Super friendly employees and the pizza was perfect - crispy crust, delicious sauce, cheese, and toppings. We had to split our group between two tables, and the staff was so accommodating making sure we had everything we needed. It was a hot day, so we enjoyed the AC after being outside all morning, but next time we'll try sitting out on the back deck. read more

We stopped by for lunch one day it's clearly a local place. The person who took our order was super friendly and helpful. We had a chicken Parm sub which was absolutely delicious and some slices of cheese pizza which were old-school and just right. The food was exactly what we were looking for. Stopped here on the way to rafting for lunch. We sat outside on their deck in the back. Staff was very nice & attentive. Most of us (we were 8 people) had pizza and 1 burger platter and the food was great!!! Food prepared in reasonable time. They took safety precautions for COVID like masks, gloves, condiments in individual servings, etc. definitely don't overlook this place & stop for a bite to eat. Went zip lining at Zoars again and tried this place. Excellent service, owner helped as well. Nice seating outside, cozy and inviting. Food was good! The chips that we're going to be brought out to the deck never arrived and we had to go inside for those. I don't accept Covid as an excuse for poor customer service. Excellent food, friendly, fast service and great views off the back patio! This gem is very deceiving from the road and when you first walk in. We went there yesterday after ziplining and had worked up a big appetite. The lady who took our order was extremely pleasant and could see how hungry we were. While they were making our sandwiches, the owner came out with complimentary homemade chips, saying "I heard you were really hungry!" They were delicious, and the sandwiches that followed were even more delicious! I finally went back up to the register to request a refund (everyone else that was with us received their orders). They told me the order as lost lost and could not be located at the moment. THEN I asked for a refund again and They told me they "refunded me" my money to my debit card and when I asked for a receipt for confirmation I was told it was "lost". Went in for slices but they only had one kind (something with lots of sausage on it). So, I ordered the eggplant parm sandwich, which was excellent. However, they made it and forgot they had, so I waited and waited and waited while it sat on the counter. When in Charlemont, choices are very limited. Excellent pizza. But they just can't seem to get it together and actually have slices ready anytime I've been after getting off the river. It's unfortunate as it would probably drive a large crowd. Four visits I've only been able to get a slice once. Was just in town for the Deerfield Riverfest me and a thousand other paddlers. Tried to stop in for a slice and guess what? Berkshire Pizzaria located on RT 2 on the very scenic and breathtaking Mohawk Trail. The place is like a gem. The interior is a very Victorian and very calming museum like feeling with very pretty chandeliers and an awesome very old map of Manhattan covers one of the walls. The owner is a very attentive and attractive and well spoken lady called Gabby. Unlike other pizza shops that are very unwelcoming and rude, Gabby was very friendly and answered all my questions by heart. I ordered a small 14" meat lover pizza and small wings. I don't care about the price since spending $20 or $30 for a meal these days is not uncommon. The food tasted great and looked very appetizing and very nicely packed. BTW Gabby uses a real store-made pizza dough with all fresh daily prepared toppings Also, plenty of parking spaces in the front. I also saw that day have a nice outside porch for dining during nice days. I highly recommend Berkshire Pizzeria in Charlemont, MA. 5 stars all the way read more

Ordered birthday party takeout for nine . . . 4 large pizzas and one calzone at about 4:00PM for 7:00PM pickup. Began eating at 7:15PM. Pizzas and calzone were as dry as dry can be as if they were made long before pickup and sat in a warmer. Atop that, the calzone came without marinara sauce. Needless to say . . . nine disappointed partygoers and never again for any us! Maybe eating in is ok but takeout: yuk! read more
