Very tasty spot! Love the breakfast. Super sweet lady works here and is a hustler! They need more help. It's older and has a country feel. I'm looking forward to trying their lunch and supper buffets. Cheap prices.

Very nice happy staff very welcoming even to us being outsiders for the time being had a breakfast buffet, amazing biscuits and gravy. You just can't beat the biscuits and gravy. It was amazing. The sausage patties were a little overcooked. I think it's just because they were sitting under the heat lamp. I liked the bacon my husband thought it was a little overly done, a little too crunchy for his liking the French toast sticks while they were good you can tell they've been sitting there for a little bit they got a little hard on the ends, but for the price you really just can't beat this breakfast. We would definitely come back when we come back through this area. Highly recommend anybody to stop again very nice Staff little downfall was the bathroom. Bathrooms were very dirty. The trash needed to be taken out needed a good scrubbing, and the toilet toilets were so soiled unfortunately

There odd only one reason I am not giving a 5 star and that's because the limited offering on the buffet bar. First off as soon as you walk in it's a little, errr ok a lot dated but that gives to the ambiance of this place. It's a quaint little place with nothing fancy on the walls but enough of that small time charm to be cute. The menu was limited as the server informed us that Labor Day whipped them out but she was amazing and on top of everything. The service was prompt and quick. Food was hot and great flavor, they also had about 3 people greeting everyone. It had that small town atmosphere that I loved. Will definitely be back. Missed out on the banana pudding so next time it's on!!!

    Fried pickles!!

$10 buffet unlimited salad bar and fried cat fish. Or menu with one trip to the salad bar - though there isn't a lot to choose from but if you're a fan of burgers and onion rings this place is sure to please. Friendly service, large parking area, great for large parties or if you're on the road, quick stop warm food place that serves breakfast all day. Clean, with windows all along one side of the restaurant with a nice view of the roadways. Wish they had beef liver :9

They gave us more than enough food and the jelly was so delicious.

We went here during our stay at Jellystone park - it is less than one mile away - The food was great !! With HUGE portions ! I had a veggie omelette and hashbrowns, and i had biscuits and gravy and hashbrowns, which came with two huge biscuits and a double sized bowl of gravy. He didn't even eat 1/4 of it it was wonderful the whole experience.o

Hot vegetables on the buffet. Corn, apples, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans.

A good stop when traveling. The restaurant serves a buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and also has a menu with sandwiches and other items. I have only ever had the buffet. Went for the lunch buffet. I love the salad bar. Vegetables are fresh and tasty. Hot foods today included fresh corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, fried apples, rolls, fried boneless pork chops, and fried catfish. Desserts included banana pudding and peach cobbler. I tried a little bit of everything and ate until I was full. The food here is a good value for lunch, and the staff are really friendly.

Wasn't sure what to expect from this place. It looked huge and not very busy for mid week. But the area looked like it probably gets busy on the weekends. Sharon was our waitress and she was kind and sweet and couldn't ask for a better mid-day server. The food was good the catfish fried to perfection and the veggies tasted fresh. Glad we stopped

Chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, Mac and cheese, buttered roll. Side salad. Sprite. Soooo good!!

The staff was super friendly, even if they don't know what a card catalog or the Dewey Decimal system is. There were couches and tables and vast variety of seating options. They have a super cute "shop" area. Left with some fun snarky stickers too. I had a cinnamon roll latte and it was amazing. I asked for mine with no maple and they happily obliged me. I needed protein so I had the Trailblazer wrap that had chicken in it. It was packed full of a delicious combination of flavors and sauced with the perfect amount of sriracha mayo. It came with a healthy portion of chips. I forgot to take a pic until I had eaten half. It was sooo good. We asked the staff for recommendations for other good places to eat in the area. Let's start with the expected: chicken fried chicken was amazing. The loaded fry appetizer also amazing. Sides were great. Mac and cheese and green beans both well above average to me. The waitresses were all so helpful and sweet. But let's talk about the other amazing part. This place feels right out of a post apocalyptic movie! If you've ever wanted to feel "out of this world" or in a community fenced off from the zombie apocalypse and struggling to make you feel some normalcy in your life... THIS IS THE PLACE. My goodness I loved it. An old couple in the corner was playing some Garth Brooks covers to set the mood. A "straight from the 80s arcade room" in the back had some flashing lights shine through the doorway into the main dining room. Also... this place was packed. The dusty parking lot did not have a single spot for us open and we had to wait on a parking spot. No wait when we got inside luckily. But back to the post apocalyptic vibe... I really can't explain it much better. The 80s arcade... the wood paneling on the walls. The old toy heavy machinery and trains lining the walls. The smell of the food thickening the air. Even the staff... all unique as can be!!! Don't forget the overstock Christmas plates they pulled out for us to use!!! Highly recommend this place for the food... but if you've ever wanted to experience what a restaurant would be like after the zombies take over... Give yourself a treat and come here!!!

It smelled great and the food we seen delivered to other tables also looked great. We got a sample platter with ribs and brisket. The ribs were over cooked and chewy and the brisket was a lot of fat. My son and I both wanted to try the brisket so he got the platter and I chose the sandwich. I was told they make most of the sides that aren't fried options such as tater tots, which I was happy about. They had the classic barbecue sauce on the table as well as a spicy option. Both were equally delicious. My sandwich came on Texas toast, which is a fave. The portions were a great value as they do not skimp! The fried potatoes are made in house and they were delicious. Even though they don't make the onion rings in house they were also quite good. My one disappointment was, they don't make the majority of their desserts. And the menu states that their daughter-in-law Kayle makes different desserts daily and they didn't have that. They were actually out of several desserts, which was disappointing. Since the only ones they had were not ones made in house I chose to not get one. Since we live 3 1/2 hours away I guess I'll have to give it another shot for the dessert option next time around. Overall, the place was terrific and the folks were friendly. They have a salad bar in the middle of the floor, which is a nice touch. They have a very laid-back atmosphere and it is definitely family friendly. And you definitely get good size portions for the money.

Today we had the best Cracker Barrel experience ever at the Cave City, KY location…read more Quick backstory: today was the big ice/snow storm sweeping across the U.S. Our family was vacationing in Florida when our flights were canceled, and the airline offered zero real help. So we made the tough call to drive from Florida to Chicago -- a 16-hour journey. As we headed north, the weather kept getting worse. After about 8 hours, we decided to stop and rest, hoping the roads would improve the next day. They didn't. Instead, we were met with glistening ice-covered forests and roads that looked like they were made for ice skating. Nearly everything was closed -- McDonald's, restaurants, even gas stations (thank goodness for Buc-ee's). Then, like a miracle, we found Cracker Barrel open for business. From the moment we walked in, the hostesses greeted us with warm smiles and seated us by the fireplace. Every single person we interacted with showed true Southern hospitality and genuine kindness. It felt less like stopping at a restaurant and more like being welcomed in from the storm. The food was exactly what you'd expect -- consistently amazing -- but the service is what truly stood out. In the middle of a stressful, exhausting journey, this place gave us comfort, warmth, and a much-needed sense of care. If you're ever near this location, expect great food -- but more importantly, know that you'll be in very good hands. Sincerely, Your friends from Chicago!
