Wife: "Best nursery with their own botanical garden!" We came here from King of Prussia Mall and that takes about 26 mins drive. After the mall, I wanted to bring my wife to someplace that she would really enjoy. She's an avid indoor plant collector and lover -preferably non toxic to cats. They do have a wide variety of plants and especially indoor plants. Pepperonias and the like. We didn't even explore the outside portion and it took her about an hour to explore the place thoroughly. At one point, we did get a bit lost. Also, at one point I saw a wandering cat somewhere. Looked cute and pudgy. The plants here are well maintained and managed. My wife even commented on how well they grow and she didn't even know some plants grew to those sizes. My wife is very particular with which plants go into her collection and does cost benefit analysis. The fact that she ended up buying two plants here is a good sign that the value is here. I love how there's barely any structure and you can truly just enjoy visiting this location It's a massive greenhouse with the most incredible selection of plants. It makes me want to buy a house with a yard and go full out with starting a garden They have numerous trees, flowers, succulents and plants that I have no idea what category they fall in. Even though I did not find any of my wishlist plants, what a fun place to explore!! I had a time limit because this was a pit stop for me but I think I could have roamed here for hours! so many hallways leading to another!! Ott's has such an amazing selection of plants and it's a great place for new and veteran plant parents. They have ones that are easy to care for and ones that are definitely more rare. The prices were not bad either for what you're getting. It's definitely a hike for some (like myself) but it's truly worth a visit. They do also sell outdoor plants/trees and pots including plants that are babies and mature. Wooweeee. This spot is becoming a local hotspot in the fall because of their beautiful, blooming mums. I've seen this spot recommended by local content creators on social media, and this is the second time I have been to Otts. This time around, I got to see the colorfully mums displayed outdoors and spent a majority of my time taking pictures out here! As you can see, it's very picturesque. this is such a cool place to go to if you're looking for a free fun activity with both indoor and outdoor options. Just walk around and admire the beautiful plants available at Otts exotic plants! The indoor is massive and you could easily spend 20 to 30 minutes walking around if your plant lover or a newbie plant mom like myself. There's a gorgeous super short indoor walkway that gives you rainforest type of vibe and my fiancé and I came here on a date day to take photos at the mum mountain. highly recommend a visit just to check it out and even buy yourself a plant. Depending on the people working it can up the service. However, I'm there for the plants and the selection is pretty amazing. I'm an indoor plant person so that's all I can speak on. They have a rare section behind the register with higher priced plants and they rotate the selection as they sell. The prices are average to other inperson places that I've seen around me. read more

I was really disappointed with my last purchase at Otts. I had loved this place, but I bought a bonsai tree for my husband for his birthday and it died within the first month after giving it to them him. I have a very green thumb, and I t was watered every day like they told me, and it was sitting a few ft from a double window. I drove back to get him a (hopefully free or at least discounted) replacement considering I spent over $70 for the plant, but they said it was my fault that it died, so they wouldn't do anything. Before we left, I saw Giant perennial Hibiscuses (which I've been looking for for a while) and ended up purchasing almost $200 of giant hibiscuses...and she still didn't cut me a break. It was so disappointing, because I have always enjoyed plant shopping there. I will wait to see if they respond to my review, and update my review based on the Customer Service I receive. read more

Ott's has been intriguing for a long time. It has a distinctive huge of greenhouse that you see when you pull into the parking lot. They have had displays here that rival Longwood Gardens, it for a while there things were getting very run down. It had been a few years since I've stopped here. I was so pleased to see things looking so great! You can tell that a lot of time and care has been put into getting things back in shape. My son loves to visit the indoor waterfall and see the koi. I marvel at the giant ferns. The greenhouses are packed with everything you could want. They have huge selections of flowers, house plants, herbs, succulents, bonsai and more. The staff was very friendly and would patiently answer any plant care questions. We had a great experience and brought home some beauties. During COVID, everyone is asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing. People were great about it. read more

If you're looking for some plants for your home, this is the place to go. Even though there is not much to explore, the greenhouse is amazing! I would not buy too much though because it is a little pricey. My husband and I bought two small cacti each and we still have them to this day. The displays are beautiful and it is also kid-friendly. Fabulous, clean and friendly. Wide selection of plants, pots, seeds, etc. Reasonable pricing too. Plenty of parking and carts to carry your selections. Loved the Koi pond and the walk through the "jungle". The exterior landscaping is also beautifly done. Most of the facility is wheelchair accessible with ramps and wide aisles. All in all it was a pleasant visit and we will return. The only thing missing was a coffee stand. That would have really topped it off. read more

Great place for the whole family! We came just to look around and they have the greatest plant selection anywhere! About about 4 large rooms full of plants, as well an outdoor display, and an additional room with supplies and accessories. The setup of the plant rooms is really cool. One room has a waterfall and a pond. The pond has fish in it! There's also a staircase to walk on top of the waterfall - a great adventure! Another room has plants set up in a circular maze type set up, it's a lot of fun to walk through. Outside they have a mountain with steps to climb on top. The view is amazing. There's also a cave you can walk through outside. Plenty of parking - a lot in the front of the store and also outside on the hill. You can walk through the cave to get from the hill parking to the plant shop. A great place for pictures, amazing plant selection, and everyone is so nice! read more

The pandemic has seriously turned me into a plant lady and Ott's Exotic Plants has slowly become one of my favorite places to visit. The nursery is beautiful, the plant selection is unreal, and the measures this nursery has taken to make this a safe place to visit during these troubling times is impressive. Although you will probably spend much of your time outside when visiting the nursery, you are required to wear a mask as soon as you enter their premises. Social distancing can be a bit tricky since it gets pretty crowded, but the way the plants and flowers are arranged makes it easy to weave in and out of places. Aside from plants and flowers, Ott's also has a big selection of pots, planters, plant food/nutrients and anything else you would need for plant care. Prices can get a little steep but you can tell that they take really good care of their plants and flowers which makes it worth it. I cannot end this review without a word about the staff because all the people I've talked to are so sweet and helpful! I purchased a Meyer lemon plant during my last trip and the two women I spoke with were so nice. They gave me thorough instructions on how to care for this plant, and told me to call them if I have any questions in the future. I'm looking forward to many more visits to the nursery this summer! read more

Went to see the Mum Mountain this Fall season Oct 20, 2024, not only were we absolutely impressed by the Mountain but the Greenhouse area with the Tropical trees and waterfall was breathtaking with other plants, flowers ,etc to see . Inside was like a miniature Longwood Gardens. Planning a Spring 2025 visit to purchase various items to accent our pool and patio area. Take a trip to Schwenksville where not only do they have an entire man made mountain full of colorful mums - that includes a tunnel going underneath but also nurseries, greenhouses and exhibits that include a koi pond and water feature. Plants of all varieties (and sizes) to be found here along with pumpkins & gourds of every shape, size and color. A local gem of a landmark that is a must see. read more

Highly recommend this stop if you're an indoor plant lover. So many hard to find plants at responsible prices, very comparable if not better pricing than Home Depot or Lowes.
