Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I had heard wonderful things about this restaurant and was really excited to try it. I drove a half hour and used GPS to find it and went to the link that said menu, made choices for my family's dinner, pressed the button to call the restaurant and ordered my food. We were all really excited to try a new place but unfortunately when I arrived and went to pay for my take out, it went from being $53 to being $82. I asked about the difference and was told to walk to the back to talk to the owner who, in an indescribably rude way yelled that he wasn't in control of his pricing and that I could either pay the higher price or not eat there. I explained that the link to the menu goes to yelp, which also goes to all of the pictures of his food, descriptions, prices. The link also goes to these reviews and provides a hyperlink to the restaurant's number which i clicked on to call and order. The owner yelled in my face, insisting none of that was his fault and that he has no control over either Google or yelp, and that yelp can list his prices at any price they want. (Insane) He had absolutely no interest in the fact that he was misrepresenting his pricing or that I was really excited about eating at his restaurant. None whatsoever. He didn't explain things at all or offer to meet me halfway on price or anything. At this point he could be dishing out gold, and I would never darken that doorway again. Not because of whatever mistake was made in the pricing, but because of his loud, rude behavior and immediate need to do battle with a person who was simply asking for an explanation. The worst customer service and the worst calling card ever.

I'd like to be able to give 3.5 because it wasn't a 3 and not quite a 4/5 stars. Overall we were pleasantly surprised by a place with a "teriyaki cream sauce" on pasta with veggies. I had read the owner is from Italy so I wanted to try it. Our young waiter apologized from the get-go that he might be delayed because he was "working take out". We thought we're sunk. BUT the chardonnay was creamy & lovely - nice pour. And out waiter was very attentive, checking in after our dishes came. I only have a picture of our local mushroom appetizer - we were so hungry we didn't get any more. Hubs had crazy Gorgonzola - yum! I had Aglio E Olio and it was ok. Little too much oil and not enough salt. We'll definitely be back

Gorgonzola bread fondue! Amazing!

Just tried it here for the first time. I think it will be our new regular place! The ambience was warm and cozy and decorated for Christmas. Our waitress was good and checked on us multiple times. It's a small place so reservations are helpful. The food was very good and I haven't seen portions like that in years. We started with the Gorgonzola bread fondue. Wow! The fondue was amazing. They definitely didn't provide enough bread compared to the bowl of fondue and for the price but it was so delicious. A must order!!! I had shrimp scampi with huge shrimp. It was delicious. My husband had the bolognese and he said it was delicious! He also had a yummy espresso martini. Prices were very reasonable. We can't wait to go again!

We had reservations at Gianni Fig's and it was better than expected. We ordered Burrata and Fried Eggplant to start, and I ordered the Spicy Gorgonzola, replaced sausage with vegetables and fettuccini with penne. Family ordered Crazy Gorgonzola + Ribeye with vegetable side. I ordered a "Second Wind" at the end and it was fantastic. I didn't catch the waitresses name, but they could do better at filling the water glasses and checking in. We spent about 2 hours here and had to ask for water. Relatively slow service but probably to give people enough time to talk. Ambience: 4/5 Food: 4.5/5 Drinks: 5/5 Service: 3.5/5 Gianni Fig's: 4.25/5

Chicken cordon blue

This little place was absolutely amazing. The service was great, the portions are large, the drinks were amazing! The food, WOW. I had the chicken cordon blue and it was so delicious. It's small and fills up fast, don't forget to set a reservation! There were people waiting outside 20 minutes before they opened! Definitely coming back one day! (We drove two hours for this!) it was a great spot for a birthday dinner! They were also VERY accommodating of my service dog. Gave him a bowl of water and were very sweet to him.

What a fun night. Service A+. Knowledgeable, accommodating and attentive. Food delicious, portions enough for lunch tomorrow. Cocktails creative and good pours. Restaurant atmosphere was pleasant and not loud, such a bonus. Sorry it took me so long to try this restaurant. I'll be back.

I especially enjoy the new appetizers Gianni has created. Oysters fresh shucked every Friday!! The oysters are prepared by master sue chefs beautifully displayed on a bed of ice. Most fun with shots of vodka!

Well priced and large portions. Certainly not gourmet or interesting flavors. The decor is old school and doudy.

A lovely place, varied menu, terrific staff, delicious food…read more We will definitely be back. A special thank you to the waiter (Colin?) who turned our no longer needed table for five into a perfect table for four. And who got me a seat cushion when I looked like I needed one!

The atmosphere was lively, the decor was on the heavier darker side, which I actually prefer. Things went downhill from there though. It took over 10 minutes for someone to come by the table, and another 15 to get our menus and finally place an order. It seemed as though there were several staff on the floor, but only one was actually waiting on tables. Our server started out seemingly a bit perturbed with us, but they eased up as the evening progressed. I had a decent glass of red, and we also ardered some non-alcoholic beverages which were festive looking and tasted nice. We ordered the foccaccia appetizer. It came out just shy of burned. It was dry, bland and flat tasting, but heavily salted. I had high hopes for the the Spezzatino di Manzo, a beef stew. It may have been rich in taste at some point, but all I got from it was salt. The beef was edible but not as tender as it should have been, and what few vegetables and potatoes survived were mush or nearly pulverized. There were also quite a bit of chewy gristle. The Roasted Mushroom Risotto was unexpectedly watery and flavorless, almost soupy. The Alla Vodka Fettuccini was cooked properly, and wasn't bad, but was tomato heavy for an alla vodka. The chicken in this dish however was overcooked and dry. For dessert, we got the lemon sorbet which was perfectly fine, but it's really hard to mess up sorbet. I don't know how this place has as many stars as it does. Our experience was an expensive disappointment.

(Apr 2026) For dinner, we had a baby-spinach salad with crushed walnuts, moist dried cranberries, crumbled gorgonzola, and sweet zingy raspberry vinaigrette. And rich tender spinach, basil, and tomato tortellini, in a creamy garlic sauce. Their Mussels Fra-Diavlo were fresh tender and juicy, sauteed in garlic olive oil, with crushed red peppers and rich Pomodoro sauce. We loved their brightly-flavored chicken piccata, pan-sautéed in light fresh-tasting olive oil, with white-wine lemon-butter sauce, tasty little capers, and melt-in-your-mouth artichoke hearts. Served over creamy risotto. So good! Our server, Maybelline is the nicest best ever, with a great sense of humor. We were happy to see Dario's busy in the early evening on a Friday (Apr 2026). Their dishes are so good, each perfectly prepared and delicious. They rival any we've had in that big Olde Towne on the harbor :-). We hope that Dario's Ristorante is part of a resurgence of good food spots in this part of town.

The bruschetta was different than most, but okay. The dessert, tiramisu, was the best part of the meal. I was not familiar with the brands of Cabernet, and I wanted a glass of Rodney Strong, but it was not available by the glass. I settled for the server's recommendation. It was fine. The server was excellent and attentive. We walked away thinking that the 5 star experience we previously had, was now a 2 star and at a premium.
