This was my first time trying Buck's because it is always crowded. I usually go to Herbert's (the stand right in front). This afternoon, there was no line. All I require in a sno-ball is soft ice; and they delivered! I paid $2 for an 8oz wedding cake with condensed milk. Ice was not crunchy and the milk made it very creamy. There are many flavors to choose from and they also sell food, shakes, and sundaes. They only take cash.

I love coming here when I'm in the area. The prices are cheaper than most snowball stands and the ice is soft! They have a lot of different snack options like nachos, chips & hotdogs! Also love that they have a drive thru so you don't have to get out of the car when it's stupid hot outside

A westbank gem! Been coming here ever since I was little and it's still so good. Definitely worth the visit.

So close to my house and they also serve through drive through! My favorite was the pink lemonade and they have yummy one dollar hotdogs as well! If you're into more snack like stuff I recommend getting their Cheetos dripped with oozy cheesee! And they also only take cash!

One of my favorite snoball stands on the westbank. They have a variety of flavors to choose from and even serve snacks like nachos and boudin. They even have a convenient drive thru when you don't want the step out of your car. They have some seating outside when you want to enjoy your snoball in the shade. The stand is always packed with people but it's worth the wait. My favorite flavor is polar punch and their nachos are pretty good. The staff is pretty nice and they work fast even when it's busy. Love to come here on a hot summer day. You can keep up with their hours and when they close on their Facebook page

Long line with a drive though but well worth the wait! The nachos were bomb & I got a large rainbow snowball ,which you can make any flavor you want, and added cream and wedding cake the top was kinda hard like shaved ice but the middle was perfection just like I like em! I can never visit the boot without a snowball first one I had was in Houma 2015 it's been one of my favorite sweet ever since!

If the fact that I scarfed a medium rainbow snowball down in about 10 minutes is any indication, this might be my favorite snowball stand on the Westbank- so far. Located in the far back of a parking lot, Buck's serves a little bit of everything: ice cream, malts, nachos and, of course, snowballs. I decided to get my usual rainbow and the first thing I liked is that it was an actual rainbow and not just a pile of different colors that eventually turned brown. The ice was made with one of those snow wizard machines, so it was really velvety and fine. They were generous with the syrup and this was the perfect treat for a warm evening. They have a few benches outside for sitting and the whole operation is under and over hang, so you won't get too hot.

I like that it's drive through and a quick drive through at that. They have a system and it works. Now my second favorite on the West Bank.

Just your regular peach snoball! Best peach flavor in the WB!

There are sno-balls and then there's Bucks! The ice is better and that makes the difference.

The snowballs are great. The nachos are always old. The owner is very rude and needs to humble herself!

Once you eat their salted caramel ice cream, you'll never want anyone else's ever again. Their waffle cones are also made in house and they're delicious. We found Lucy Boone online, and hopped over since the reviews and photos looked good. Well, don't believe everything that you see online! The ice cream here really isn't very good, and our main complaint about it is that it's just not creamy. It has more of the consistency of a watery/diluted supermarket brand, and the flavors themselves aren't impressive either. Not trying to be mean--just being honest! Two of us shared their sampler, and we do have to say that we appreciated that as an option! The king cake was pure cinnamon, but the peanut butter nuddy buddy was really good--we'd say that was the best one of them all. The salted butter caramel was ho hum and the fourth flavor was so ho hum that we can't even remember what it was. Maybe nutella brownie?? Our daughter had the caramel in a cone and she said it was very small :( Oh, almost forgot to mention that on a holiday weekend, they had ONE person working, who was very sweet and clearly trying to do all the things. Needless to say, the place was pretty dirty and the (fake) marble tables weren't clean. The space is also kind of small and it doesn't seem like they've made the best use of it. While this place may look and advertise itself like an upscale hipster ice cream, it just does not deliver. We personally wouldn't recommend Lucy Boone, but it's not like you'll have a "bad" experience. It's just not worth it.

A couple of years ago, I had the pleasure of visiting New Orleans. While I was there, I…read moreexperienced some of the best ice cream I have ever had (Creole Creamery). Fast forward a few years, I am browsing an ice cream blog (theicecreaminformant.com), and come across a brand of ice cream called New Orleans Ice Cream Company. I had never heard of them before but their flavors seemed unique and I start craving a few of them. I was lucky enough to get my hands on some of it (Thank you, Adrian!) and started making my way through their flavors. New Orleans Ice Cream Company makes between16-20 different flavors of ice cream at any given time (They have some seasonal flavors). They stay local and make distinct New Orleans inspred flavors. Some of their flavors include, Cafe Au Lait & Beignets (Fantastic btw!), Coffee & Chicory, Creole Cream Cheese (Their most popular flavor), Ponchatoula Strawberry, Mardi Gras Pie, Praline Crunch etc. These ice cream pints are super premium ice creams which contain tons of flavor, great texture and the freshest ingredients they can get their hands on. It's not available in stores out here in AZ, yet, but if you want to get your hands on some of it, you can pick it up at icecreamsource.com. If you are an ice cream lover, you owe it to yourself to get a couple of pints. If you need a few suggestions, I would highly recommend the Cafe Au Lait & Beignets (Great coffee flavor, chewy donut pieces) , the Praline Crunch (Butter pecan tasting ice cream with candied pralines throughout) and the Baked Alaska (The owners favorite flavor which is packed with these crunchy meringue bits that are out of this world!). Any pint you choose, should be good. These guys are cranking out some of the best ice cream out there! I can't wait to make my way through the other pints that are sitting in my freezer. I have been extremely impressed so far and every pint I have tried, has been flat out delicious!

This brand can be a bit of a challenge to find and so far I have only seen it at local groceries like Rouse's, Zara's, Langenstein's, Dorignac's, Breaux Mart, Fresh Market, Winn-Dixie and Whole Foods. Their Po Boy Ice Cream sandwich is probably the finest ice cream sandwich I have ever had and I believe Parkway Bakery offers those also. I first tried their ice cream at a Yelp event and I have been a fan ever since. This stuff has to be really good to occasionally break me away from my normal Creole Creamery and Angelo Brocato's addiction.
