This is my favorite restaurant in Glasgow. Everything is so amazing from the food to the staff. It is kept nice and clean and you don't have to wait long at all for your food(though it is completely worth waiting for!) Went there today with my wife about midday and ordered their mammoth sampler. We enjoy trying barbecue when we travel and I have been doing barbecue and making my own sauce and rubs for over 25 years.. I'm sorry to say that it seemed as though by mid afternoon the pork shoulder, pork chop and ribs tasted and felt like they have been on a steamer tray since noon time. They were all hard and dry.. The chicken breast was cut into cutlets and also were also dry.. Their chopped beef brisket was tasty but tasted more like pot roast. None of the meat tasted as though it came off a smoker. This is the perfect place to stop for food after a day at Mammoth Cave! Honestly, we were just looking for the first thing we could find, as any food options at the park were either closed or had crazy lines. We were able to be seated right away, and had our food within 15 minutes.... these people are SPEEDY! The food is really great too... All kinds of bbq options, they also have burgers, ribs and other great options. I tried the ribs, and they were fantastic....the meat was really tender, and their sweet and spicy bbq sauces were so good! BBQ joint located right off the expressway exit of cave city Kentucky. My family and some family friends stopped in here after doing a cave tour at nearby crystal onyx caves. We came In Here around 430 pm on a Wednesday evening and we was the only patrons here. So they put down tables together and sat us down. The decor here is really cool with vintage Elvis stuff and some classic sports pics. But mainly lots of Elvis stuff. Between our group we sampled 3 apps. The mozzarella sticks, fried green tomatoes and fried pickles. I only personally Tried the mozzarella sticks. They was solid. Most the cheese was oozes out so that was unfortunate. But solid taste. Per the family and friends The tomatoes were just ok and the pickles were real good. The tomatoes stuck together so the batter wasn't cooked in between them. For my entree I got the bbq tacos and it was really good. Unique meal and had nice sweet taste to it. My wife got the sampler and said the shoulder and pulled pork was good. The ribs were not. They were very dry. I tried them and I concur. They aren't very good. My oldest daughter got a cheeseburger and she thought it was good. Very large burger. My youngest two got kids grilled cheese and nuggets. The nuggets like the ribs were dry and not good. The grilled cheese was just solid. Overall it's a nice place with a cool vibe and we got good service. The pricing wasn't bad at all especially in an attraction part of town. The food unfortunately overall was not great. Service was good and all the waitresses were kind but the food here was not very good. I had a pork chop with green beans,baked beans and corn bread. The pork chops were the only good part of our meal, though it was sadly ruined by the flies in the restaurant landing on it. The green beans tasted straight from a can without even any salt. The baked beans also tasted and looked like straight from a can except they added some chunks of cooked hamburger which was not very good. The beans were kinda pale and a bit watery. The corn bread was dry without much flavor in general. My husband had the brisket which he said was not just fine and his sides also were not very good. I could tell just by looking at his potato salad that it was bad, the potatoes were so perfectly cubed that I could tell they were undercooked (which he verified they were undercooked) and it was soupy looking. I had a bite of the mac and cheese and it was fairly bland. My kids had nuggets and hot dogs, the nuggets were fine but I didn't taste the hot dog, though my daughter ate it all. Overall it was a lot of misses in our meal and it was pretty disappointing. we did come at 2 on a monday so idk if it was just not a great kitchen staff at that point but wow, it was amazing to me that a 4/5 star bbq place could mess up almost every single thing. read more

Found this place as we road tripped back from Mammoth Caves off the side of the highway. We were seated quickly and water came to us quickly. The decor had a lot of great local flair and I appreciated the information about the owners which made makes me smile going to a local place! SHOP LOCAL! This is clearly a great favorite and it was packed. I ordered online and it was quick and easy! I like how the app worked. I understood all my options (and there are lots! ) The Boston butt was excellent. Flavorful. Sauced well. A nice bit of char on small areas but overall tender. The potato salad was great, chunky, creamy and well seasoned. What didn't work for me was the Mac n cheese. It was too much Velveeta type cheese and not enough noodles or flavor. The baked beans were more like bbq beans and also very saucy. Maybe baked beans in Kentucky are more bbq. I'm used to different baked beans. These tasted ok just so much sauce compared to beans. There was a case of great looking pies, cakes and icecream inside so I'd definitely go try more meats and sides and pie! The "Texas Toast" I believe was wonder bread, Texas would NOT be proud, one side toasted and the other not so much, it also barely has any flavor. The smoked cabbage was good. Service was prompt and friendly, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. I had the pulled pork platter, my son ordered the brisket platter, and my husband had the pulled pork sandwich. Our sides were cole slaw, baked beans, and mac n cheese, all delicious. FYI, the slaw is a sweet, creamy style, so if that's not your thing, choose another of their sides. The baked beans have some of their shredded BBQ in them, which I like (some folks don't). The BBQ was hot and juicy, and they have bottles of their sauces on your table, so you can go nuts if you like a lot of it. One last FYI, your bread choices are Texas toast and cornbread. But the cornbread is a johnnycake. Granted, I like johnnycakes, but some people are not fans. The meal was filling without being heavy. And I could have had a gallon of that sweet tea!
