The food was okay... nothing to write home about, but not gross either. Our server was friendly enough. The ambiance was your typical Mexican restaurant, lots of brightly colored decor. I would eat here again if there wasn't anything else around, but it wouldn't be high on my list.

The best guacamole I've had in years. So good! Fish tacos were also excellent! Server was attentive and efficient. Restaurant is clean. I would happily come back. Very good! The initial salsa was interesting, but not bad. My daughter's cheeseburger was what I expected in a Mexican restaurant. They even had good quality bun for it. My husband enjoyed his enchiladas. The horchata had a different flavor, I'm not sure what else was added, but I should have read the menu before ordering it because 32oz was a lot and it has a soda type taste. Overall, very happy about our dinner.

Food extremely salty no flavor whatsoever Chili or not stuffed peppers Service OK but slow Will not be back again Rating one star no stars possible $$$$ not worth the money

Large portions - enchiladas supremas has five - one of each kind (bean, cheese, beef, chicken and shredded beef) and the carnitas were great. Shrimp in the quesadilla was slightly overcooked and the horchata (32 oz in cold mug!) was a bit sweet for me (prefer more balance with cinnamon). Still not enough to ding a star. Maybe quieter and more attention from staff vs. the competition down the street.

Simple, delicious tex-mex fare. Large portions, very reasonable prices, and friendly staff. Couldn't ask for a better local joint.

After several days of Southern comfort food (and enough fried food to last me a while ), Napoli's…read morewas exactly what we were hoping to find. The menu is enormous and honestly rivals some of the Italian restaurants back home in Los Angeles. We were surprised to see entrées here that we don't even find at some of our favorite Italian restaurants in LA. Everything we ordered was beautifully prepared and fresh. The tortellini was rich without being heavy, the veal was perfectly cooked, and even the cannoli was outstanding. It felt like a restaurant that genuinely takes pride in its food. The highlight of the evening, though, was Alessandro. He shared stories, made us laugh, and immediately made us feel welcome. When my husband asked for ranch dressing with his salad, Alessandro smiled and said, "Welcome to Kentucky!" I guess he knew right away we weren't locals. What started as a search for a break from all the fried food around here turned into one of the best meals of our trip. If you're anywhere near Glasgow, don't miss this hidden gem.

Sitting unassuming along Happy Valley Road, Napoli's Italian Restaurant is Glasgow's answer to a…read moreclassic, white-tablecloth trattoria. While the exterior might suggest a standard small-town eatery, the interior transforms into an intimate escape, complete with soft lighting and a warm, countryside charm that feels surprisingly sophisticated for Barren County. Here is our experience based on a recent visit starting with our Appetizer: Stuffed Mushrooms, We began the evening with the Stuffed Mushrooms, a dish that sets a high bar for the rest of the meal. These aren't your typical breadcrumb-heavy fillers; instead, the silver-dollar caps are generously packed with a savory blend of crab meat and herbs, then bathed in a rich, velvety sherry pink sauce. The sauce is the real star--creamy with a slight acidic brightness that cuts through the richness of the seafood. It begs to be mopped up with a piece of their warm, house-made garlic rolls. For our main course, the Lobster Ravioli was an absolute triumph. The pasta arrived perfectly al dente, housing a delicate, buttery lobster filling. What elevates this dish above standard fare is the presentation; the ravioli are tossed with chopped tomatoes and fresh basil, then smothered in that same signature pink sauce found in the appetizers. It's a decadent, "more-is-more" approach to Italian dining that feels celebratory. The portions are notably large--typical of Napoli's reputation for value. We selected the Limoncello Mascarpone Cake for dessert. To cleanse the palate after a symphony of cream and garlic, the Limoncello Mascarpone Cake is essential. It's a light, airy sponge cake layered with a tart lemon mascarpone cream and finished with a dusting of white chocolate shavings. Unlike a heavy cheesecake, this dessert is refreshing and bright--a citrusy "exclamation point" at the end of a heavy meal. Napoli's succeeds because it doesn't try to reinvent the wheel; it simply polishes it. Between the attentive, friendly service and a menu that leans heavily into authentic, "made-from-scratch" flavors, it remains a hidden gem for anyone in the Somerset or Lexington area looking for a short drive to a high-quality meal.

My husband ordered the snapper and thinking it was going to be a whole snapper with the head and all. Nope! It was a filet snapper on top of a bed or risotto. It was seasoned well and the risotto was creamy to perfection. The manager is amazing and this place is a perfect fit here in Bowling Green. If y'all ever have time and looking for ....... I had the fried shrimp, and they clearly were NOT just frozen shrimp they'd bought somewhere and fried, these seemed homemade. . .definitely NOT typical mass-production shrimp. The food was pretty good. There's two things I would list as downsides, however. The first is that the wait for service was pretty long. It was quite a long wait from when I ordered until I got my food. That's a minor downside, given the quality. I got the picture they might not have a robust back-of-house staff. The second, and bigger downside is. . .I didn't go there expecting a seafood place! The well-worn sign out front still says "Deez Butts" BBQ, and I'd followed signs from the freeway exit thinking I was going to a barbecue joint. When I stepped inside, I pieced together as I was standing in line that the BBQ had closed and this was now a seafood place. It was good food, but I was expecting barbecue and was too hungry to bother hunting for another place to eat. I was left wondering if they couldn't afford to change the (well worn) sign out front. It just seemed a little odd that the sign out front is for a barbecue joint, but it's a seafood place inside.

We had been avoiding it like the plague since then, because why would I want to give my money to some jerk off who thinks we're "inbreds" (his words, you can look it up). All that said, we were talking to some friends the other day and they said we should try it again because the seafood selection was fantastic, soooooo we decided to hit it up for our anniversary. We got the oysters, and they were some small guys but out waiter Eli (ask for him) said that they were easy coast even though they typically get west coast. It was nice to have a knowledgeable wait staff that was super friendly and happy to talk through anything with us that we had questions on. We got the steak and sea bass and both were great! Creamed spinach and baked potato as sides were a good call as well. We took some friends with us and one of them got the shrimp and grits, and those grits were LEGIT. Soooooo, if you're looking for a fine dining experience in Bowling Green you could really either do Tony's or Hickory & Oak. In my opinion, Hickory & Oak gets my vote because Josh is one of us and I doubt I'll ever read any articles about him ripping off his employees or calling Kentuckians names, but this experience was so good at Tony's that I might swallow my pride here and there and stop in every once in a while for a delicious steak or some really great bourbon and wine.

I ordered a chicken quesadilla and two steak tacos off the à la carte lunch menu (until 3pm daily). There was a $0.99 upcharge each for grilled vs shredded chicken and carne asada vs ground beef, and it was totally worth it. My daughter ordered two grilled chicken quesadillas as well. And our friends ordered beef nachos and a fajita platter. All of it was delicious, with large portions. I had a couple of house margaritas, which were tasty and a steal at just $5.50 each. My only complaints were that the queso dip was rather small and not worth the $5, and (like most places) they charge way too much for a soda ($3.25). The service was excellent.
