They have been downtown for years and this is my first time experiencing their food and let me tell you they are amazing I absolutely love their double-deckers air fries. Their double-decker's are big and juicy not all dry. You are getting your moneys worth with their food. I'm just sorry I never been in there sooner I will be back. Pass this place a lot but never been until opening day morning we decided to stop and eat before heading to the parade. The service was 1000% top notch we were with our 12 month old daughter and they treated her like an absolute princess. The food was simple yet great, this will forever be on our list of hidden gems and we will continue to visit whenever downtown. The service was speedy. My sandwich tasted great! The bacon was crisp and the tomato was fresh. The pickles were an upcharge but weren't great. They were standard pickle slices and not crunchy. They had a frozen yogurt to go that was the best I've ever eaten. I worked near here for twenty six years. I worked in Springdale for fifteen years and have been retired for twelve . They committed my cardinal sin of not having everything listed on their menu as they didn't have their bbq sandwich that I wanted to try. Nothing more nothing less. Presentation: Pretty basic plating as it's hard to have a fancy presentation with a sandwich and fries. Good enough. 6 out of 10 Taste/ Final Analysis: This was a good take on the classic grilled cheese. They put tons of bacon on here which is good. It was cooked right and had decent flavour. They used mostly swiss cheese and I think they may have had some American on there too although I'm not sure about the latter. The fries were pretty stock and one's you could get anywhere. Unfortunately I did not get a picture of our massive sandwiches! I got the Club (double decker) and it was amazing! They do shaved deli meat which is the best in my opinion. Fries were hot, service was fast and great, and it was a great price. Will definitely be returning. Red Fox Grill is another Downtown restaurant I make my way to at least once a month. This place, for me, is always a solid choice. Menu: Red Fox Grill offers the usual diner fare. I haven't seen much of a change in their menu in all the years I've been a customer. Food: Here's one part where the "Solid Choice" comes into play. I order the "2-3-4" Cheeseburger and fries almost every time. The burger is always good, and semi-sloppy -- just the way I like it. Everything is cooked and prepared where I can see it...which is a real plus. The fries are freshly fried and crispy. The only small drawback are the fries are a bit on the bland side. Atmosphere: The decor seems unchanged by time with no frills. However, it is what you would expect a diner to look like...except it is very clean. Service: I usually get my food to go, but on rare occasion, I eat inside the establishment. When I get my food to go the people who take my order are very friendly and accurate. When I had eaten in the restaurant, the waitress was stressed and didn't have much of a personality. I will say this for her, she was accurate and did check on us frequently...which helped make things better. Summary: I know what you may be saying -- why just 4 stars? This restaurant "only" accepts cash. A majority of Downtown restaurants accept both cash and credit card. While the restaurant is clean and the service is friendly, I ultimately left feeling disappointed. There is so much potential that seems to be squandered by lackluster food. The menu can be graciously described as your choice of prison food. In fact, I doubt the offerings have been updated since the last remodel of the restaurant (I'm guessing late 1980's...). This is not a place for those with discriminating taste - those who don't like relish in their egg salad - or those inclined toward healthier options. Although I can think of better ways to spend your money, it is relatively inexpensive and you don't have to guess at any of the words on the menu. It's simply a burger and sandwich diner, perfectly located for P&Gers who work at the downtown location. I got a burger and fries, and was satisfied with my meal. The burger was smaller than I expected and a little heavy on the mayo, but still tasted good nonetheless (next time I'll ask for mayo on the side). The fries were excellent - crispy, thin, reminiscent of McDonald's fries! (Don't even talk to me if you're not a fan of the fries at McD's...) Cash is king at this typical diner. Going here is an quick and easy way to fill up for cheap as long as you have cash. Their food is typical diner food, simple sandwiches and burgers and chips, fries, and cole slaw are your options for sides. You won't find any kale or fancy food pairings here, but were you really expecting that in the first place? I got the burger and fries when I visited and it came with a burger that was greasy and covered in mayo. It was good, but I have no illusions that it was healthy in any way. It came with a mound of shoestring fries that I couldn't seem to get through even though they were perfectly crispy. No matter what you order here though, it'll be inexpensive and even with tip you'll probably pay less than $10 for your whole meal. Service was quick and your check comes with your plate so make sure to pull it out from under your fries before it becomes illegible from the oil. Be sure to keep an ear out for the various P&G conversations you'll likely hear as this is a go-to lunch spot due to it's proximity to the company's HQ. read more

This place has the potential to represent classic Cincinnati but they have not gotten there. The food is clearly very cheap and a focus on ingredient quality is void. When asked if I wanted either Swiss or American cheese on my sandwich, I replied Swiss and got a processed tasteless white American cheese. Yuck. Red Fox is an old-school "grill"/diner specializing in burgers in fries - really great burgers and fries. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a quick and easy lunch downtown. Nice/friendly service, too. They do have other sandwiches like BLTs, turkey or ham - and they do NOT skimp on the meat. My turkey sandwich was HUGE - I had to disassemble to eat.
