I will give another review tomorrow after they come and move my furniture. But today we had packing services scheduled from 1-3 pm. They were here at 12:47 and left at 3:10. Rigo and Johnathan were very nice, efficient, helpful and careful packing our things. We highly recommend Buddy Moving. Even getting a quote Loreto was very kind and quick responses and good at keeping me informed. And also Lydia was very helpful as well. This is our first experience hiring movers and we are very pleased with my service across the board thus far. Tomorrow they come from (8-10 am) to disassemble and move our furniture and reassemble. UPDATE: Today Dominiq and Darius came with the truck. They were very professional, communicated clearly and effectively and worked very well together. They took extra care to protect all of our belongings and did not cut any corners. We have never used movers before and this experience was great! We highly recommend Buddy Moving to anyone moving. I went out on a limb to try a new mover. Never again. I inquired of these movers bc i saw the great reviews. Paid my deposit and scheduled the same day. They contacted me frequently to confirm my timeframe and date. I scheduled all my furniture and other movers after that time frame to ensure i was home. The morning of my move they call and had to change the time bc of a drivers injury and would be after noon. Even then i was understanding. The driver contacted me at 10:48 with his ETA. They arrived at 11:15 And there is nothing against the movers bc they definitely did what they could. They were super tiny men. At 11:48 there were 3 boxes and a part of my bed. This was a 5x10 storage super small box mostly boxes as i had thrown a lot away. After i complained to buddy the drivers began to move swiftly and were done at 12:15 which lets me know they were moving slowly. I get to my apartments and wait literally over 30 min for the driver. It's only a 10 min drive but notice they did not take the freeway prolonging more time. They arrive at 1:00 pm finished the move at 2pm...let me be clear the drivers were amazing! The driver tells me when completed they were the original drivers who was due to come out BUT management called me to do another job at 8am so basically they called me with lie this morning saying someone got hurt reason mine would be late! Thats absolutely horrible to lie like that but never again will i use this lying service again! read more

This has to be the worst moving company I've ever experienced! Overpriced! Unprofessional! They do not wrap your things properly! Broke several items. My mirror table is shattered. My TV is shattered. My mattress is completely dirty from them, dragging the bare mattress across the ground! And they definitely take their time to run up the charges! I moved a one bedroom studio apartment that took literally five hours with no furniture and coolant. Only TVs and a bedroom set! Booked this company two weeks in advance from my move. My scheduled arrival time from was 1-3pm. 3 pm comes and I have yet to hear from them. I wait 15 minutes just incase they had a grace period of contact. Still no word. I called the customer service line and all they could do is apologize. No eta and offered $25 off of my service. Well 4 o'clock came around and still no word or eta so I had to call and cancel the move and try and find new movers within a days time frame. My issue isn't even the tardiness it is the lack of communication and empathy. Clearly if someone is scheduling a service the service is needed for the time schedule. Things like moving isn't something people can always be flexible with. Mover Beware Of This Company If you are looking for an honest, reliable moving company, this isn't it. If you're reading this, take heed. If you're thinking about overlooking this review--I did the same thing, and now I regret it. I'm now stuck writing about my horrible experience. Buddy Moving damaged over $2,000 worth of my furniture. At first, I wasn't too worried because I purchased their insurance, thinking it would cover the damages. I later found out the insurance is essentially a scam and just another way for them to get more money out of you. After I submitted my damage claim along with receipts showing the value of my items, they offered me only $250. This doesn't even come close to covering the cost of repairs for some of the pieces. They claimed this amount was based on "fair market value," but could not provide any clear breakdown of how they calculated it. Originally, they stated coverage of $5.00 per pound, not to exceed the cost of the furniture. When I did the math and questioned it, they switched explanations to this vague "fair market value." Then they tried to offer me a $150 mirror to replace a $500 mirror they damaged, and a $200 sofa to replace not one--but two--$700 sofas. Please save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. My sister and I moved on the same day using this company. They dragged out her move to increase charges, and she later found damage to her furniture as well. They even made her remove her negative review before issuing any kind of refund--and she is still not satisfied. This company does not stand behind what they advertise. Awful. I specifically ask for movers that knew about King Size Sleep number beds, heavy ones. They sent 2 guys who had no idea what they were doing, scratched it dragging it down the stairs at my apartment, dropped it at my house and broke the foot frame and knocked a big chip on the headboard out. The driver was rude and stayed on his phone with ear buds in the total time talking to his girl friend, while also making plans with another female. The other guy Cory was doing all the work and telling the driver, when he did work, how to do things. It took from 9am to 4:15pm to move me. I told the driver how to get to my house and he turned the wrong direction even after being directly behind me in the truck. I called them and they told me we are following our GPS, I said it was wrong, driver said no it's not. Also, there was a hole torn in the mattress. See all pictures. read more

The WORST customer service experience I've ever had. Please listen to the bad reviews!! They are probably paying for the good ones. My scheduled time of mover arrival was from 1-3 pm. That's a 2 hour time frame. My movers did not arrive until 6:41 pm. I waited for them for 5 HOURS and 41 minutes. I needed to be there to let them in so I could not just go and run the errands I had planned. I would not have been able to just drop everything and run back when they came. I had to make all the calls for communication. I was NEVER informed that they would be late and I was also NEVER given an accurate ETA. Photos posted below. When I discussed this with the manager he said "Well, you're not getting the move for free." The policy states $25 off for every hour they're late. Okay. I did NOT go into this looking for a free move. I would have loved to have had my full day as expected, pay the full price, and tip my movers. Unfortunately I had the worst experience I have ever had with a company. The movers were NOT in uniform. I'm not sure who they sent because the movers barely knew any information about my move. Buddy movers states " Uniforms, accountability, or you get money back" Where is my compensation for that?????? That's beyond the "$25 hourly late rate" That's a completely different problem. The manager kept making excuses about all the other moves they had that day. ZERO accountability. I am a customer, paying just like everyone else. I deserved to be treated just the same. This review is a tale of two Buddy Moving experiences -- moving day and packing day. I'm going to start with moving day, since this is the POSITIVE part of my journey -- and I don't want to take away from the outstanding work the team of Maury and Martin did. This dynamic duo was sent to "clean up" the disaster that the packing team had made the day before. From the moment Maury and Martin arrived, they busted their butts to finish packing correctly, load all of my furniture (2 bedroom suites, a full living room, and office), move dozens of boxes and crates, and then set up all of this on the fourth floor of my new apartment community. They did not (and would not) stop, even with the especially high temps and humidity. They took great care handling my solid wood furniture -- from the second floor of my townhome, up a tiny elevator, and onto the 4th floor of my new place. It was very clear these two had handled challenging situations like this before, because it felt like a well-choreographed dance that was executed seamlessly. They were friendly, efficient, and professional from start to finish. I would highly recommend asking for this team if you have the opportunity. If they were the only team I dealt with at Buddy Moving, I'd easily have given 5+ stars! But, now the not-so-great part of this journey ... The day before my move, Buddy Movers sent a team of Cesar and someone else to pack my entire townhome. This was a DISASTER. Boxes were not labeled (which made unpacking a treasure hunt), glasses and dishes were wrapped so inefficiently that there was a whole roll of bubble wrap wasted, and contents were literally thrown into boxes. The worst part of it all was wardrobe boxes were used for some of my clothes, but no bar was included -- so clothes were just stuffed in and majorly wrinkled. I'm still ironing stuff two weeks later. Wardrobe boxes were also used for items in my kitchen, with pantry items (from cookies and crackers to glass jars of spaghetti sauce) swept from shelves and piled in these tall boxes. It was fun unpacking these few boxes, sarcastically, because it was one smashed item on top of another smashed item. This crew needs more training, more care, and more professionalism. On another positive note, after the packers left, I immediately called Buddy Movers and spoke with Jake, one of the managers. I explained how the packers packed, gave him details about one of the boxes I found that had not been taped up (a jumbled mess of stuff), and told him I wanted to cancel the move for the day after because I did not have confidence in the company. He reassured me that that's not how the company does business, offered me a full refund (to be applied to moving day), and asked for a second chance. I hesitantly agreed --- and I'm glad I did because I got Maury and Martin! To Jake and other leadership at Buddy Moving: Maury and Martin are the reason I WILL RECOMMEND your company to colleagues and friends. Please make sure they get the recognition they deserve. I had such a terrible ex with this company. 1. The movers used my clean bathrooms and left their waist in and on the toilet without flushing 3 times. 2. They were taking things apart they had no needs to be taken apart like 2 of my desks, my Glass and wood coffee table, in my $4000 LG refrigerator that I bought 8 months ago. 3. They took my refrigerator apart because they said they couldn't get it through the back door after I explain to them it came fully put together through the front door. But they insisted to take it apart. After taking it apart, they still have to put it through the front door Because it would not fit through the back door. When we got to my new home and they put the refrigerator together, it was not functioning at full capacity as it was before and they could not fix it. It ended up leaking water all over my floor and my new home all night. 4. It took them two trips to take all of my stuff to my new location and during the second trip going back to the house, one of the movers left my water running the entire time we were at the other house and we were gone for at least 4+ hours. 5. I had to continue to repeat myself for everything I wanted them to take and they ended up leaving my beautiful wood picnic table in the backyard at my old house. 6. Because they kept taking things apart, they had no need to be taken apart. It took them three times as long to do everything so the move was 13 hours. 7. When they broke my refrigerator, they lied and said someone will be back the next day. No one came back. I called their support line and they said they never reported it, but they still never sent me a claim to file on the damage property. 8. I've written reviews and I've complained for the last three days and no one has returned my call or try to accommodate any of the headache that I had to endure. 9. This move cost me $3000 and it wasn't worth $500. 10. They did not put the correct address of the rooms that were supposed to be in there so there were things that were upstairs. It should've been downstairs things that were downstairs that should've been upstairs even though they were labeled correctly.. 11. Two of my movers did not speak English, so there was a lot being lost in translation. 12. They pretended like they were going to call me back and accommodate my complaints, but I still have not heard from anyone. I will be making calls daily into someone replaces the amount of money. I spent on my refrigerator and gives me some of this money back I pay for this horrible move.. 13. I have sent a detailed messages, pictures before and after and also have cameras during the move and they have not Been consistent in communication. no one even apologized for the damage that was caused. they were supposed to be at my residence from 1-3pm.. i had to call multiple times finally the driver called back at 4pm they didn't arrive until after 6pm. please do not use this company they are over priced and they do not care about doing a safe and reliable job. it's all about how fast they can get done to end the day. if I could make a review on any platform I will just to save people the hassle and anguish. read more

I do not recommend this company at all. Worst experience ever. Read their negative BBB reviews before hiring them! One of the reviews speak of them smoking marijuana on the job, I too had the same experience and then some. The guys showed up smelling strongly of marijuana. Even my flooring guy made a comment about the strong odor. The smell made us extremely nauseous all day and my hand was even left smelling after shaking theirs. I hired them because they said it was a flat rate of $150 an hour. This was not the case. They tried charging a service fee plus a credit card fee at the end even though they only take credit. I was told the move would be 2-3 hours but that turned into 5. They clearly took their time, the movers got into a heated argument which delayed time. I walked up on hen argument and was fearful they were about to start fighting so I turned around feeling very uneasy the remainder of the day. The two man crew that arrived quickly became a one man which delayed things even more. One of the guys continually complained of being in pain, kept having to stop and rest, and just could not do the job. I had a rug that was ruined in the process and was told to file a claim through email. I did, but it's been over a week and zero response which I kind of figured would be the case after speaking to the owner. He was quick to defend his guys saying "they were just vaping" that was the strongest vape I've ever smelled! The mover told me he would talk to the lever about a discount because it shouldn't have taken that long and he says he's had complaints before about the guy. The company does not do anything they promise or take responsibility for errors or bad employees. It is my hope others will read the negative reviews and take them serious. There are many! Hired Buddy Moving to move my household 6 blocks. No boxes, no clothing. Simple move. No stairs. Estimated my move 2 men, $950.00. 3 men showed up, took longer than estimated & fee was $1,100. Moved into a vacant, redone home, new flooring was down for 3 weeks. The furniture was delivered with chips & gouges. Hall table leg broken. Guest bed missing one leg. Deep scratches in my new flooring. I submitted the Claim to Trenton & it was denied. I hired an Attorney to write a letter demanding payment for the new flooring & the furniture based on 60 cents per 100. It was send to their Insurance Company in August, my move was in April. The Claim was denied based on "non compliance of the Insured". I filed in Small Claims Court, however he moved his location. Now I will file again with what is supposed to his "new Location" in Dallas. Worst move I have ever had. read more

The men that were sent out were very kind but both of my lampshades ended up cracked, my box spring was placed on my bed frame upside down so the mattress fell through when I sat on it, my work desk had a chip out of the corner, and my over-the-toilet shelf was broken and had to be thrown away. For the last one, they said it was already like that but by the time it was unloaded it would barely stand on its own. When everything was said and done, one of the movers showed me a tip screen on his phone and watched me while I made my selection. Mr. Omar and the young man that was with him is exceptional, they work so well together love their service. I highly recommend them for any moving that I'll be doing. Pricing was very high even though it was a in-house move. Just needed a few items move inside the house that I couldn't do. They were loo only here for 40 minutes but still had to pay for 2 hours which I didn't need. As many others have detailed, this business is unethical, unprofessional, and disturbingly negligent. The move cost me over $1,000, with an additional ~$1,500 in damages to my property. What's more troubling than the damages is the blatantly disrespectful nature of their response. Upon filing the damage claim, I made it clear that I wasn't willing to accept the state-mandated minimum damage reimbursement. The primary damage wasn't the result of a simple accident; it was flagrant negligence that I directly witnessed. I would've happily attended mediation and accepted the outcome. Unfortunately, the manager handling the claim seemed less interested in reaching a professional resolution. State regulations require the moving company to either deny your claim or provide a settlement offer within 90 days. 80 days after I submitted the claim and 74 days after our final correspondence, where the manager said they would "diligently review" the claim, I finally heard back. Seventy-four days of diligent review where they didn't assess the damages or contact me. This seems like a vindictive and childish retaliation to my intent to pursue mediation. Finally, the settlement offer, provided after 74 days of "diligent review," arbitrarily subtracted 36% of the estimated weight. More troubling is the fact that they presented the total weight as an established fact, neglecting to point out the discrepancy. The settlement offer totaled $250.80. Interestingly, in a previous conversation with another manager regarding the destroyed 75" TV, they stated a maximum payout of $250. The 36% reduction in the estimate I provided was 240 pounds off a 350-pound estimate. Oddly coincidental that the reduction landed them almost exactly at $250. Normally I would give a reputable business the benefit of the doubt, but they've proven themselves to be anything but. This is what they decided to pay, surreptitiously tweaking the estimates to accommodate. A final bonus mention - they called and requested to move the appointment up 4 hours the morning of the move, promptly canceling the appointment when I explained that would not work for me. After calling in to rectify that, they ultimately showed up 3 hours late to the scheduled appointment. Normally, I wouldn't be particularly bothered by this, but the confluence of problems resulting from how this company is managed and operated demonstrates a clear pattern of unprofessional behavior and shady practices. They simply do not deserve your, and anyone else's, money. This is the only time I have ever felt compelled to write a review, but I feel the need to warn others about the kind of people you're considering entrusting with all of your belongings. They don't care about you or your stuff. Don't take my word for it though; I've attached all of the correspondence between myself and the manager regarding the damage claim to my identical review on Google for you to draw your own informed conclusion. read more

I watched the movers have to many boxes at one time on the dolly and 3 fell off breaking several pieces. They called I supposably had a claim filed with Trenton !.
