I really don't like writing bad reviews for businesses, but I just left Buddha Gallery and Spa and had a terrible experience. Upon arrival, we said we had an appointment and she said, "you, here!" So I went in the room she pointed to and she said "face down!" Very frantic, no holas... como estas...
My husband and I both got the Lotus package which includes a "90 minute massage, facial and hair/scalp treatment". In reality, they do all 3 treatments in 90 minutes or less. The massage was maybe 40 minutes tops, and my masseuse was completely untrained. Like it was her first time in a spa. She was frantically pushing at my back with a very intense, nervous energy. I told her where places were tender and she kept pressing on them harder. I said it in Spanish too. Not exactly a massage... the hair treatment was a drizzling of oil in my hair that she didn't rinse out. Then she left the room for about 20 minutes and came back with a dirty bucket of water for my facial. Also, the strangest facial I've ever had. She just kept wiping by my face with her bucket of water and a sponge. I did get stream though if that's a plus.
The absolute worst part, there is no privacy or protection from outside noise. I was on a sort of patio and there was an industrial pressure sprayer running the entire time I was there. Ear piercing noise. There were guys yelling, able to see in when I was getting dressed. I still have the sound of that machine in my head too. I canceled the pedicure I had planned on doing afterwards bc of my experience. Oh yeah? The "free drink" you supposedly get, beer, wine, or tequila doesn't exist. Overall I would recommend you go somewhere else. I won't be back, $200usd gone and now I need a real massage to recover from that. read more
