The bottom of our pizza was extremely burnt/charred in several spots, and for the price I expected much better. I understand some char is normal with this style of pizza, but this was beyond a little leopard spotting--it tasted burnt. Overall, I just don't think it's worth the price. I am so happy that I found this place! I stopped in because of the lunch special, which is a 10 inch cheese pizza and a soda and it came out to around $11 with tax. The pizza had a nice flavor and a very good sauce to cheese ratio. I am a sucker for a coal fired pizza, and it was ready quite quickly, which was nice on my lunch break. Had a great experience at Bucks Coal Fired Pizza. I've been wanting to try this place for a while. It's also easy to find and in a great location, right on the same road as Costco, Hobby Lobby, Chick-fil-A, etc., which makes it super convenient if you're already in the area...or headed to/from the airport! Just a few small things that could make the experience even better: * Offer samples! * Since it's an "open concept," it'd be good to remind the crew to smile, be friendly & overly helpful with guests. The pizza we ordered was very good and unique, not the best I've ever had but definitely tasty with a different spin than I've had before. The bake variance in what I received vs what I've seen on other reviews was pretty profound. The consistency seems limited, some pizzas are super charred, others are more on the lighter side. Ours was super charred, however it didn't really taste like it. The flavor was nice but the aesthetic was a little off putting. 85% of our crust was completely black/carbonized. Ultimately it was still very good and I would defintely return, the staff was friendly and even the pizza maker greeted us when we came in (not the owner, young guy -- very nice). I saw their instagram videos and their one bite reviews so I had to visit. I went on a Sunday around 1pm. They were pretty busy with barstools seating mostly full. There were two employees on staff one preparing the food and one expediting and cashiering. They were both very nice and friendly. There is a little kids toy area and a bench for sitting on while waiting. I ordered a meat lovers pizza for $28 and a brownie. Definitely on the high side of pricing my total was about $40. I was told that it would be about 15 minutes and it was. The store is a basic pizza shop with the bar seating mentioned. There is art for sale on the walls. The crowd was mostly families. The pizza was very good. Not a 9.0 as rated in one bite but a solid 7.6 I was surprised by how light the pizza felt in the box. It doesn't have that New Haven crunch but it is super thin, charred, and the crust has a good texture. It flopped slightly straight but not when folded. First bite was good the flavor is very good. As it cooled it got pretty oily somewhat from the toppings but more so in the sauce. I noticed that they put oil on the dough after they form the dough into a crust I'm guessing this is the culprit. Pizza wise, I would return, but not at these prices. In Palm beach county this is very good but not as good as Frank Pepe's in Delray. read more

This has to be the worst pizza I've had in my life. I ordered the pie and picked it up and did not open the box till I returned home. At that point when I picked up the box I thought they forgot to put the pizza in the box, it was so light. The first time I came, I tried just the cheese to make sure it would be a consistent pizza, which it was. I came another time and brought 11 people with me. Perfect amount of oil developed from the cheese, but not greasy. Next time we'll get the pep cups! IYKYK. Let him know how done or what kind of char you like on it, as it's coal fire. The garlic knots are great too. They also have great looking wings. (Check out their Instagram! That's how we found them.) We purchased bottled beverages. They may or may not have fountain. Service = We were there between lunch and dinner. Down time between rushes. Nice, friendly, engaging owner. Enjoyed his company. Ambiance = Nice. New. Clean. Well lit. As for seating, maybe 6-8 bar stools. No tables, window seating or outdoor seats for now. (They are on the other end of La Fogato Mexican restaurant which has been there for decades.
