What a lovely place we have discovered. River front views and awesome food.....can't go wrong. My wife & I headed out on a jeep adventure Saturday and ended up here. (A river town on the outskirts of Cincinnati Metropolis to the east) Everything is made/cooked right here in house. From Sauces to smoked meats. We enjoyed the Poutine for a starter & I had the baby back ribs w/ grilled asparagus. My wife had the Pesto Turkey sandwich, which was hands down the best we've ever tried. The area along the riverfront has been under construction for some time, but it appears to be nearly completed. Make a point of coming out to support this & other locals spots as they weather the scaffolding & concrete pouring. Looks like it's going to be beautiful when it's done. Our waitress was very attentive and we were happy to share dog raising tips with each other. We'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. read more

I had dinner here this past weekend with my son and grandson. It was pretty good. We ordered the Pulled Pork Nachos appetizer. We ordered the small. It comes in two sizes and you have a choice of sauces. My grandson ordered the Grilled Mac'n Cheese with Waffle Fries - from the kids menu. My son ordered the Country Fried Steak with the Mac n Cheese and Rustic Mashed Potatoes. I ordered the Cuban Panini and a side salad. My son and I liked the pulled pork nachos appetizer quite a bit. We didn't leave a bite behind! My grandson liked his meal. My son liked most of his. He said the mac-n-cheese wasn't very good at all. My cuban panini was yummy. My son tried it, liked it and said he'd order it. The salad was fresh and I enjoyed it. My son looked at it and said, "You know I hate salad but that looks so good that I'd eat it." He didn't though. I hate that I didn't get any pictures for this review because the food is delicious and ridiculously inexpensive, and the view is lovely. We were seated quickly on a Saturday afternoon after attending the New Richmond pride event. Ashlee, our server, was friendly and vivacious and made us feel like we were right at home, despite it being our first time. I got the crab cakes (a weird thing to get I guess but I love crab cakes!). They had no right to be as good as they are at that low price. I also enjoyed the sweet potato fries and Diet Mountain Dew (here's the thing, restaurants with Pepsi - if you're going to disappoint me with Diet Pepsi, at least have Diet Dew to save the day. But I digress). It's a ways out of the way but totally worth it to enjoy the cute town of New Richmond, a view of the river, excellent service, and delicious, affordable food. Got the pulled pork sandwich, not sure what all the rave is about. I think the bun is homemade but it was hard and was falling apart as I ate. Only took a couple of bites. Our server made a few mistakes but she was pleasant. Onion rings were very good. Next time in town I'll try another local spot. Hubs had brisket platter and felt it was mediocre. Ambiance was fine. We had a party of six on the Fourth of July and were seated right away. This place has a close up view of the Ohio River which is great! Our food came out in a timely manner and was very good. I got grilled chicken, macaroni and cheese and broccolini. All very tasty. Everyone was pleased with their orders. Servers were very fast and smiling. We will be back. My only negative comment is the food wasn't as hot as I'd like but oh well it's a holiday and crowded. read more

Bucks had great service and fantastic food. The building was very nice and homey with a good atmosphere. The service was relatively quick and all the workers were very friendly. Our appetizer of the poutine was great in everyone's opinion. All the flavors went together well and my kid was happy that there were both cheese curds and tater tots in the app. The cod sandwich was pretty mediocre and bland, but it had a decently good size. The bun on the cod sandwich wasn't good in my wife's opinion; it wasn't a good bun for a fish sandwich and didn't add anything to the meal. My kid had the southwestern wrap which they said was awesome. The pulled pork was cooked great and very juicy which went amazing with the spicy salsa in the wrap. The side chips were basic but still good to contrast texture of the wrap. The Mac and cheese side was also delicious. It seemed to be homemade which made it taste ten times better, although it was a pretty small size if you think you might share it with someone. I had the catfish with tater tots. Our waitress recommended for me to get two pieces since she said one wasn't often enough, but one piece turned out to be plenty. It tasted great although one piece of the fish was broken in half. My only complaint is that our waitress forgot to bring me ketchup. She mentioned was having a bit of an off day so I understand her forgetfulness, but it was the only thing "wrong" with our visit. Overall, a very nice place to stop in for lunch on a nice day. The restaurant also has a nice view of the river with outdoor seating. It does get a bit loud and a little bit cramped, but it wasn't enough to make me complain. I would definitely go back again. read more

I was out and about and was near New Richmond. I was looking for a family owned place and this fit the bill. I opted for outside seating (they have a couple bistro tables out front and a couple of picnic tables on the side) but the bistro tables we taken and I wanted to be in the sun. There are some municipal "picnic tables" across the street, so, I asked if they would "deliver" to them. To my suprise, the answer was, sure! I just had to order it to go...so I did. I ordered the Riverside Classic, with bacon added...of course, and a side of waffle fries. The food was a smidgen slow (they said they were waiting on buns...so it was expected), but the wait was worth it. The burger was big, juicy and delicious...with 2 full strips of bacon...YUM! What a cute little eatery located in New Richmond located with a very nice view of the Ohio River. Small Kim and pop store with fantastic service, food and inviting atmosphere. We talked with the owner about bourbon for quite some time. The main reason for our visit was to try the cobbler but unfortunately they were out but we did get a very cute dessert that was an homage to Mardi Gras in a cinnamon bun made up as a mini King Cake. Starter was a decent sized order of deep fried cheese curds that were pretty darn tasty. I ordered the Big Buck Pup which was a delicious hot dog with a serving of pulled pork on top. The lovely Mrs ordered the Big Buck sandwich which she must have loved because she ate it all out oldest son joined us for dinner and he ordered Great Scott. For that, imagine a hamburger that reminds you of some seriously good meatloaf, with melted cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion with two grilled cheese sandwiches as the bun?! Yep, it was delicious. Like I mentioned, the service was very attentive and seemed to enjoy all my questions to the dismay of my family. She had to confirm everything with us multiple times because she forgot and then still brought the wrong drink. We shared the "poutine" and it was ok at best. We then had a chicken sandwich and a pork sandwich and neither were good. My bun was soaked and basically turned to a dough-ball. I'm not sure if there is anything better nearby but I would look elsewhere for a meal. read more

This is a charming little restaurant right by the river in New Richmond. It looks a bit dated outside but the interior is beautiful. I had a pulled pork sandwich with the Kansas City sweet sauce. It was excellent. The meet was tender and hot, and the bun was delicious. I'm not sure if the buns are homemade but they look at taste it. The sides are homemade as well, the mac n cheese is to die for, and the coleslaw was amazing too. Prices are very reasonable! My daughter and I went there for lunch today for the first time. It was delicious. I tried the cod sandwich and it was absolutely delicious, with homemade tartar sauce. I ordered the onion rings to go with it, and they were crunchy and delicious, but they could have been hotter, as they were pretty much room temperature. My daughter tried the panini, with a side salad and she absolutely loved it. The pesto mix aioli was delicious, and she asked for a little bit more of it and they politely brought it. We had wonderful service from Raven, and we cannot wait to come back and try other items on the menu. read more
