Needed a quick bite in Leadville and landed at the Cubano. Their sandwiches hit the spot! Yummy food! Their lattes were great and the service was friendly and prompt. We will be back! We were driving back to Denver and just happened to park right in front of this place on the way home. I'm no expert on Cuban food but it was a nice surprise to find a little culinary diversity in a Leadville. Our food was great and the Buchi and flan were the perfect end to the meal! Absolutely love it. Delicious Cuban sandwiches and don't miss the coffee (they make it very rich!). We came in in a rush and they read us perfectly - I think we had our food within 5 minutes, despite it being a very chill atmosphere. It's modern-rustic and has a nice feel too. read more

Never expected to have good Cuban food at 10,000 feet. Stumbled into this place while passing through and was treated to an outstanding Cuban sandwich - and I've eaten in Little Havana (Miami)!! To me, the bread is what makes a Cuban and their's is really good. Had the Pan Con Lechon and it was incredible! Pork was very tender, not gristly. Add the jalapeños if you like a little heat. Plantains were good as well - considering we were at 10,000 feet!! read more

The ham and cheese sandwich were fantastic. Great quality of ingredients. However, the cost was very expensive. This is normal for Leadville. I always anticipate $20+- lunches anymore. Sand which $14.00, Drink $3.00, Tip $3.00. read more

The sandwiches are great. My wife and I had two different sandwiches and both were a Cuban style and we both loved them. The staff was very nice and the patio outside was a nice place to dine. Will go back next time we stop in Leadville. Worth the stop! read more

Wonderful perfect coffee....couldn't find better coffee in the area. Breakfast sandwiches are ehhh. They use pre made egg rounds which really disappoints. It would be my go to breakfast if they simply used real eggs that provided actual flavor. read more

Great find in Leadville! Passing through on our way for a hike. What a treat! 2 of us shared the Avocado Salad (must try), the flaky little treasures of the Chimichurri Chicken Empanadas (must try) and the panini style Cubano Sandwich, ok, ok, must try this, too. We are big time coffee snobs and found their Cordetida (sp) to be like a very potent cappuccino that got us right up the trail ;) Counter to the review that said they were not COVID prepared, we found all staff masked, server also wore gloves, tables well spaced, bathrooms clean...plus the staff was helpful and friendly. Cant wait to find an excuse to pass through Leadville again. read more

I'm not very familiar w Cuban style key lime pie, but theirs is basically just lime flavored whipped cream, also the little gyosa type chicken appetizers were tiny, and you get three for $6, which seemed a bit pricey. I was also disappointed that they don't allow dogs in their huge gravel open air seating area, and that they use a huge amount of styrofoam. read more

What could be better than seeing an old city friend in the mountains. Buchi was a North Denver favorite for years. We never went in without seeing first responders, neighborhood friends and people who drove from all over Denver for a Fabulous Cuban Sandwich. Summer and the crew made a great life change and moved to Leadville. We were sad for us - happy for them. The menu has changed a little bit but still fantastic, satisfying food and coffee. I had the La Machina Verde (Green Machine) veggie which was divine with the cilantro vinegrette. My husband had a breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon and cheese - it was gone in seconds. Not wanting a lot of sugar he ordered his Cuban coffee without sugar and regretted it. Get it the way it should be. He reports it's still a great cup of coffee though. Ironically my husband had played bagpipes here many times before when the space was a microbrewery a few years ago. The space is darling with thy loads of outdoor seating. DELICIOUS!!! I come in at least twice a week. Double cortadito and a breakfast sandwich. The empanadas are great, rice & beans amazing, platanos are a MUST, and the La Bodega is perfect for lunch on the go. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Restaurant is always clean!!
