Terrible service department. Took car in for 100k service and rear differential is leaking after we got our car back. Trying to get ahold of someone on the phone in service is next to impossible. They told me several times they would come to my house to fix it and that I shouldn't drive it anywhere. They never showed up to fix it. And very unhelpful. 1. They are not good at communicating. The dealership was empty all weekend. But took hours to get back to me about my application. 2. They got confused on whether or not they actually ran my credit? So they told me they were working on it all day Saturday 11AM to 5PM to then tell me they never actually sent the application? And could not find it. 3. The sales person didn't even know what car I was actually looking at 4. I was buying out of state. The sales rep did not inform me on the out of state protocol when buying a car until after my credit was run 5. The sales representative was skewing numbers 6. The manager of sales what defensive and disrespectful when I asked why certain pieces of information weren't given to me up front 7. The sales rep told me I would most likely need a co-signer... I said okay I can do that. Assured me the co-signer didn't need to be in person. That was a lie. I was told what I wanted to hear. The service department is so unorganized and lack of staff, the technicians left my car worse than how I brought it in and spoke to manager Luis and he is rude and uncooperative taking no accountability for his staff. I do try to go to small down companies to help keep business local. It keeps getting harder and harder to do so. I know companies are short staffed but just have respect for peoples time. Why make an appointment to just have the car sit outside for 2 hours. Asked how it was coming and said let me check with tech. I said no need as it's sitting right there. I asked why it hasn't been looked at and no response besides we can reschedule. I'm like to sit here again? They could have at least said we don't have anyone for two hours and come back. I had a pretty good experience here. Alternator and battery went out less than 48 hours of buying my car. Jason took care of it. They drove a 100 miles with a loaner, and took my car to Moses. Happy with that part. If I had one complaint up to this point, and im seeing the common denominator here... The females answering the phones are horrible. Rude!! I asked for Jason, and wansnt sure what dept Jason worked in. She hung up on me. I called back and she answered again. Would not give me her name. You have an employee there handling calls, that should not be there. I did not deserve to be hung up on. Nothing more unprofessional than a CSR hanging up on customers, trying to reach an employee. My Elderly Mother went here for an oil change on a Toyota with around 75K Miles. Told she needed $3500+ in repairs and then sold her on $600 when she resisted. I am sure that is the tactic - scare them with the big number and follow up with something that is equally ridiculous but trick them into thinking it is a reasonable deal. Predatory. On an old woman. I was forced to go to Bud Clary of Toyota for post 5000 mile service for my 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Platinum which was making a thump or small pop sound after getting the tires rotated in Olympia Washington. since I was traveling I could not go back to Olympia after hearing the pop after service. Turns out a rock ricochet up in the front compartment which should not happen. I felt once found it should have been removed as a new Toyota customer and send me on my way with no charge since this should not happen. The service representative Jose acted as if he was put out to deal with a new Toyota sold by someone else, then charged me $107.00 to remove the rock causing the noise after two visits. They then test drove it down a muddy road and returned my spotless vehicle back to me muddy. Then said they do not do customer washes and gave me a complimentary wash across town that did not include a tire scrub. Jose has the responsibility to care for ALL new Toyota's customer owners and treat the vehicle with care. Not just what was sold there at Bud Clary. Total BS care for a new Toyota! read more

We bought a new RAV4 at this dealer. There are 2 Toyota dealers in Spokane where we live. We got a quote with little price breaks and a very low on our trade-in RAV4. I got referred to Bud Clary on some online auto site. They beat my best Spokane offer by a fair amount and gave me a Kelly Blue Book price on our trade-in based on pictures I sent. The online sales gal was great and showed us all the features of this super modern vehicle. Only bummer happened when we came to pick up the car the second key fob was missing. Long story short we had to take a half day off work to drive back to the dealer to get 2nd key programmed. It took 2 hours! Sales lady said she would follow-up with any questions, never did, and didn't bother to find us while we were at our appointment. read more

The service department is rude, incompetent and unprofessional Who ever answers the phone in the service department (female), needs to find a new profession. She will not even take 2 seconds to listen to your problem. She rudely just repeats the same line, "you just have to make an appointment!" I have even brought in a detailed list describing the problems with the vehicle and what parts to replace or test. That has proved futile, she either won't listen or won't forward the information to the mechanics. Every time we had service work done on our vehicles, it always ends up in a confusing mess. Absolutely AWFUL customer service and communication!!!! I had to call them to find information out when they would tell me that they would get ahold of me as soon as they found out anything! They told me I was approved initially for certain down payment and monthly payment just to tell me that they never had said that, saying that's what I had requested even though the "approval" was way more then what I initially told them I could do. They ended telling me after 5 days that because I had just switched jobs after all that wasting my time that the bank wasn't going to approve me even thought the prior couple days Sam the salesperson kept asking me each day when could I come by and sign papers, that she had the car up front with both sets of keys and then I was LITERALLY almost there and she tells me oh wait we have to fix a few things come tomorrow! I agree that if customers are heading into the wrong service area, than they need to be directed to the proper service area but it seems achievable to me that proper signage would suffice 95% of the time. Last week I posted a review about a negative experience I had at the dealership. A couple of days later Jason the internet sales manager contacted me and asked for a chance to make things better. We talked back-and-forth over the phone and email and that is exactly what he did - he made things better. They acknowledged their mistake and apologized. We went back to the dealership yesterday and we had an extremely positive experience. We are now new owners of a brand new Toyota Highlander hybrid. Bud Clary Toyota - Car Dealers Near Me - Moses Lake, Washington

My 2004 Prius broke down in the desert about 50 miles from Bud Clary Toyota. All the warning lights showed on dashboard. The car was towed here as it was the closest Toyota dealer. When I arrived the dealership was closed. So I put my keys with a note saying we were stranded and from out of town in the early bird slot and hoped they would get to it early the next day. We found a hotel about a mile up the road as we were stranded. The next day I called them 2 hours after they opened asking them the status of the car. After going through a phone tree Dina the service coordinator said she saw the note and would try to fit the car in to diagnose the problem. I called again 2 hours later and was frustrated by the phone tree so I walked down there to see what was the status. Still not taken in the shop for diagnosis. 2 hours later still no call so I started to walk down there again but got a call saying they put the car in and diagnosed the problem as a stroke sensor worn out, $500 total charge. Also the ECU total charge $3000. I told her the car is only worth $1500. She said she would talk to the service mgr. and tech. She called back about 30 minutes later saying she was at lunch when she received the paper work. That the stroke sensor ($500) was all that it needed but they did not have it in stock, they would order it it could take one to two days to get it. Great! another 1 to 2 nights at the hotel about 2 miles from town. I have to give Dina some kudos for finding the part and overnighting the part to Moses Lake and getting me on the road by 10 am the next day. My suggestion to Bud Clary is get rid of that phone tree and have direct call to service rep. And better communication between customer and rep. read more

Sold me a lemon. Complete money pit. I was in a state of stress at time of purchase (I live in Seattle but my car broke down and totaled near Moses Lake) and they knew this so they took complete advantage of that. Sold me a used Nissan Altima with a black book value of $2500 but they valued it at $5200. I was an idiot for ever buying it at that price in the first place, especially after finding out the car burned oil like no ones business and needed a new engine which would be more than the value of the car. In reference to the service center - horrible customer service. Every time. The attitude of the employees is antagonistic and lacking in any desire to educate their customers on the repairs being done. And to top it off, I stood at their service desk for 15 min. until an employee decided to acknowledge my existence (there were several standing around). In reference to the Toyota car itself, I have purchased 3, and after this recent purchase I will NEVER buy a Toyota again. Everything on this car is breaking, despite the fact that I drive like a grandma and consistently take it in for regular servicing. Nothing is made to last anymore!!!!! I am so disappointed with the service department. I came 7 minutes late, at 9:47 am on Saturday which I called and gave them a heads up about. They said that it was ok. The service department lady was very rude kept emphasizing on how late I was and kept saying that if I wasn't this late that they can still take me in. She took about an additional 20 mins to see if she can still take my car in for an oil change. Which she said since I was late now she's going to need me to r/s on Monday. She also tried to charge me for an oil change that I did not need to pay for. Also, she kept talking about" if her manager wouldn't have called in sick like usual on a Saturday then everything would go well today". I ended up getting an oil change, only after I let her know how unhappy I am with her customer service, she smiled and said she's sorry but kept saying to herself "just bite your tongue don't say anything to her" right in front of me!!! We had a great experience with Adrianna, a spunky young woman, who made the experience fun and who never pressured us to do anything(!). So.............we ended up buying a beautiful Camry Hybrid. She did not always have an immediate answer to our questions, and she was not shy about asking her more experienced staff members for help; I always appreciate someone with the ability to say "I don't know" (but I'll try to find out), so kudos to her for that! Service department is a joke. My family has bought two vehicles from this dealership, sales team is the complete opposite as they are one of the most accommodating and helpful people. We service one of our vehicles at this dealership frequently. Most recently we noted a foul smell and upon inspection of the engine area, the oil cap was not screwed on and oil was all over the engine. This being a fire hazard we tried contacting the dealership. All morning long we tried getting in contact with a manager but no one was available. Excuse after excuse was made. There was one lady who had zero customer service and was not friendly at all kept telling us that we never serviced the vehicle there. All we ever wanted was accountability in the issue and the engine cleaned and double checked for safety. When we have proof of having the vehicle serviced here and then trying to lie yourself out of it is not a good business model. We had to take a day off work to fix this issue that couldn't of been prevented. read more

What a joke of a dealership. Went to a "big" dealer to not get the run around and bs you do from most car dealers. Was great talking with salesman. Oh truck is great runs and drives good no issues, just waiting on a turbo replacement. Then came the paperwork. This part i guess was my fault and I'll take the blame here, thought I was signing loan application papers (like i have a few times with other dealers), got a few pages in and realized it was the actual loan agreement papers, ok fine gave it the quick thought, ok interest is reasonable for my situation and signed them, knowing i was paying a fair price and truck was in top 5 of the 75+ I've looked at in last 6 months. but was waiting on service dept to install new turbo, so would be a week or so before i could take possession, no big deal. Should have tore papers up right there when they can't take 4 seconds to explain what your signing. But you know everyone buys a car 8 times a year and knows exactly what the process is at every dealer.. Typical car saleman I guess, get the papers signed and deal is done, they have their money. Whatever I can get over that part, I could have walked. Here we are almost 3 weeks later still no truck in sight. Still getting the maybe tomorrow we'll have it ready for ya. Then the salesman, won't give you the time of day nor actually verify with service dept on the status of the repair. Lies about what is actually happening. Week 2 of waiting, was told by salesman truck just got finished all is left is a detail! Sweet! Make plans, tell my boss don't have that stuff shipped out for $1500, I'll drive 4 hours and pick it up myself so we can get up and running faster! Yeah that was dumb, little did i know the amazing salesman didn't even talk to service dept about the status of said repairs. Thankfully haven't been fired (yet) but said lie caused over a week delay in shipment because it took another day to get the real story of repairs and somehow their diesel techs don't work for 5 days straight. In short. Trust no one. Pay cash. Buy new. Don't sign papers untill said vehicle is parked out front waiting for you to finish paperwork. Don't take the word of a single person that works in a dealership. Will never recommend Bud Clary dealership to anyone and certainly will never step foot on their property again. read more

I really can't say enough good about this dealership. I have family members who have bought from Bud Clary, but since I live in the Tri Cities, it was convenient to shop for a new car in the Tri Cities. I was pretty set on a 2014 Avalon XLE Premium, but the TC dealer did not have the color combination I wanted in stock. However, he had one already "on it's way" from the factory, so I put down a refundable deposit to reserve it and the salesman was supposed to be in touch. After a week of thought and no word from the salesman, I decided that I wanted Navigation, so I called him up and asked if I could have Navigation in the one I reserved...he told me no. When I said I definitely wanted Navigation, he just told me to wait till the car arrived and then decide, but he couldn't give me an ETA. Now, the XLE Premium is a nice car, but I felt it would be worth the extra money to get a Touring or Limited, both of which have Navigation and are a bit more expensive. He never offered to find exactly what I wanted and do a dealer trade or work with me at all (you'd think he'd be happier to sell me a more expensive car). He just wanted to sell me what was already on his lot or coming to his lot, which put me off a little. So, I went back and got my deposit back. To their credit, they were totally cool about refunding it. Family members encouraged me to contact Justin Schindler at the Bud Clary dealership. Man, I am glad I did. I called him on a Wednesday and told him what I was looking for. He looked around and found me exactly what I wanted and gave me their bottom dollar quote (WELL below MSRP) along with what they would give me for my trade-in, both very reasonable. He then worked out a dealer trade and was even able to send one of his guys to pick it up on the West Side the very next day! It was ready for me to pick up on Friday (just two days after calling him for the first time). Justin came in on his day off so I could get my new car before the weekend. He took his time explaining how to use all the fancy features and made sure I was happy. Justin is efficient, patient, thorough, honest, and a good communicator. He will not give you the runaround or pressure you to take what's on the lot if it's not what you want. So, long story short, I highly recommend Bud Clary Toyota. Ask for Justin and you're sure to have a good experience! read more

Our car broke a week ago. We had it towed from Lowe's. Parts had to be ordered from out of town & we agreed to pay expedited shipping, & yet it has supposedly taken over a week to get them in. We have called every working day to inquire on the status of our repair, & after going through the long & annoying phone tree occasionally gotten through to Esgar only to be told he doesn't know but will call us back in 15 min. ( He never does, so we call again in an hour or two). Often we are put through to the service dept. to hear the phone ring for about 15 min. before our call is dropped. I spent over an hour on the phone today listening to the phone ring on their end & then the call dropped. We finally drove in from Ritzville thinking that surly, after a week it would be done, but no.....they had one more thing to do, but put another vehicle in the bay instead & would be working on it for several more hours. I will adjust this review when we get our car back. I am afraid the price will be outrageous. My major complaints so far are 1.) the phone system! 2.) Lack of knowledge & follow through on the part of your garage manager. Both have made us feel that Bud Clary is a very poorly run business that has no respect or regard for it patrons. Meh. Over the years, they've been hit or miss, honestly. Their salesman came across a bit ignorant about their inventory when we were set to buy a new car and scheduled a test drive. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt since it was February, and maybe he hadn't driven all of the new vehicles or something, but it seems knowing you have a scheduled test drive for a certain model, one should familiarize themselves with the model the customer is coming to drive (especially since it's one of their most popular models). We had researched all of the comparable vehicles in the class and price range, and had pretty much already decided on the Toyota, so it was really just a formality at that point--there should have been very little "selling." Even after gushing about how "awesome" he thought the particular car we were driving was, and how it was "his baby," the salesman kept tripping over himself, having to refer to the window sticker when he was trying to sell us on features, etc. I was honestly surprised that no one else came out to talk to us, especially after we parted ways with the salesman and stuck around looking over and talking to each other about the car. (Way to help out the new kid, guys!...or to save the company a sale...) It doesn't incite confidence in a business when the customer knows more about the product than the salesman, who is the first employee the customer sees. We ultimately bought our car (identical to the one we test drove) from another dealer the next day because we lacked the confidence that the paperwork would be completed smoothly. Their service department is mostly good. They offer a 3 oil change package that makes synthetic oil changes cheaper than anywhere else in town we've used, so we have used them for all of our cars the last couple of years. Their service personnel can be a bit sloppy, forgetting to reset service warnings, leaving a bit of a mess inside the car, etc., but they clear the message and clean up after themselves without complaint when you point it out. On the Dodge side, they have a tendency for trying to up sell. One time we took one of our cars in for an oil change, they had noted the car's tires (which were brand new 5000 miles prior) and brakes in red, both of which they conveniently had a quote worked up when I picked it up....and of course, the next time we took it in for an oil change, without having any of the suggested work done, everything was marked in the green, and they had no excuse or answer of any kind when I presented them with the paperwork from the previous service, but their tech assured me he did inspect the car that day and all of his green marks were accurate. Because of this, I would definitely get a second opinion about about any work they recommend if your car isn't under warranty. Overall...I know I have quite a few negative-ish things to say, but they aren't really all bad, honestly. Their staff is *always* friendly, the place is *always* clean, and their shop is open on Saturday so it makes scheduling service convenient around work schedules. I'd imagine it would be really convenient to buy a car locally if you happen to get a salesman who was more experienced with the inventory. read more

This was my first time buying a car and I was definitely nervous about the whole thing. Start to finish, Bud Clary of Moses Lake took great care of me. Gary patiently let me test drive several different cars, including a Venza and Rav4, and ultimately ended up sending me home in a cute 2013 Toyota Matrix that was a perfect fit for ME. No one was pushy, aggressive or misleading. Instead, I felt everyone was upbeat and supportive and wanted nothing more than to make me happy in whatever decision I made. Very expensive place to have your truck serviced and I question some of their experience with mechanics. I have had my truck serviced here because for some reason the fog lights were not working. After 2 hours of work and crazy money charges they found that one of the main wires was simply unplugged. I had them show me which wire and it was nearly in plain site if you were lying under the rig. They still charged me 2 hours worth and didn't blink an eye. Obviously next time I will just take the truck to a quality shop that isn't going to screw me to plug in lights. The only reason I ran it in to this place was because the truck is brand new and I thought it would be covered under warranty. When I asked how that could have happened because I do not take the truck off road. They replied with "well it may have come from the factory like that". And still they charged me full 2 hours. Shady, unprofessional, incompetent to me but I guess you can't ask for much more in this town. read more
