My son even told them on one what the check engine light was going to be just by listening and at first they thought he was wrong and seemed a little irritated that we even ask about it.

I am African American, born in NC and have lived abroad and on the West Coast. I was called in to an interview with Mr. Bono in November of '25. Mr.Bono is a 15 year current management employee of the dealership. I dressed business casual for the meeting. Mr. Bono's first words were and I quote "You sure are overdressed for an interview with a bunch of "rednecks" The majority of AA's and other ethnicities, including Caucasians outside of the south, definition of "redneck" is southern bigot, coupled with a history of racial violence and prejudice. Then Mr. Bono chose not to interview me for the position I actually applied, and was actually overqualified for but the least in the sales department.., you know were the guys stand outside and accost you when you drive up to view a vehicle. I've done Mr. Bono's job multiple times in the past. It's almost to unbelievable to believe, such a southern stereotype. Aren't we done with this type of ignorance yet? I guess not. My rating is based on the aforementioned.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE…read more If I could give a negative rating, I would. Extremely disappointing and misleading experience at Carmine's Import Service. I was told by Tesla that my 2020 Tesla Model Y Performance needed a battery pack replacement. Before committing to Tesla, I called this shop and spoke with someone I believe was named Max, who assured me they could do the job and had third-party battery options that would be cheaper than Tesla. Based on that information, I paid $400 out of pocket to tow my car from Raleigh to their shop. That's where the red flags started. * It took over two days just to get a diagnosis, and I had to repeatedly call for updates. * I was charged $243.13 for the diagnostic, despite the delays and lack of communication. * My advisor, Marissa, told me she was "looking for a battery," which alone took another full day. * When I finally received an estimate, I was shocked: $28,000 total, with $23,000 claimed just for the battery. For comparison, Tesla charges around $13,000 for the same battery replacement -- and I personally found a compatible battery online for $14,500, which still makes their quoted $23,000 battery price extremely inflated. When I asked for a detailed, itemized estimate (battery source, labor hours, cost breakdown), I never received one. They could never explain where the battery was coming from, how many labor hours were involved, or why the price was so high. I asked twice to speak with a manager. Messages were taken both times. No manager ever called or texted me back. Because no repair was done, I then had to pay another $500 to tow my car back to Raleigh, wasting $900 total in towing alone, plus the $243.13 diagnostic fee -- not counting time and stress. Between the lack of transparency, the exaggerated battery cost, the inflated estimate, and zero management follow-up, this experience felt misleading and unprofessional. I wasted time, money, and trust bringing my vehicle here. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Disgusting customer service. PLEASE READ! If you don't want to be called an EFF Face…read moreGot called an Eff Face while visiting this established by the manager (Yes you are reading this correctly) So I visited this dealership to look at two cars I was interested in and the treatment I received was absolutely HORRIBLE and APPALLING! Background Story: I had visited this dealership before taking a look at one of there cars and the salesman was so nice and helpful when I came. He said his name was Woody and if I needed anything to hit him back and he would be willing to help me further. Present-day: I walked onto that same lot to further my research on two Mercedes Benz that I am interested in, in either trading my BMW 550i for or just buying straight out. Upon arrival a salesman named Kenny greeted me and he was cool. He asked if I needed any help and I asked could I see Woody since he was the person I originally worked with and called two days previously to come and speak to about my purchase (as he had requested I do 1 year previous to this visit). So long story short I was asked to come in to speak with Woody (I'm thinking to myself GREAT! I get to work with the guy that was so cool before with this purchase) This is where the S! Hit the fan I walk into the dealership and Woody greets me with the same smile and welcoming spirit that I was used to. So after we get past the pleasantries The transcript below will express my frustration of how south the conversation went. Woody - "Are you here to buy or socialize". *Body language was reading why are you here and GTF outta my face Customer (Me) - Excuse me! Woody- Are you here to buy or socialize? *Body language read. "Why are you here and the GTF outta my face" Customer - I am here to discuss possibly trading in my car or buying a car straight out. But why are you question abrupt and rude? Why are you speaking to me in this way? Woody - You can leave. They have plenty of cars out and around this town, so go there to purchase them. *He position seemed as if I was wasting his time and he clearly didn't want anything to do with me. Since I was a person "To him" that he felt like didn't have any money and wasn't seeking to buy TODAY! I was worthless to him. *MY EYES WERE AS BIG AS SAUCERS NOW *Me* Absolutely disgusted with his tone...I responded Customer - Why are you talking to me in a tone that I don't appreciate. (Kenny) Give me my **** license I'm ready to go. I turn to woody after feeling underappreciated, embarrassed and cast out., I say "You done F*cked up". (Thinking how dare you to talk to clients this way it doesn't matter whether I have 2cents or 2 million dollars in my pocket I did nothing to deserve to be treated and talked to like that) Woody - Leave. Leave now! It is not going to be GOOD for you if you stay. You're a little boy! Go on get outta here, YOU FUCK FACE! (As he slams his hand on the desk; now standing and appears to be ready escort me out with his own hands) End of Transcript! I was spoken to as if I were the scum of the earth for inquiring about a purchase. Whether I was there to purchase or socialize that is your job as a car salesman to SALE CARS and part of that means helping the customer make a decision on buying. I was disgusted with the service I received from the same guy that asked me to come back when I was ready to buy. Here is the list of things that I received as a result of this interaction: 1. Condescending questions as if I were an imbecile 2. Idle Threats 3. Acts of Aggression (slamming his hand on the desk, telling me to get out) 4. Criticism 5. Treatment as if I were no better than a piece of trash Don't ask any questions, Don't Ask to drive the car, don't ask anything. In fact, I want you to come in here, give me your money, and SHUT THE F** UP otherwise YOU CAN GO AND BUY A CAR FROM ANY OF THE OTHER DEALERS AROUND HERE is this Dealer's mentality. Don't believe go and ask for WOODY! You will see for yourself.
