My cousin and I were craving something sweet and Creole Creamery filled this craving. As we pulled up I noticed the buildings 1940s/50s architecture and design. I love that they kept the history alive with keeping the outer structure intact. This continued inside the building with the strong red brick, long ice cream counter, and photos. The street was parked up, so we parked across the street, which had tons of open parking. Upon walking in we were encouraged to try samples. I tried their cookies monster and cookies and cream. The scoops were absolutely humongous. I was not sure if it was the server or just general custom to do that, but they were massive. The ice cream was very heavy and creamy. It was well apparent these were homemade just based on the texture and feel. The churro apple pie was definitely the preferred choice. The tiny pieces of crust and apple really made for a well put together ice cream flavor. The hint of cinnamon was nice too. The banana pudding was alright. I thought there could have been a tad more banana flavoring, but regardless, still tasty. I also tried the king cake, brown butter pecan, and a sample of pasta water. The king cake was alright, too orangey for my liking. The brown butter pecan was very delicate and extremely buttery and sweet, very tasty. The pasta water tasted exactly like pasta with butter. The menu does say that the scoops are a sample size and that they are small, but this is extremely small in comparison to what we receive usually at other creameries that we go to that have a sampler at all. There is free parking on the street, just in front of the creamery. They do have a restroom for customers.
