good, the dressing is nicely seasoned. It's lush, green and veggie filled. Had some peppers and like a Fattoush with some red cabbage too. The side of veggies are soggy and are from the freezer. My husband said they are garbage. The chicken kafta was quite good, super flavorful and had a bit of chili on top to give it some kick too. The meat was so juicy too. The salmon gallaba was ok. Nothing special. Our waitress did seem to warm to a tepid temperature later in our meal. Asked how our food was. Then asked if we wanted boxes for our frozen veggies, we said no. Then our bill. That's the extent of our interface. Other folks brought out our food. I was rather annoyed to find that they force a 20% tip on our bill. I went to the front counter and they said they do that to all customers since the pandemic. I said they need to post it somewhere, the waitress said it's on the menu. I said the menu says for 6 or more guests the 20% would be applied. The other guy by her said they are getting new menus that will state the 20% gratuity for all. I told him that's all good and fine, but I didn't get the menu. The guy called his manager. Had me wait several minutes while he explained the situation and how this lady wants a refund of the gratuity. After making me stand for way too long during the guy's lengthy conversation with his manager, while his eyes darted everywhere, he finally told me that they would give me a refund for the gratuity. However, before handing me the money he asked me if I wasn't planning on giving a gratuity. I asked him why that mattered, he said he's was just wondering if I wasn't going to be giving a gratuity at all. He persisted and asked me 3 more times about the gratuity. I finally said not after all this headache from him and the waitress and the added guilt trip about how the waitress lives off her tips. I was absolutely disgusted with how they handled the situation and treated me at what could hand been a decent meal. Terrible customer service and not honest or transparent either. The bedrock to a trustworthy business.

One of my favorite restaurants. They are never shy with their portions. Worth every dollar. Friendly staff. Thanks again guys!

The food here was very solid but a bit pricey. The hummus with chicken shawarma was my favorite. The Sahara combo was a decent amount of food and you will have leftovers. The fattoush salad was my other favorite. The food was ready exactly when they said it would be over the phone. The restaurant is very large and is almost like a banquet center. I would get take out here again.

No one behind the counter or in the kitchen wore a mask during my visit there. I find this unacceptable and will not be returning.

We sat at the bar and had excellent service from the bartender. My husband had a new-to-him beer, which he enjoyed, and I tried the House Martini, which had saffron-infused gin, Strega and dill oil with a pickled onion. It was unique and enjoyable. Before our lobster boil arrived (we had a heads up that it would take 20 minutes), we ordered a bowl of chowder and hush puppies to split. These were my favorite part of the meal! Both were EXCELLENT! The chowder had light, crunchy, homemade croutons in the soup, and it was the perfect addition and the hush puppies were some of the best I've ever tasted. I will share one disappointment. The RESY page where they took the reservations/orders said: "We'll offer a small a la carte menu of coastal favorites & seasonal specials too (e.g. fried clams, shucked oysters, crispy fish sandwiches, etc.)." My husband was excited for the fried clams and talked about getting them several times leading up to our dinner, only to find out there were no fried clams offered. As a matter of fact, our request was met with a reaction that led me to believe that was never even a part of the plan. So why post that in the description? We enjoyed the lobster boil, but felt it was overpriced for what we got. We felt the other items we ordered off the menu were well worth the prices. Our overall impression is that this small, casual restaurant has quality seafood, side dishes and drinks. We will definitely return to try some other items off their regular menu (and get the chowder and hush puppies again!)

Parking was no problem as I was lucky to find metered parking just steps away from the front door. I walked in immediately taken with the charming decor and darkly lit romantic vibes, which is my favorite esthetic for any restaurant. The seating at the bar was yummy, thick comfy seats. The bartender greeted me warmly. He was cool and I hate that I didn't ask his name. He was attentive and masterful with the spirits. He asked if it was my first time, which it was, and since so, made me a tasty "welcome" drink with gin that was fantastic. I also ordered "the panty snatcher" a concoction of vodka, grapefruit, St Germain, rose water and orange. It was amazing. I will definitely be back for drinks. The drink menu is quite tempting. I had the Corn, Corn, Corn dish, which is polenta and corn kernels topped with popcorn. Yes, super unique and interesting. I had to try it. The popcorn was so light and flavorful straight out of the kitchen, but became chewy as it sat atop the piping hot polenta. I really enjoyed it however. Next time I'll eat all the popcorn first. I also had lobster dumplings, which was good but the dish wasn't cooked through. The filling wasn't hot and the pasta was very under on some bites. I was the first customer for the evening, so I can forgive that faux pas. I really enjoyed myself and I will return time and time again to try everything. The menu offers many things I love. Great concept. Cool vibes.

The layout includes three bars: the main bar, the sushi bar, and the tiki bar. The crab rangoon cheese katsu sticks were as good as they sound. I was worried there wouldn't be much crab, but that wasn't the case. The lobster tail robata was easy to peel, and complemented well by its accompaniments. The pork belly robata was tender, while the tare added some sweetness. Of the two, I preferred the pork belly. I've had four of the six bao buns. The chicken had a char flavor, and the steak sauce added some welcome moisture. The filet was tender, with a bold but not overbearing garlic aioli. The pork belly was also tender, glazed with a sweet honey, and balanced by some savory pickles. The sausage had a nice snap, and the Fresno peppers gave it a bit of a kick. The filet and pork belly were my two favorites. The sushi is some of the best I've had locally. The shikotsu roll (wagyu and bone marrow) was incredibly rich and buttery. $36 may seem steep, but it's the most memorable sushi roll I've ever had. The toro (fatty tuna) to caviar was also very impressive, and had soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture. Here's how I rank the nigiri I've tried: 1. Tamago (omelette) 2. Madai (sea bream) 3. Aji (horse mackerel) 4. Shima Aji (striped jack) 5. Ikura (salmon roe) 6. Uni (sea urchin) Lastly, for dessert, I've had the key lime pie. It was remarkably fluffy and honestly one of the best slices I've had. Simply put, TigerLily blew me away. I can confidently say it's one of my favorite restaurants in the Metro Detroit area. I'll be back soon to try the brunch, noodle, and sandwich options.
