Been there, done that, don't need to come back!…read more Tried the 3 meat plate w/ brisket, chicken, and ribs, and mac & cheese and okra for the sides. First, upon ordering the prices they charged me were higher than what was listed on the menu. When I asked about that, she just said the electronic menu needed to be updated. Apparently they don't care that that is illegal. The meat is all pre-cooked so they wrap it in plastic wrap and keep it in a warmer, so it was barely warm and there were bits of plastic in it. They were out of okra and had to make more. When they brought it out, it was in a paper bag. I dumped it onto the tray and it was waffle fries! I had to go back to the counter and get them to correct it. The girl in the back prep area was busy scrolling on her phone so the counter girl had to do everything. The chicken was so dry and hard that I could not stab it with the plastic fork. The brisket was chopped into tiny bits and was dry. It reminded me of kibble. The ribs were overcooked and dry as a bone. The sad little roll was ok, but there was no butter to be found. The mac and cheese was decent. Pretty good flavor and consistency. The okra was mediokra. Definitely frozen, and not homemade. The free ice cream wa so soft it ran off the cone so I filled my water cup with it and ate it with a spoon. That turned out to be the best part of the whole meal. I had been wanting to try this place for over a year. Overall, it was a huge, expensive disappointment.

The BBQ aroma meets you at the door as soon as you walk in. There's plenty of seating, and the restaurant is bright, and clean. I ordered the two-meat plate since I wasn't super hungry, and it was just enough to satisfy my taste for BBQ. The smoked sausage wasn't greasy and had a nice snap to it. The sliced brisket was moist with good smoky flavor, and not fatty at all. The Cole slaw was good, but I wouldn't mind a slightly larger portion. The toasted slice of Texas toast filled up the little last bit of space I had in my stomach. The meats were flavorful, and just what you'd want if you have a taste for BBQ. Service was quick, and friendly at the time of my visit which was on a Saturday afternoon. A good place for BBQ if you're not too picky, and hungry for some smoked meats.

Ordered the three meat plate with beans and fries and had to stop myself from finishing the entire plate.....they give you a lot of food. The brisket and turkey were equally tender and smoked to perfection. The beans were a highlight. You can tell they go all in on them. The ribs were great, too, and though it didn't need them, the sauces were all very flavor-forward and delicious. Great spot and I am looking forward to coming back again and again.

He gave me the side-eye, as if he'd forgotten my title of (Self-Proclaimed) Queen of Yelp. But little did he know...my powers were in full force! I had the Smoke 2 Joints on gluten-free bread. He had the Good Vibrations on a gluten-y bun. Boy, oh, boy, were they tasty! We demolished both sandwiches off before our EV even finished charging (and our EV likes to slurp electrons quickly). I'm struggling to figure out why there were some negative reviews, and I'm mystified. Who knows? But in my official capacity as the One and Only Yelp Savant, I'm here to tell you to disregard those people and get yer butt to the Goat! Sincerely, Your Queen PS: They have a nice patio area upstairs, and they don't do tap to pay. (Nice Goat owner, get a Square device and you'll be all set for tap to pay!)

We got a salad and I would not advise that option. Although fresh, it didn't have much going on, but was respectful as a side salad to the filling sando. Gives hippie, rock band garage vibes with an arcade on the second floor and a sick patio in the downtown area.
